Where To Get Sedan Mudguards/mudflaps
rs73 replied to RichardT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
exactly the same. go and order some. I replaced mine with US G35 coupe splash guard when I accidentally scrape it. when the replacement came it had USG35 written at the back of it, and guess what when I took off my oem one? same part number. -
on the other hand anyone tried Kumho KU31?
-
LOL ha ha... isn't your car is exactly the same... maybe I just had a more powerful right calf muscle...

if anyone want JDM brochure, I have got a spare from my recent buying frenzy which I doubled up on purchase and now selling... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...9#ht_500wt_1182 the price is asked is reasonable as it would have cost you that much at least to bring it into the country after all yahoo dealer commission and ems shipping.

Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
rs73 replied to siu_loong_bao's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
do you know what's the pricing like? -
I thought Kenda is just as crap, that's why I flog it with the whole set of old rims... I broke traction on Kenda starting from the light with VDC on, can you imagine that...

Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
rs73 replied to siu_loong_bao's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I looked up an old email from Maltech, $435 to be precise. last year May. so you could get USD$200+ shipping which won't be ADR and will void your insurance if they find out about it, or around $400 but you keep within conditions in your insurer's policy, ie. all parts are street legal. -
Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
rs73 replied to siu_loong_bao's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
the last time I asked about braided lines from Maltech they wanted around $400-ish for a set of V35/350z maybe with a group buy it will be much lower. -
anyone had any experience on Bridgestone 050 or 050A in the wet? i'm thinking to go back to OEM spec 225 & 245 - I don't care if they wear out after 20,000km as long as they grip well. the previous "OEM" compliance tyres they put on mine (Kenda brand) was even worse in the wet.

Are you looking at Nankang NS-II ? If so here is my own experience on Nankang NS-II 245 & 275 on my V35: IMHO nankang is only worth it if you don't want to spend $800+ on a pair of other good tyres, especially at those huge sizes they can cost a bit. they're cheap for a start, like I got mine for about $500 a pair. being wide at 275 they give a better grip but it is only average, as I still manage to break traction in it when turning. caught me unguarded as I was under the impression it won't break traction so it was a pretty crap experience. I had dunlop SP3000 on my old R33 turbo with size 235 only and I could belt it in the pouring rain. I don't think I have the same confidence with my Nankang 275 at the rear as I did with the dunlops. it's also noisier than average tyre, especially contributed by the aggressive tread pattern and wider tyre width makes a lot more noise on the road. Wear rate is good. I was told even there are people who has done 50,000km in them and they still looks new. but that just gives away one fact - that its grip are crap. sticky tyre wears out faster, that is general rule. the longer the tyre wear rate is, you can imagine it'll probably only be as sticky as a post it note. Overall, if you're strapped for cash, go for Nankang, but don't expect it will "shine' on the road. If you can afford to spend on a proper good tyres, then spend it and GET A PROPER TYRE - that is my suggestion.

usually either by TNT or AAE, whoever gave RDA the best deal for different locations.
-
it's not. its a dealer option. there's 2 types of Momo option I believe, one is 4 spoke and the other one is 3 spoke. tahts why they have the airbag on.

The V Series Spotted Thread
rs73 replied to funkymonkey's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I spotted you again this morning... didn't catch the badge on your boot, is it 250GT/300GT/350GT? -
couldn't agree more. I had a whiteline kit in my old R33 whichc lowers it by about 1" although the neg camber increase was subtle and it works a treat on the race track, on the road it worn the inside of my front tyres in less than 10000km for street use I recommend keeping the front alignment camber degree as stock as possible, if you want more corner handling, get a front caster rod bush/arm and increase your caster, so when your steering wheel is straight the wheels will be ||-o--o-|| and when you're turning right it's //-o--o-// or \\-o--o-\\ when turning left (this is if viewed from behind). with that setting when turning in addition to body roll/centrifugal shift to one side, your setup on the road will push it towards a more 'neutral' corner ||-o--o--|| during hard cornering and you get more grip.

wait till u put 20in low profile tyres, the bump nag will increase oh, man u got nagging trouble waiting around the corner soon lol I can even tell straight away when going from profile 45 on 18in to profile 35 on 19in that it gets bumpier on stock shocks , let alone from 17 to 20 like what u're planning to do...
