Mine only does it first thing in the morning. After letting the car warm up, then quick 5 min drive to work and I can here it after that. Only time it does it.... Never after a long run or a thrashing..... never even when it is warming up.... bugs the sh*t outta me!!!! also even the slightest revs and it goes away

I understand that it is against the law to run, but he never pulled you over in the first place.... I thought that you asked him a few q's and that was when he started to write out the fines... I know that QLD transport have the authority to look under the bonnet, but i don't believe that the cops have the same rights.....

We were all just standing around, I was filling up, then about to drive out. Cops rocked up, blocked off all entries and then i was escorted to the defect station by 3 cops bikes and i was told if i did a runner, i'd be issued with a $200 or $250 fine or whatever it was. SURELY THEY SIMPLY CANNOT DO THAT!! That has got to be harrasment!!! They tried a similar thing up here in Cairns and alot of people just drove straight around em(where possible) or simply told the cops to go and get a warrent... there were about 20 or so cars and we just stuck up for each other... As soon as they stuck there heads under ant bonnet, they had like 40 people going Na mate that is Ok etc etc.... They onlt defected 2 cars and they both had bald tyres.... b*stard c0ps!!!!!!!!!

I was going to say the same thing... There is this stuff that porsche owners use and basically all you need is a chamois and a bucket of water Stuff wont ruin paint as it is organic (the guy who was selling it actually licked it to prove that it was non-toxic/organic) its called MAGIC WASH 4 let me know if anyone wants any and I will hit him up. It is a local cairns company, but the stuff does work.... I use it on my car (and it is black) and it comes up just awesome... usually though it takes 2 buckets of water to finish ot properly..... prices are $10 for a litre and $33 for 5 litres.... the guy who owns the company has a 2004 porsche turbo and he only ever uses this to wash his car.. and it always looks great. I get around 14-15 l/p100k's around town if i drive carefully.... If I hammer it, it can be as high as 19!!! Just did a run from Cairns to Cooktown and it averaged 14.5. That was sitting at 130kph-150kph (open roads with no-one on them - just gotta watch for cows and roos) On the way home I sat 110-120kph and I think that has improves it to around 12.... That is in a series II R33 with exhaust and 10psi.......

That is odd.... they asked me all the same q's and I did say that I wasn't in a car club (yet but I will be soon) and I also said thagt I wasn't going to racing it, however I would be showing the car at some stage. I guess it helped that I DID used to own a show car (although it was insured thru NRMA) and I also told them that when asked...... If I were you, I would call back Shannon's and tell them that you gave joined a car club and that you will be taking the car to the odd show. Just don't tell them that you will be racing it (they asked and I said no), only showing the car..... Hope that helps Good luck
