  1. i will back you up. people look at the stock boost gauge and this yeah 7psi. the rb20 actuator doesnt open below 10psi. if you look at the gauge closely the gauge isnt measured in PSI. the gauge is in bar. 0.7bar =10.152642psi fin...
  2. does anyone have or know where on is?i am looking for the lower lip off a 32 gtr front bar
  3. it might snap soon. replace it its only 100 genuine from nissan
  4. you can getaway with a un-hacked front bar from a gtst type m front bar. if you are getting the GTR bar i think you will need the reinforcement bar behind it..
  5. man i thought i was dodgy, i have a just jap kit and the piping comes no where near the fans, there is at least 1.5" on space
  6. drill! just drill heaps of little holes and make a circle. then smooth it out with a file or an attachment on the drill. be careful how you drill, you will be pretty close to abs lines, i think they are
  7. hahah im working all weekend and all nex weekend otherwise i guess i could come down to guide you, thats if you trust the founder of Backyard Garage! haha besides, i aint going no where... no license :'(
  8. as requested by pm.... 1st pic: old man looking at my handy work hahaha GOLD JERRY!!!! HAHAHA 2nd pic: dnt mind the rope, it was only there temporarily while i took it for a fang with no frnt bar. (splash gaurd kept dragging on the road because it wasnt secure to anything, with the front bar on its ok!!)
  9. id say its more *if your installing a cooler prepare to encounter these problems* section lol
  10. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=144215 its all in there man.... good luck
  11. how big is it? i have a 600x300x70 cooler on my 32. i had to cut the reinforcement bar. i mounted the cooler as close to the car as possible, i had to drill 2 holes in the top of the reo bar so the screws can go in. to give more rear clearance i forced the horns back.
  12. reallly it isnt that hard, it will just take a while if you dont have the right tools to cut a hole. also trial fitting the front bar to cut where ti touches(take your time on this and do it right)
  13. bel garage is a shit hole. a mate took his 200 there to get a power FC put in nad they fried the computer because they let some apprentice install it. not only that they give shit advice on what mods to do on ur car. fit the front mount yourself, make a day of it. its frustrating and fun at the same time. when you have finished stand back and admire your great work
  14. soemone told me to do the same thing, but to me that looks dodgy as hell! make a bracket and push the cooler piping away from the fans as much as possible
  15. even the pipe for the intake? best solution i think would be to concoct a bracket dude. why is it touching now and not before? have you forgotten to tighten a clamp? put a screw back?
  16. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=144215 i did this on the weekend. i consider myself as a noob. heck its not even my car, its my brothers im just on here becuase im probably more keen on his car then he is. prior to installing the fmic the biggest thing i ever did to a car was remove a inlet manifold on my little pulsar. all in all i think i did a pretty good job. boost gauge and 14psi is next! but yes i agree with you my fingers are looking slightly battered
  17. is it a just jap cooler kit?i just installed one, i thought that would be a problem but after a good thrash the piping hasnt moved. best thing to do would be to make a bracket as far as plenums plazmamann make a plenum kit that relocates the throttle bodyso it is facing the front of the car. its about 800 or something. imo if you are not chasing huge power it is a waste of money. just make a bracket if you dont know what wires to connect to where go to a auto electrician and they will sort it out quickly just a side question. afte installing your cooler are the cooler pipes in the engine hot?
  18. if you buy a kit just do it yourself. in reality it isnt that hard, its basically 2 pipes. and a few bolts to hold the cooler in place. plan an entrie day for it though
  19. just finished installing it. for those looking to buy a just jap kit, believ me they are NOT a direct fit. things i had to cut: -hole under the batery for the intake end of the cooler piping -widen hole for the turbo side of the cooler piping -reinoforcement bar -front bar -no i didnt keep my foggies problems i encountered with the kit: - (turbo side), the pipe from the kit was to short so i had to lengthen the pipe coming off the turbo so it the cooler pipe can reach. (this is why i had to widen the hole on the passenger side. mounting: the kit came with mounting brackets, for the top and bottom, i mounted the cooler to the reo-bar, so i didnt use the brackets that came with the kit. the bottom mounts would not reach the body of the car at all. yes i do have the cooler mounted as close to the car as possible. as for the lower mounts i used these in unison with the top mounting brackets to gain extra length. i mounted them where the bolts are for the plastic gaurds. cooler does not move at all!SOLID! piping: the piping is not perfect and it does not fit on straight on at every join. piping getting hot: due to the inake cooler piping being directly above the piping for the turbo, the pipes get pretty damn hot. i rectified this problem by heat wrapping the pipes. i opted for a Delta fin style of cooler. it sits so well behind the front bar... pics later....
  20. i have a 92 gtst type m i am looking at buying a just jap cooler kit now my questions: 1. Cutting. how much cutting will be required to fit the kit? what do i need to cut? 2. what is the difference between the cooling pro type 1 and type 2 kits? as far as i can see its the pipping. dimensions and cooler design are similar. 3. i have factory fitted spotties, can i keep these? lastly, does anyone have picture of a just jap cooler on their car?
