  1. 50D and D90 are def better cameras than the 500D edit: I'm a Nikon man (having a D80 and 4 lenses) but canon might be better for you cos canon lenses are cheaper edit2: D90 had video

  17. should have two screws - one to move it up/down and one for left/right cover the light you are not adjusting and away you go ps the little gears that make it work are small plastic ones so be gentle - they are a little fragile (on my 32's half of them are stripped) edit: meh

  22. like an ND8 filter (which is extremely dark) so you can take 30 second exposures (like of rivers and stuff) in the middle of the day

  24. holy crap he did too - thats crazy talk - you dont need it that small to get a car in focus.. focus problems were probably due to slow shutter speed then!

Yeah instead of using Shutter Priority you could try Aperture Priority and close the shutter to give you more DOF and since its closed more it will give blurry background panning shots (depending on amount of light and ISO) ive never really tried this - I always use shutter priority when panning
