  1. Yep changed the car to fit the engine Have sent Steve-o the pics, you'll have it in no time.....the last one(long shot) gives it away
  2. Hi, I've taken the glove box off, can someone tell me what the 2 holes are here left and right of screen that previous owner has stuffed with tissue paper please? Thanks Mine only flashes fault code 26 once in 5 attempts, otherwise it's 25 (undecover) BUT the first posts say 42 is full cold, mine doesn't do that until 43 when cycling thru ambient button Cheers Simon
  3. Pics of the Ferodo pads! Brand new set fronts and rears These are awesome track pads! DS3000 Paid $450 sell $350 Suit skyline calipers, non Brembo
  4. Yes, that's it. Me too, hopefully its not cracked and just needs decking... I can't wait to get back out there, i've set myself the goal of a 55.xx lap this year, confident the aero mods will help me get there...
  5. Would someone mind checking mine please? BNR32-002109 Thanks
  6. Hi Duncan! S13 currently has the engine out, not sure about to investigate but block may need decking. I thought i had cracked it but now that doesn't seem the case. Will know shortly. I plan to be at Ruziks time attack but i may miss the first one. Still got some things to work out with the GTR. Track the GTR not likely, it may see Lakeside once, if i can't get the Sil80 under the 95dB. But no, it's just a street car, one that's soon to be with lots of torque
  7. Now you're starting to think....but no. Sump is standard depth, much bigger though, 8 litres
  8. Ah, just re-read what i wrote and i can see why you've asked that. I wasn't clear, OLD RB26 had number 1 big end problem. NEW engine is fine just a cop (don't know where"cop" came from in my above post)(wow just previewed my post and whenever the "oink" animal is written it turns to cop) to drive due to the timing. Only about 29 degrees @ cruise What are you guys using for base timing? 15, 20degrees? I've previously said i'd modded the engine mounts to lower the car ~3mm clearance from the cross member Marko That alone won't make the twin turbo pipe clear as you guys already know I didn't think about what i wrote last night, was a bit excited. The car didn't over heat coming up the driveway, the temp did get a little high and when i turned the car off, after a minute or so she was dumping water into the overflow. i checked the temps and the it was 106 on the P,FC. Would like the thank Mick & the boys @ Signature Performance for the install and the stock appearance
  9. Recently i've built and fitted an RB26/30 to my 32GTR. This engine is what came out of that 32. There is a strange history with this engine. Short verison. I'd say it's cracked a piston at some point and been rebuilt in Australia. Its got forged pistons, but standard rods. It also has ACL bearings which are the standard size, which is why i think its been rebuilt in Aus- pics to follow. It supposedly had Tomei poncams fitted by a VERY reputable workshop, but having looked at them and measured them today, i reckon they're standard. That said it was putting out some decent power with N1 turbo's. 333kW It's got Greddy cam gears Had some porting performed on inlet, unsure of ex, but i didn't really look. This engine would still be in my GTR, had it not been for me going around a corner too fast with a very low fuel level. Car coughed a few times, i thought woops fuel is really low, be careful. I was on the way to get fuel at the time and 600meters from the servo:( Anyway....after a few km's later she started to tick intermittently, started to get steady tick and get louder, i turned it off and had it towed to the workshop. turns out, number 1 big-end has had some degradation. The rest are fine, no movement. Crank is fine. Sump has trap doors!! So for sale is the bare engine. Will include inlet plenum, throttle bodies, Greddy cam gears, gates timing belt (changed a few thousand km's ago) idler and tensioner changed at same time as belt, head, cams(whatever they are) The diff has been removed from it's casing. I used the majority of the other bits to complete my 26/30. no injectors. nothing on hot side. So if you want a engine in reasonable nick, add some bearings and rods and you've got a goer.! I have no info on the water or oil pump, so i'd say they're standard. The lot $2000. This is me trying to show the ACL logo and the fact it says standard size- hard to see really bad pic, my finger is holding open one of the traps doors. I also have the N1 turbo's Bought in June 2007 for $2800 i have the receipt I think they're from a 32. These are in decent nick, shaft play normal. Had good response on the 2.6 I'll post pics shortly. $1200 Sard 700cc twin spray injectors bought new in June 2007 for $1300 Currently in the new engine, i'll remove them in a few weeks before its proper tune. I have 830cc to slot in;) $600 The turbo's and the inectors have only done 8000km pics to follow Here's the dyno graph from previous owner http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...tml&st=220#
  10. Only 1 carton? You'll have to do better than that I will say that the cross member is intact, it was not cut and re-welded Shame the pics are small
  11. hmm, the pics are a litte small, I'll make them larger as i know there'll be a few people wanting to figure out how it was done Well for some reason it won't let me post larger pics?? I tried it on preview with the original &l larger but they all turn out the same? oh well, you'll just have too look hard i guess
  12. Ok you two that's enough spamming my build thread Now onto the good news, I BROUGHT HER HOME TODAY!!@!! After a bit over 6 months it really is like driving the car for the first time. I only drove it maybe 6 times before the big end on number 1 had a sad. Yep, pulled the bottom end off the old girl this arvo for a look. in shorts, just number 1 big end had some meat taken out of it, well that sounds a bit dramtic, it had the indications of a little degredation of the bearing. The rest are fine. Crank is fine Old sump even has trap doors - pity that's not on the new engine Anyway for all you doubters and others' that thought it's not possible to have the 3 litre in the engine bay without cutting stuff, here a few pics to show it can be done. I LOVE the fact it looks stock, other than the pods which will be enclosed soon enough. Here's a long shot to show there's now photo trickery Was really nice driving her again, it's a bit stiffer than i remember Has a few minor issues, for some reason the "anit-lock" amber light comes on after around 20 seconds and stays on. Had the hicas light come on after about 20 minutes. So i stopped and checked for obvious things- nothing so started her up and kept going. The ignition off/on seemed to "fix" it and it didn't come on for the remaining 15 minutes home. Timing is terrible. It's the 26 tune, man its retarded, probably a little too much, a real cop to drive, i should take it to my tuner to add some timing as it's a bit of a shit at the moment, car also over heated once i got to the top of my driveway ( it's 800metres long all up hill and a elevation change of ~600m. No I'm not kidding!!) So far she's done around 59km home plus the running in i did on the dyno. Already did a oil/filter change- still on run-in oil. Had a few bits in the filter which we cut open, no too concerning but i'll see how the next one goes in around 500km. Ill swap it over to a semi synthetic then for a few thousand km before going fully sik, i mean synthetic Let the games begin
