  1. These are still for sale, you'll be hard pressed to find these cheaper brand new and posted. Cheers! Gagz
  2. I think you've got most of the basic mods already covered...you can remove the boost restrictor olive which will give you a couple more psi but on old stock ceramic turbos may not be a wise move. Im still new to the rb26 as well but I'd say upgrade to R34 N1 turbos with some 600/700/800cc injectors, a decent size FMIC and chuck a PowerFC in her and you can safely run 260-320awkw which should keep you happy for a while Cheers! 3. Hey All, Went to the drags a couple weekends ago and on the 6th run my clutch went. What had me scratching my head is I thought when a clutch wore that the take up point became farther from the firewall, that the clutch had to be let out further before it would take up. Mine did the complete opposite, moving closer to the firewall to the stage where I couldn't get it into gear until I popped the clutch pedal rubber rest off so I could press the clutch 6mm further in. Does this signify that I have done something else? Or is that just the way it works in R32 GTRs with blown clutches? On the 5th run, I didn't notice any clutch slip at all and on the 6th it just went once I hit 2nd gear and from then on it just slipped any time I came on full boost, to the point where I would hardly accelerate at all. Seemed very sudden, with no slow wearing. Cheers! Craig PS. It's an OS Giken twin plate clutch, probably between 3-4 years old running 270awkw for most of that time and when I ran it down the strip it had been re-tuned to 323awkw a few days before.
  4. Hey All, Update on the leaking injectors....got some new OEM orings in, going to try and fit them tonight. I have some new info as well on the matter, been talking to Ben at Racepace and he has informed me that quite often its a case of the aftermarket injector not seating all the way in and causes injector leak. To fix it you need to fit a spacer between the fuel rail and injector to push the injector fully in, Ben said you can get a little spacer piece from Enzed that fit perfectly. Will let you all know how it goes. Cheers! Gagz
  5. Also spotted this, what do you think those hoops either side of the bonnet latch on the underside of the bonnet are?? Im thinking built in bonnet locks, like the aftermarket bonnet pins people put on for high speed racing. Cheers! Gagz
  6. I wouldn't say its not much power at all except in comparison to some very high power cars. I guess that system is good enough for current power but when you want to get serious power, an exhaust upgrade is definitely on the mod shopping list If I ever had enough money to get an R35 I would probably upgrade it anyway and maybe the air intakes depending on how good the stock ones are just so it could breathe easier, free up a few kws. Cheers! Gagz
  7. Hey, Just remember someone saying how it would be expensive to modify the GTR and one of the reasons was it had dual exhausts so would cost twice as much. Basically what im getting at is the illusion that it comes with dual exhausts like a 300zx, looking at the below pic you can see that it goes to a single pipe halfway along and splits again at a T piece near the rear, so its not a true dual exhaust. This surprised me as I thought they would go a full performance dual exhaust being the performance/supercar car it was built to be, but instead it looks its small and restrictive and not what you'd expect to see on a turbo'd car. Its obviously good / flows enough though for the power it puts out. Anyone else have these thoughts? Cheers! Gagz PS..Does anyone actually know where it states what type of exhaust it is....diameter (2.5"??), material (titanium??), press bent or mandrel...etc??
  8. Decided to start in a new thread as its a bit off track for this thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t191583.html Cheers! Gagz
  9. Lucky bastard .... very nice, looks immaculate! Cheers! Gagz
  10. Hi All, I've got someone after just two of the caps. If theres anyone else that just wants two, please PM me asap. Otherwise these are still for sale. Cheers! Gagz
  11. Hey, Never been there before, maybe previous owner took it there. Cheers! Gagz
  12. Excellent, just what I was looking for fellas. I guess Ill be talking to Ben shortly. Cheers! Gagz
  13. If people would like to share their tuning stories as well, like went in with so much power, did this and that and ended up with this much power....and whether you felt you got what you paid for. Cheers! Gagz
  14. Yeah from Bendigo so don't know any workshops and specifically after power fc tuning specialists. Thanks all so far, will do a search on racepace and see what everyone says about them. Cheers! Gagz
  15. Hey All, Looking to get my rb26 power fc re-tuned soon, was wondering if anyone knows any good tuners in Melbourne? People with experience and really know their power fc's. I was talking to Sam from Dr. Drift a while ago, seemed to know what he was on about...anyone had theirs tuned through him, any good? If this has already been discussed in another thread, please point me there as I searched but couldn't come up with any specific threads talking about power fc tuning experiences. Cheers! Gagz
  16. Yeah I agree with everyone so far, the front doesnt look quite right...Im sure you'll get used to it though. Definitely a very mean looking machine from the rear view. Dont know if I like the plastic engine cover that everyone seems to be adopting these days and would love to have seen a straight six in there but wouldn't say no to the current engine with its torque figures From what I can see in the pics, looks like it has a start/stop ignition button just below the gear shifter . And like sleepy said where the 100 mark is on the speedo....I hope no one thinks they are doing 40 and accelerate to where 100 would normally be I also noticed that after 100, the increments go up in 30s....130,160,190,220,etc..does anyone know what they're top speed spec. is supposed to be? Its a shame they wont have a full manual car, its just not the same experience with flappys. Still if I could afford one, I would definitely buy one Cheers! Gagz
  17. Yes, most definitely still for sale. Its boxed up and ready to go to the first person who wants it and has the money. Please let me know if you have any questions. Cheers! Gagz
  18. Yes it would be fine for yours. Going by the chart for RB25DETs in the 34s, you have to use an old type like mine for some reason. Are you interested then XQZIT? Cheers! Gagz
  19. http://paulr33.sauvic.com.au/docs/powerfc-...erfc-faq.htm#70 It basically says in this FAQ, to check the sticker / product code on the side of the powerfc unit and check it against the apexi table in the link on my first post....eg. pfc product code "RB26" = commander "FCC NT" this is for the BNR32, for a BNR33 (R33 GTR), the product code on the side of the pfc box should be "GTR33" which on the table shows you can use either the FCC NT or FCC3. So best thing to do is check your pfc code and match it up on that table. Id say your in the same boat with me Vspec R33 if it says RB26 on the side of your powerfc unit. Cheers! Gagz
