Hardest Question Of My Life (vote)
wonkynutz replied to br3tt's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I reckon drift wings on basically stock cars look try hard. Just my opinion though. I'd go the stealth look myself. PS. Allkiller I f#$kin love that GTR concept car in your sig. I want one. -
Twist, what would you estimate to be a reasonable gross load for an R32? I find it difficult to believe it'd be zero. They are a fairly solidly built car.
-
Am going to put a towbar on my GTS4, just for fairly light loads. Can get it done for about $700 I hear.

Attribution Of Quotes Bug?

Can't think why he'd bother manually typing them but I'll ask anyway. Not really worried but thought it was odd. Never had a problem with quotes myself. -

This is the page containing Hungryhippo's original post. It's the twelveth one from the top. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...2631&st=200 As you can see there's something funny going on. -
Attribution Of Quotes Bug?

This is the relevant page. Have a look at the eleventh post from the top. In it I mention reading one of Tragic's links. Two posts down from mine Koyezekan uses two quotes and my words come up as being originally posted by Hippo while his words come up as being originally posted by me. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...2631&st=320 -
Attribution Of Quotes Bug?
wonkynutz replied to wonkynutz's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Ok, he quoted Hungryhippo and I using the standard quote feature. The funny thing is that the note that gives the source, date and time at the top of the quote frame (when it comes up in the final post) was arse about in this case. Hippo's quote came up as being originally posted by me. My quote came up as being originally posted by him. It's a weird one. Haven't seen it before. I'll put up links to make it easier for you to check. -
Well Spectrum's prices aren't any better than Nissan Australia. Bummer. In fact they get some of their seals from Japan anyway so they'd be Nissan ones anyway. Spectrum did say they could do a better price depending on numbers but their standard price is about $325 per seal for R32 coupe. This is for the seal that runs up the A pillar, along the roof and down the B pillar. For some reason the left and right side seals are a few bucks different in price.
-
Have sent email to Spectrum.
-
Cool. I'll get on to them.
-
Ok guys I'm keen on this subject and I reckon a lot of other people will be wanting these seals at a good price. If anyone can suggest some good places to start I'll do the ringing around and see what I can come up with.
-
Don't think so yet. S'pose it might be worth asking Nissan if they'd discount for starters. What about Racespares? Anyone asked them yet?
-
Go with zaffa's suggestion. An RB25 N/A would be perfect for you if you can get one. They still have a fair bit of go. You can even turbo them later if you like.

Shell V-power Fuel - Anyone Tried It?
wonkynutz replied to pixel8r's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've used both V-power and Ultimate. Can't say I noticed any difference but then I wasn't really doing a detailed comparison. Hey emsta, 8k's to the litre isn't real good. Is that in lots of stop/start traffic? -
Throw Out The Garbage Please.

Hey Christian, the bit in question was actually in NSW general on the jokes thread. Wasteland is one of my favourite spots. I don't have a problem with the light moderating of things and none of the other jokes got up my nose. I've got a pretty bent sense of humour generally. I just thought that this particular one didn't even deserve to be classified as a joke. I didn't take offense at Security's posts myself. I actually like my new suggested user name better than the old one. So we're cool with each other. Rukus and Dave? Well, I've been doing things without waiting for their approval all my life. Sl!m and I had a PM exchange which the forum was unaware of. Basically the only reason he got defensive initially was that he was already pissed off about something else so my post caught him at a bad time. He agreed his post should be removed and sorted it. So we don't have a problem with each other. It all ended amicably. Thanks for taking an interest though. PS. White Ribbon Day is coming up. Stand up and be counted and to hell with the dickheads. -
The New World's Fastest Police Car
wonkynutz replied to Mr Gran Turismo's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Well I reckon Zondas are pure horn, apart from the doofus headlights. Change those and they'd be definitely one of the hottest looking cars ever. In fact, they already are. An absolute work of art when you see one in the flesh. -
Is It Possible To Disable A Turbo?
wonkynutz replied to supraaah's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You're nuts mate. If you don't want a functioning turbo don't buy a turbo car. If you do buy one just drive it. That's what they were built for. -
I think you'll find that you could hold them against their will. It's legal to prevent someone committing a criminal offence isn't it?

Mind you I still like the Gallardo cop car the Italians have, but that's just personal preference. -

Thanks for mentioning felching while I'm checking the forum over breakfast. God I love SAU. Not a bad looking wagon that Brabus. Not the flashest looking thing on the road though. Wonder what the top speed would be without the roof lights. They add about 20% to the frontal area and would have to bump the Cd well over 0.4, from a starting point of probably 0.3. That's a rough drag increase of at least 60%, probably more. -
Clark rubber don't have them. Check earlier posts. The bloke there said they had them without making sure first. He was wrong unfortunately.
-
Yeah that crash made the papers down here too. Can't call them "murderers" as that means someone who kills deliberately. Thing is it's just stupidity that causes the problems. They won't let inexperienced idiots drive fast cars beyond their limits, so instead they get a slow car and drive that beyond its limits. Still end up dead either way.
