Where was the MIGHTY 2JZ when the Gibson Racing R32 GTR's were absolutely destroying the V8's and for that fact everything else around Bathurst in the early 1990's? Has the mighty Supra ever set a production car lap record around the Nurnburgring? Stock standard? Hmm let me think about that one for a minute... Which car has more heritage? The whale or the racing car that was banned for being too fast... If you live your life a quarter mile at a time then go buy a fully sick supra. I used to dream about owing a Skyline as a kid and now I have one and I dont give a s**t if a supra is faster in a 10 second run.

Yeah I agree with you there it is discrimination. Everyone should get a fair trial and be judged equally. I am guessing if the whole legal system wasn't so weak this would be the case. Dude the police force are obviously doing A job. But they are not doing the right job. I couldn't agree with this article more. The police in NSW are the most useless incompetent waste of time third leg that could ever exist without being described as a waste of oxygen. Come on I am all for Policing, but how about catching violent criminals as opposed to hassling law abiding citizens about a BOV??? There have been WAY too many situations here in the last few years where large violent gangs have been allowed to incite violence because Police are wimpy little pussies who would rather hassle an easy target. This isn't helped by the fact that Senior Police are much more worried about collecting statistics to help them get re-ellected than actually doing their job. I totally apologise to the 5 Honest cops left in NSW and I hope that you can kick ass from within.

I have been running Vista on my system from the early betas up to the RC2 and MSDN corporate release and on my 3.9Ghz P4 with 2GB ram and an AGP 6800GS it performs quite nicely. A 6800GS will get you playing recent games with decent res but make sure that it isnt a cut down 128BIT, 128MB, DDR2 or less than 12Pipe card. Unfortunately only the AGP NV40 Gpu 6800 cards can be unlocked. Since the NV42 (PCIE 6800) is a smaller die size it can run higher clocks, unfortunately it is hardware locked. When DX10 is finally released it is going to be like when DX9 came out: the Radeon9700 was awesome but DX8 cards like the Geforce TI4200 still owned for quite some time.

Dude, I paid $450 for my 6800GS AGP last December when it first came out. It runs the NV40 AGP GPU which is a 130nm die and comes with factory 350Mhz (gpu) and 256MB 256bit GDDR3 @ 1.1ghz. Mine is a 12 pipe card which I was able to software unlock to 16 and overclock to 425/1.2ghz. It kicks arse, but dont discount the PCIE NV42 6800GS. It is native PCIE and while u cant unlock it, you can overclock way harder. Hilbert at Guru3D.com got it to above 450 MHZ. With a 3.0+ Ghz P4 or equavilent and a gig of ram, it will run all recent games quite nicely (for only $200). Make sure that the 6800GS ur getting is a 256bit card with 256MB of GDDR3. Anything less is going to be a big let down. Yeah sure an 8800GTX is going to shit on anything but when im sinking all my cash into my Skyline I dont want to stuff all my cash into the geekometer. BTW I'm a network admin and I run an infrastructure of about 100 high end kick ass 3D workstations.

How about Unique Autosports, are their kits any good? http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/priceli...er33styling.htm They have some nice looking bars, but im still not sold on the fibreglass.

Overclocking is done manually using the front side bus frequency and depending on your board/cooling you can get very good results. Since you have PCI-e im assuming that you have a LGA775 board. Later P4 cpus on that socket have been known to reach insane overclocks of 5.0+ Ghz (from a 3.0ghz cpu). Google is your friend here! The NVIDIA cards are definitely the way to go as Radeons have compatability problems and are also less advanced unless you are going X1900+. I'd definitely recommend the 6800 over an X800 series card and mine has no probs running latest games like FEAR, NFS Carbon but I find that less and less i am maxing out the Res/Detail U can get 7900GS Geforce cards for under $300 these days and they are prolly the best value u can get anywhere!

Hey dude, I have the same setup as you exept AGP. Try upgrading your CPU cooler and overclocking your cpu. I was able to go from 3.2 > 3.99Ghz which made a big difference. If you can hang on a few months, NVIDIA and ATI are going to be releasing DirectX 10 Shader model 4.0 compliant video cards which will shit on anything available at the moment. So if you pick up a mid range card then it will be as fast if not faster than anything available now. If you want to upgrade now, check out the Nvidia 6800GS or the 7600GT. Id go the 7600GT but you may pay a little more than $200. I still run a 6800GS 256MB (unlocked with the f**k overclocked out of it) and it plays Fear quite (VERY) nicely, but it is beginning to lack somewhat. Sorry dudes, this car was advertised on here a few months back and it was built up from a GTS4 by some Australian guy (forget who). I did a bit of thread hunting but couldnt find the original. Still a bloody nice car!!!

So it seems that we are all stuck with our mangled stock front bars. I have a plastic welder lined up to repair the damage to my bar and re spray it but come on, An OEM GTR bar would look so hot - there has to be a way to do it, there are even pics of an S2 GTS with the bar above...

So the story gets better. Me and Dad spent the afternoon pulling the front lip spoiler off the factory S2 front bar. I have never seen so much sikaflex and dodgy repair work in my life. It looks like there was some front end on Japanese driveway action and only the lip was repaired, and not very well at that. A coat of fresh paint quite nicely hid the repair work... Is that Factory GTR bar shown above a special or custom part or can you retrofit any GTR bar to go onto the GTS cause at the moment im leaning towards that option. P.S. Sorry to whore your thread Stevo but i reckon we are in the same boat. I dont want some dodgy piece of shit hanging off the front of my pride and joy either.

I am in the same position. Girlfriend borrowed teh car and gave it back with a mangled front bar (car park entry). Lip is destroyed. I dont know if I want to stick with the S2 front bar or go after market. Either way te bars gotta get resprayed. Where is a good place to go for body kits in Syd? I want to try and get the car to showroom condition and all I can seem to find are dodgy fibreglass rip offs... Cheers, Christian.

Hi, my series 2 33 GTST has been developing the same problem. It makes a harsh screech as it comes on to boost (It does have a massive Blitz pod filter). I always thought that is was due to the nylon compressor wheel. If I was to do the gasket off the manifold to the turbo, would there be any other gaskets that would or should require replacement?
