  1. Thx for the link... Nismo wheel is not the most exciting look out there on the market. Generally momo looks sexier thus the high price and demand. but for a reason (perhaps due to simple and easy to spin during drifting) Nismo and Personal (brand) wheels are popular in Japan.
  2. Coupe only got a sticker.... while 4door sedan gets the badge. Your gold one might be from the 4 door, either that or aftermarket gold one - cos on 4 door I've seen silver badge only not gold.
  3. I thought because it looks like a volvo, it would be "missus friendly"?
  4. ??????????? Pappaduck, you're taking things too seriously.... It's not my thread anyway, it's for everyone... I don't get it why you sound a bit upset?
  5. Don't think we really need it for normal street and circuit driving. However might be needed for hard drifting, not because of engine vibration, but to prevent engine rocking from side to side when throwing your car sideways around a series of tight corners... So if u drift hard, then might worth consider it, otherwise put the money into something else...
  6. u mean this? 5Zigen (Go-Zigen): http://www.takakaira.co.jp/asp/template.as...PQqMnNnikJlhoKj
  7. been lookin around for good prices, seem to me locally all prices are very much similar and expensive as is... (i'm talkin genuine ones, not dodgy copies). even prices from japanese suppliers seem to be up there as well. is Steve Speed Shop prices good compared to others?
  8. next tuesday? i'll try to be there
  9. Guitar... Played in High School & Uni Band with songs ranging from oldies (to entertain the conservative teachers) to Bon Jovi & Metallicas in Uni... Had a Prince electric but left it back home and I think been sold since I have migrated here... Now I only have 2 acoustics instruments: - Ibanez acoustic guitar - Samick acoustic bass (Greg Bennett styled)
  10. There's a way to remove sticker without marks is to clean it afterwards and buff it out, maybe cut and polish will do. Have you had an experienced panel beater have a look at your car? You might be surprised how easy they can spot and point out proof of respray on things that would normally be missed by common people like us... A panel beater showed the proof on mine, I was shocked as I never paid attention on that part until he pointed some little details of previous respray job. However he praised that it is a good quality repair, so it should be ok.
  11. Hmm.. you said: The only way to remove the sticker is by respraying the car?? Why would anyone wanna remove factory badges/stickers? It will only reduce the value of your car no matter for whatever "cool" or "rice" reason you got... When cars are being resprayed, the painter will need to remove any stickers on the panel they're working on. Nobody spray over sticker, it will show up and final result won't be good. Masking the sticker (as some dodgy painter did) will not yield in better result in the long time, as paint will peel or have rough edges around the sticker where they masked it off. Get a new sticker from Nissan, I'm sure they can get you from Japan. Try Blackburn Nissan (see other thread about this)
  12. Yeah.. heaps of accident repaired skylines... Under the old import rule, it is a known practice to import accident damage vehicles from japan at cheap prices, repaired them here before selling. Because the cost of accident repair here is cheaper than in Japan, this is a way to make profit. The new SEVS rule makes it harder for these dodgy skylines to make their way into the country because accident damage vehicles can no longer be imported unless a good quality accident repair has been done in Japan before the car is imported. Although this doesn't mean that imported cars under the new SEVS rule (excluding 15yo cars) do not have accident damage in Japan, however the new rule would reduce such "dodgy" practices that were usually done in the past. The catch is, it is now harder & more expensive to comply imports because the control is very strict in terms of damaged and modified cars.
  13. could have been resprayed by previous owner.... e.g accident repair... thus the missing sticker.
  14. Is this gas type Koni shocks are the same with what the authority called airbag suspension and declared illegal for road use in some states? So far I'm happy with my Whiteline kit, just one nag is on my GTSt the kit doesn't come with easy to adjust rear ones. Not sure how this can changed to be as easy to adjust as the front ones (using provided plastic cap)... maybe welding an adjuster "pole" that can be easily reached by making a small hole over the parcel shelf?
