Just to keep in mind, Japan economy was booming in the 80s early 90s with most engines come out of the Nissan factory are believed to be over engineered, that is they're built bullet proof with thicker blocks than necessary... it does take its toll on its company financial though... they could have saved money if they didn't build the engine block as thick, e.g. using less material, etc. When Renault ex-boss takeover, it's all about new/refreshed horizons, design & financial, etc as the company need ways to cost cutting and at the same time refresh its image to get back on its feet... so the new VQ might not be engineered to be as tough as the old engine, as they're mostly NA there was no need for Nissan to build them to withstand force induction (Except VQ25DET). Although they're still good engine, but there's been report in modified 350z/G35 in USA that VQ engine have what they call 'glass' bottom end. So I wouldn't say the new VQ engines are as tough as the old RB and SR engines. All the big numbers out of Japan on modified/turbocharged VQ have their engine rebuilt with Top Secret/Jun parts. But again. even stock, they are still good engine.s treat it well and respect it, it won't crap out on you unexpectedly.

it'll be fine, if u can't live with the thought of 2 cylinders are running 20psi lower than the other 4, get a brand new car is the other choice, even if it means a 4 cylinder Toyota Yaris.

if you read the description they are only installing TV tuner to allow viewing of UK TV Channels. Nothing in the navigation or menus are converted/translated. its exactly the same to what Chris has been doing, adding an Australian compatible TV tuner.

that said, it will only worth it if you spend a lot of time in your car... or for a wag factor more worth it in sedan or anything with back seat and you have additional monitors at the back of headrest or roof mounted. To keep the back seat passenger or kids entertained on long trips. for me I don't see it as only a little addition so kind of "why not?"...

most JDM owner buys \the infiniti one just to swap out the cover, they're only after the infiniti logo. but the module itself need to be jdm with single connector, no idea why infiniti one must have 2 connectors.

and very distractive to watch to while driving, very dangerous too... unless it's just background noise e.g. ABC news in which you can just close down the monitor and just listen to it... but at least my mrs use it once to watch her fav show when we're on the way home so she don't have to miss it.

It won't fit. Infiniti G35 airbag from USA has 2 conectors at the back. JDM V35 Skyline only have 1 connector. Try sourcing one from yahoo auctions. I used these guys they're very professional www.importmonster.com.au just setup an account - top up cash via paypal or credit card, etc. and start bidding instantly good luck!

I went through importmonster.com.au they've got a system that allows pretty much instant bidding, and any overpayment gets refunded into the account, and overall feels and looks very professional and well-administered. I haven't spent anything expensive so far just tiny things. I used Slidewize once before he closed down due to the economic crisis, but he was hard to get in touch with, e.g. only contactable by email once a day in the evening, so bidding thru him u often gets over-bid or miss the auction's ending time. Import Monster is a lot more professional! Even come with proper electronic invoice so they're not a backyard operator... Do you know any other yahoo auction importer/operator?

Came home from work today and look what's in the mail for me (and my mrs).... Got a silver V35 coupe key chain... Car is very small perhaps only about 3.5cm in length... and no it is NOT for sale, sorry guys... got it off yahoo auctions, and haven't been able to find another one yet... Oh... and for the mrs... Chris, forgot to ask you on the phone... but anyhow i think it's easier to write up here... heard about this news on radio about new digital radio broadcasts... 1) Can our current V35 Bose receive digital radio signal? 2) if not, can we receive the digital radio signal through the DVB receiver similar to the one you've installed in mine ?
