  1. Ok further to this, can someone please measure the voltage at the end of the blue wire that goes to their temp sender...measure between ground and also state your system voltage as well please and your car/engine. Thanks!
  2. also depends if you have bigger injectors or not... if you do you need to 'size' theminthe power fc to get the values to line up... its also best not to do this on idle as they will always be a a bit out. make sure your closed loop function is off too (O2 feedback)
  3. Hi Guys, i need some help with the temp sensor for my skyline...i have an R33 GTST 1995 Series 1.5 i remember some time a while ago i had the guage play up, just went really low or fliekered or something like that. anyway i replaced the sensor and it was all out of whack... the guage read really high. so i just pulled the needle and 'recalibrated' it... the genuine part from nissan is: 25080Y recently i put a GTR dashin my car as i needed a new one (tacho and speedo playing up) and i have this issue back again... the temp needle reads right off the scale when the car is at temp (81degC) now upon futher investigation (and using FAST) i have discovered that the temp sensors across the Skyline Range all seem to be the same one... I am using the Tridon one (TTS036) does anyone know where i should be looking if there is another issue? i mean its just a simple cicuit as far as resistance is concerned... for the mean tim i am putting a resisitor inline to get it 'close'...
  4. here is some info on the pump guys: http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm
  5. Hi Guys, here we have a very good condition R33 GTR pump for you Gtst ready to drop in! Located in Sydney (Botany/Airport area) Looking for $100
  6. Hi guys, im after the small water temp sender for the gauge... anyone got one lying around please? im in sydney/botany... but its so small you could put it in a normal envelope.... let me know peeps!
  7. also is there any way in datalogic to see the injector timing in relation to spark timing? and rpm?
  8. John, thanks that all makes a lot of sense. just so you know, the VTC advances by 20deg, not 10. also i tried setting the POwer FC VTC setting to 0rpm in datalogit and that made it seem to turn on and off with accelerator activity...very strange. i have since set it to 1050 rpm which is its normal switch on point and its all good no, its not activating at all... i have reset my HKS cams to their 0deg points and i'll see how it all goes from here...
  9. did you even read my first post??? the reason i ask is that from my reading so far, and sheer logic, its important for the injector to fire at a certain time in relation to the valve opening (working out if this is before the valve opens or after or during or whatever). based on this knowledge, if you take into account VTC and the advancement of the cam shaft by 20deg, does the ecu then add 20deg timing to the injector pulses? further to this again, if i remove VCT or atleast just disconnect it, will the ECU still be firing as if the VTC was working (one would assume so)? and then just by telling the PowerFC to have the VTC point at 1050rpm (rather than 4700rpm which is where it would normally turn VTC advancement off (so in effect not activating it at all), will this assit with fuel delivery, emission and economy?
  10. Correct me if im wrong, but isnt injector timing and valve opening timing critical to be synced together... Ie when the valve is opening the injector fires so the air rushing in takes with it the atomised fuel?
  11. So what tells the injectors to fire? I know the ecu does but whats it linked to? Does vtc cause them to fire 20deg earlier?
  12. Thats the NVCS intake cam yeah? You running any gears? If so any adjustments?
  13. hey dude, i'll take the clutch fan provided its uncut and in good condition...
  14. let me know if you did anything with cam gear timing please...
  15. wow, i have 264s on both intake and ex and have no valve float... No VCT on the 264 intake...its an RB20 camshaft... let me know how you go with these cams.... i am thinking i should have gone the 256 on the intake to keep the VCT... bit of a storey there...
  16. where r u buying these from? they are massive cams!
  17. yeah keep us updated on thsi one bro... what cat did you end up buying?
  18. thats has got to be the deal of the century! lucky person whoever bought these!
  19. hey dude, befor eyou go throwing it out...may i suggest you take the right and just temporarily plug it into the left side so you can determine if its the motor thats not working or if its the signal/power not getting there... same problem in my r33 and i still cant find the issue...i think its in the massive connector that is well hidden that plugs the entire door to the body of the car, this does all the door functions (windows, mirror, locks, speakers, etc)
  20. you still got the instrument cluster? location in sydney?
  21. Ok so I was cleaning the aac valve by trying to fix my idle hunting and I thought hmm I'll clean the air reg too. So after a bit of swearing trying to get it out without removing the plenum, I finally started to pull it apart. Once apart I finnally cracked it open and I struck Texas gold!!! Oil galour! Now this I'm sure is not good... What would be causing this?!?!
