  1. Update...We're back on for LM! Motorsport is taking precedence over weddings. There is a god
  2. Awesome times Ant. Looked like I could give you a run for your GT-R money early on, but then somehow you found a second...(which I STILL cant find by the way) I had a good slide coming up to the crest at Oh Sh1t, just got it straight again before the crest, but like you said, talk about a heartstarter! Well done on your 4th outright, with only a few sorted race cars and someone with LOTS of experience in front of you!
  3. Dane, are you talking about the tour for Lake Mountain in MArch or Targa at the end of April? I am looking at doing the tour at Lake Mountain...
  4. If it turns out that way and you need a Nav, I know of a good lightweight one who would be available
  5. Not sure if we'll be there or not. Would like to think so, as the roads around that area are fantastic and should suit the Evo 4 just nicely and why arent we talking about it?!?!? Other than that, will be at Targa for a crack at Rookie, a year on the dirt in the VCRS and the occasional trackday with the WRX club in Vic. Tassie is still the shizz...just dont make eye contact with the locals.
  6. We're out of Lake Mountain due to my chauffeur having to attend a wedding on the Saturday So...I'll do the tour instead for sh1ts and giggles.
  7. Awesome vid Kel, that moment looks very similar to one we had on Woodbridge 1. Ours wasn't quite as colse though, we stayed on the black stuff
  8. Was this person a Skyline driver? I know of an STi driver who was thinking of doing the same. Either way, $4+ for E85 seems a little steep does it not? Does limiting supply through only 1 channel have ACCC implications?
  9. The entire strech from Whitfield to the power lines is just brilliant. Looking forward to tackling it The 'incorrect' E85 you speak of being used, was that E85 obtained from another supplier (ie not through the official TWP channels) or an incorrect blend?
  10. There weren't any corners listed as having a penalty for cutting this year, so I doubt anything will come out of. Good to see no chicanes there too
  11. I was chatting to him before the presentations and he mentioned the need to change how he drove the raging bull. Instead of relying on teh powah to pull him down the straights, he was finding the need to try and carry more corner speed. How that is possible...I don't know
  12. Me too...I thought the Targa 09 one got written off? Could be wrong though
  13. I dont remember it being too incriminating... Looking at our pace, we were just under .5sec/km slower than the Early Modern winning 996 Turbo so over 200 competitive that left us trailing by 87 seconds. Maybe next time on softer tyres (we weren't on Ms) and with a few subtle tweaks to the suspension settings we will be able to ride the bumps better and show a little more pace Bring on Lake Mountain
  14. Agreed Ben...it should be made public to further discourage. I was surprised to see fuel testing at the end of Pelverata yesterday morning and from what we could see it was a targeted swoop as there was a spotter relaying car numbers to the actual testing area a further 100m on.
  15. If they use the road from Whitfield to Mansfield for some of the THC stages it will be one cracker of an event :-) Looking forward to you having another good trouble free run Snowy...you were only just off our time on Longley with the control arm broken Bring on the competition...next time were coming with softer tyres
  16. OMG...what a fantastic weekend. Newton is CRAZY and I love it! Just wait 'till he fully gets a handle on the pace notes We were only .5sec/km slower than the Early Mod winners - just a pity we had done 200k competitive Well done to Bris for the short notice call-up...by all accounts you're a natural
  17. Yeah I was riding shotgun. Hadn't called anything...was enjoying the ride. Must have been very hot back there and by all accounts the fireball out the back was massive! We're on the boat next Wednesday night so we have 8 days. Fingers crossed the car will be ready for a dyno run Monday and a run around Winton on Aus Day. Plenty of time!!!!
  18. Tim, I can vouch...first hand...that Audi sounds amazing!!! Once the exhaust is changed it will really turn heads and ears Snowy, how cool are the "last minute" crew!!!!! lol
  19. Yeah that would be it. Getting the left seat put in, and the remainder of the dash etc... Tuning this week and shakedown on Sunday
  20. Hopefully the driver doesnt want to stop for a latte at every cafe along the way I was just thinking about Wrest Point and the lack of talk about it here... The Evo 4 is just about finished and we're on the boat 3 weeks from tonight
  21. Great video Kel...maybe next time, lose the music so we can hear ya a bit better. Music and Incar don't really go together unless you dont have intercom audio. As an added benefit we get to hear that RB sing
  22. Um, yeah, that's why we're heading down to Hobart for the finish in 2010
  23. All good Benny. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend as it was so don't stress too much about it
  24. One of the best weekends ever. Got to ride in the tour as a passenger in an R35, Evo 9 and the infamous Close 996TT. The 35 was fun (sideways is cool ay Snowy!) and the 996 unbelievably fast. It wasn't hard to imagine how the 911 holds the Targa Prologue record...soooooo tourquey everywhere! Thanks Snowy for the ride and the drinking companionship well before everyone else had even finished :-D Bring on next year...I'm going to the darkside and navving for Adam Newton in his newly built Evo 4 RS. See ya'll at TWP
  25. I'll be there regardless of whether I have a seat on the left side of a car or not...I think we're staying in the Mt Buller Chalet as Jenna is in with Troy Nicholson in the AWD Monaro and he pays for accom
