meh, its life. http://photos.jay019.com/published/ all the newspaper ones. maybe if i stuck at it long enough to get good things might have been different? but thats in the past now, light painting is more fun and doesnt cost as much (when its close to home anyway)

not sure how else to attach it to the frame, i dont have any dodgy body kit on my bike like the example pic you posted as for the graff shots, im not into making money off someone elses hard work. i'll leave that the people like the editors of the newspapers that were happy to use my shots but not to pay me a measly $20, lol

or this... i need to get out a bit earlier tonight tho so there is more ambient light around. this is just with the gopro also till i can organise a mount for the G12 and get some slow shutter happening as for the 'neon' graff pics. cant really sell them unless the original artists are ok with it and so far none are getting back to me.

i like this one Nick. lighting is nice and smooth. im going to be doing some light painting on a car and graff wall this weekend. the graff wall i probably wont have a problem with, but the car is making me a little nervous, lol. i reckon i need to work on a diffuser for my light stick. otherwise i'll be spending a heap of time trying different distances from the car and speeds that i walk past.will be interesting to see if i can pull it off.

thats sweet matt! finally knocked together a frame for one of my light painted pics. they looked too dark printed out so i thought they should be displayed the way they were taken, with LED's.

congrats dude. you already know how much i love that first shot, crazy. the group seem a little over sharpened or something tho? they seem a bit 'grainer' than normal, or am i tripping? i should get off my butt and take some shots soon. poor camera probably forgot what it was built for well there is this one shot i took the other day... oh, and this one from today... lol

damn that 5d3 is good Sidd. my G12 gets unusable over around ISO800, lol. i reckon i would make use of ISO12800 a fair bit in my travels, specially knowing how sweet the pics would turn out.

yeah, like NA said, its a set aperture and full auto exposure. It has a 170° angle so swapping to another camera would mean less of a view. it was fun to do but i dont think i'll be doing much refinement on it. ultimately having a full quick release setup would be nice as its a pain to get in and out the house and to unbolt, lol. i can picture in my mind the kind of hardware i would need to make it better, but its a cost i cant justify for a few shots. i have a couple of other projects that need to be finished first.

sorry, double post. tried a different kind of rig mounting. still needs something to make it more stable. with access to materials and the right tools I reckon I could make it solid enough for my G12 to get slower shutter speeds happening.

cheers dude. i dont have money to spend on the latest/greatest but thats not really such a bad thing. came up with an idea to make the rig more stable. going to give it a try today and see if it works out.

cliff notes: go like http://www.facebook.com/MumsPostieBike with more details: ok guys. this isnt exactly photography related as such, but photography will play a part... http://www.facebook.com/MumsPostieBike I am planning on helping the Apex foundation provide relief for cancer patients and their families. Every year since 2007 they have run an Outback postie bike ride to raise funds for Apex and this year I hope to be a part of the ride. Riders need to raise a minimum of $500 for Apex before they can participate. My mum bought a postie bike and to cut a long story short me and my brother gave it an exciting but hard life and its in need of restoration if its going to be ridden on the ride. This is the bike in question... Yeah, she is a mess. Anyway, in order to get the bike finished by the time the Apex ride starts (Mid October) I need to finance the restoration project. Thats where "Mums postie bike" comes into it. I plan on using the page as somewhere to document the project and to share the names of everyone who helps make the dream a reality. I'm hoping it will be a good promotional tool for local companies wanting to help me to help the Apex foundation. If the ride becomes a reality it will also be somewhere to keep everyone up to date on the ride and all the crazy things we get up to while spending 4 days traveling over 1100km of some of the countries toughest terrain in the South Australian outback. So to make it relevant to the thread, its going to have a heap of awesome pics of crazy two wheeled action, included me stacking once or twice no doubt, lol. if you read all this, cheers... now go like http://www.facebook.com/MumsPostieBike thanks.
