  2. My engine check light isn't coming on any more since I disabled the AFM monitoring. Thanks for everyones help. Mark
  3. Sorry for all the indicating Jimbo around those round abouts. At that stage i was becoming paranoid of the cops and was trying to do everything right. I was taking off very gently at lights incase my stock BOV or stock air filter made a flutter. Jimbo, I'm surprised you didnt get pulled over for driving with your driving lights on. I was going to suggest turning them off. Ahh, so thats where those 2 patrol cars went. I didnt see them after they took off. I continued doing 60km/h on the freeway just to put some distance between myself and them. Franky came up behind me and I thought it was another highway patrol car trying to push me along, but once he overtook and said g'day on the CB everything was back to normal. I was having a think at work: they seemed to target monie (the station wagon insisted in cutting in front of me to get behind moanie) because she had a history with the EPA and would be likely to vent to atmo - giving them an excuse to pull her over? Carlo, did I miss all the action at Gosford Maccas? Was this when you were waiting for me to arrive? Mark
  4. I have to work now Anyways, that station wagon that was following you Monie - it was trying to break the group by laging back at the trafic lights and trying to shake me. He would then speed up (once past the lights) to sit on your tail. Any word from Darren yet? Mark
  5. Well that was fun. 2 police cars in front of me (and behind moanie) while 2 patrol cars followed me from the petrol station where I saw moanie? and others. They followed me at least 20km on the highway until i reached 60km/h and they pulled away. Thankfully Frankie caught up with me and accompanied me home (along with a 200sx and a 7.2L R32 from Newcastle). Thanks slo200 and Bigvis for the cruise to Thornleigh. Mark
  6. My navigator (B-Man) has bailed on me due to illness. Anyone cruising from the northern beaches to thornleigh or will i have to use my map again? What road is the meeting place one? Mark

Looks like i'm taking Brendan too so he will have some input into it as well - he has taken be on cruises before. Your welcome to cruise back with me.   8. What the warranty on the cbs? Mine only worked for 1 cruise (australia day) and since then no one can hear be, but I can hear everything. I got it for christmas last year. Brandan: you might want to bring along your cb on friday Mark

  11. I've got less power than you with the same mods + FMIC + powerFC + fuel system. 251.9 @ 12psi Are we going to have another dyno day so I can compare how my car goes with other cars with similar mods? Mark

  13. Jimbo, we ended up at palm beach. The lights must be bad the st ives; we were stopped for a good 5-10min on monavale rd waiting for people. what work has been done to zero g? It just took off in front of me while we were cruising at 90km/h. Shite. Mark
  14. There was too much trafic on the road this morning to test out Steves suggestion. Hopefully when I leave for work there wont be as many cars on the road. Steve, I think i found that option in the second menu where you select the optional boost controler. I'll keep you informed how it goes tonight. Fingers crossed that it will solve my problem so I dont have to fork out any more money. Thanks for everyones help. MArk

  16. I wouldnt mind some seat covers. Would it be cheaper if a number of them are dumped at one of the customers house, then other customers living near by pick them up from there? I'm thinking of this if a few northern beaches people order them. Mark
  17. Majanal, I've got no idea why I said that to you before... it really doesnt make sense. Someone must have slipped something into the coffee at work =) Steve, I like the car as it is - it absolutely flys! I dont like the engine check light coming on because I worry about doing damage to the car. I wont be upgrading any further because the next step will cost far too much. When I get into my car again i'll have a play with the commander and see if i can switch the AFM check thing off. I'll let you know how it goes tommorow. Ustasa, I was with the tuner when he did my car. I made sure he tuned it for reliability rather than for power. Being a beginer to cars, what i think he did was tune it just before it started pinging, then he reduced the timing by 2 and did filled in all the dips etc. with the power curve, then he reduced the timing by 2 again as a safty buffer. After it was tuned he set some stuff so the engine would shut down or something if the engine reached somewhat impossible/improbable levels - just in case. I've just been to my mechanic that did all the work (except for the tune) and he took me for a drive - since I cant drive. I now know how quick the car is, I just have to start modifying myself to be a better driver. Mark

  19. I've got a profect b on my car Inasnt, i've just posted the dyno graphs in the thread about my powerFC problem that you've been reading. It has the boost on it and as you will see it kept dead on a single boost figure. Mark
  20. I just checked it out a minute ago coming home from gfs place. I tried it in 2nd gear and hit 5115 when the check engine light started to flash, I then backed off straight away. Is this the 1.5v your talking about steve? Mark
  21. The above images are my dyno readouts after the tune. They include high and low boost graphs, AFR and boost on the Y axis. Do they seem reasonable? I was hitting engine checklight probs at about 210hp, Mark
  22. Inasnt, Are you getting your powerFC through Nengun? I got mine a few weeks ago through him and cost me $1600 delivered. I put it in myself and then (as you know) got it tuned last saturday. What do 550cc injectors cost to buy + install? I'm thinking of ruling out other stuff that could be wrong before spending more money. I guess ive spent about $10k sofar since I bought it less than a year ago. What I dont understand is - why would the commander report that the injectors are at 72%. If there is a problem with my injectors wouldnt it read close to 100%? Majanal, I like to do things properly so I might have to get another AFM and injectors after I rule out other possible causes.   23. I've already got the fuel pump so another one is not needed. I've also got Inasnt's old blitz BOV in (at last). I've been too busy to do anything with my car, looks like i'll be busy on the weekend too - gf has an assignment due which i'll be doing. working 6 days + uni assignments = not much time for anything else. Killer: where can i change the idle? my car is idling at about 600, shouldnt it be closer to 8 or 900? maj: nope, i havent cleaned the injectors, but a week ago i bought some of that injector cleaner from a car store (just for the hell of it) and poured it in the tank. Tony: I have a couple of times. I've been to meets/cruises starting at burger king and chatswood. Mark
  24. Inasnt: i've already upgraded the fuel system except for injectors. The injectors are at 72%. I think my AFM is stuffed. sydney: I dont understand 1/2 the tips you gave me but I am going to try them out. I've followed your suggestions sofar (I pm you under the name "nme" on the skylines downunder forum last year and you told me what to get - and i did. Since my gfs scanner is out of action i'm going to take photos of the dyno graphs which may shed some light on my problem. Mark
  25. Thanks for all the replies. I never have the car on boost so I can take my time trying to figure out what is wrong. YRL05S, It isn't pinging, the engine check light flashes 10 times/sec if it notices pinging. The light flashed 2 times per sec which the apexi documentation (stolen from the usa web site as I cant read the japanese manual) states is the injectors are at maximum capacity. As stated before, the commander said my injectors were at 72.3% duty so can I rule out injectors? Sydneykid, Any hints which figures I should be looking at? Tony/2rismo, He knows powerFCs and thinks they are good, but he prefers autronic. got to go, boss is in. Mark