  15. My whiteline kit uses Koni. I was told that they used to use Bilstein but not anymore. If you're getting Whiteline kit lately, it is most likely to be Koni. Bilstein probably gives better ride than Koni but they need to be overhauled every 2 years as I was told, while Koni is maintenance free.
  16. Usually most tracks will have noise restriction around 95db on a drive-by measurement from the side of the track. For V8 or F1 championship it's a different case. To race without noise restriction requires higher level of CAMS/competition license. I can't remember which level.
  17. Really? Man that's been a long time.... I know someone with 180sx is also still waiting for group4 shocks for his car.... been more than 6 months since they announced that new shocks...
  18. r u getting the latest Whiteline's Group4 shocks? Cos these looks like coilovers from the pictures on their website. When I got mine done, the Group4 wasn't available yet, so I got the normal shocks and springs - not coilovers.
  19. What made u assume he's Ford or Holden guy??? He's neither one of them... He's a Renault guy from France. And Renault taking over Nissan doesn't have anything to do with boycotting the GTR in 91 from competing in our V8 rounds. Seems like you have lots of prejudice against Ford & Holden R u gonna flame me if I say I like the new Ford BA Falcon XR6 Turbo...? VL Commodores also had Nissan RB30 engine block in it, so u gotta love them too... peace out.
  20. Maybe it's also due to the change of society as well... I mean these days anything involves driving a hi performance car on the street with loud exhaust or huge air intakes is a bit "politically incorrect"....
  21. Yeah, what a shame... My workmate bought a Daewoo Kalos, now he's worried for the re-sale value after Daewoo Australia's announcement. At least GM Holden is taking over its servicing so Daewoo owner's not left alone in the cold... for the time being... and that Daewoo Cielo is just the nice little hot cars like Swift GT (of the past), or Jazz and Barinas. They won't crack the 1/4 mile record, but they're still great little performers while havin excellent fuel economy... Nissan's new 350z seems to be selling quite well these days, kinda luv the new Maxima too... why dont they bring in the V35 series...? So we dun have to do grey imports on them.... Evo_lee, TT-ing a VQ30DET would be interesting... especially if you can grab hold of the VQ30DETT ECU they used in JGTC... hmmmmmm.... lots of hp
  22. No thank's, my car worths more than that u know Beside as an RB lover yourself, you should be ashamed to value an RB for 15cents only LOL.... you should "praise" it, and "embrace" it, and "value" it like like gold u know BTW been quite an interesting views here over a short period of time.... well, the main point is Nissan not really going under, just ceasing production to our "cult" performance cars to make way for new models... In any way, the moral of the story is Nissan's case is still better than Daewoo going under - IMO
  23. it's all pwr to weight... the light cordia chassis will feel lightning fast if u put any engine over 100-120kw in it. well in a few yrs when u're ready to buy ur own turbo cars, i'm sure SR20 200SX S15 will be nice or RB NEO in R34s... and prices would come down too in the future... Or you can buy my 93 R33 GTS-t but not now... later dude when I'm thru with it.. LOL Unless I decided to *never* sell it and drop a VQ in about 5-10 years from now... LOL C'mon Nissan, build that VQ30DETT as production engine! I want one hehe
  24. well, technology is advancing and these days squeezing 400ps can be done much easier than it used to be, even on N/A engines without increasing capacity to 5L or using 8cyl or slapping a turbo. Looks like 3-3.5L 6-cyl will be more common in a few yrs...
  25. Exactly what I'm afraid of... some new aftermarket parts from certain manufacturers were only made for newer cars like S15/350Z/R34/V35.... I can start feeling R33 is slowly being phased out (except GTR due to high popularity) - better start getting those mod parts now while they're still available, it'll get even harder 5 yrs from now. Or wait till u can get 15yo R33 (if import law doesn't change) with all the goodies already installed (but they'll be very old parts though)
