Which Would Be The Best Car Value For My 12,000
adamskill replied to dannk's topic in General Automotive Discussion
without a doubt the liberty. its a no-brainer. -
CONRAD- thanks for your imput mate, it is appreciated, but like i have said before, its not a "what is the better car" discussion. granted, this is an open forum and you are entitled to your say, but the car is for my missus. she drives it to work, to the gym, and supermarket (to buy things to make my sammich), and a general a to b car. i have absolutely no need to spend extra coin and buy her a evo. i KNOW evo's are great cars. i owned a 6.5 before my skyline. she likes wrx's, i quite like wrx's, and subarus in general, thats why we have decided to try and find a nice clean example under $10k. WARPS- thanks mate, almost my thoughts exactly. my parents have been suby fans for a long time too. i am aware that alot of wrx have had a hard life, but because of the amount of them on the market owned by a very varied demographic, i know there are examples out there that are still in very good nick, and unmolested for the 10k mark.

34 Gt-T Order Of Mods?
adamskill replied to kawasakirider's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
every single question you have asked can be answered using the search function. try it. just out of curiosity, what is this apprenticeship you are starting that pays "a shitload"? -
cool story bro

thanks for the imput guys! perhaps i didnt make myself clear enough in my first post tho, my bad, but alot of you seemed to miss the point completley. its not an "evo vs sti" debate, the car is for my missus, as a daily driver. its a 4 door, and safer in the wet than a rwd car, nice breaks and suspension in stock trim, insurance premiums arent too bad, plus you can pick up a relatively clean 96-00 model wrx for under 10k. there is no way you can get an evo in the same condition for sub $10k.

hey lads, im thinking of buying a wrx for the mrs as a daily.. and maybe a nice little base to throw a few bolt-ons at. somthing along the lines of this... http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?trecs=98&tsrc=allcarhome&__Ntk=CarAll&Cr=3&__Ntt=wrx%20sti&R=10482801&seot=1&silo=1011&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=wrx%20sti&__D=wrx%20sti&__sid=126B56258AC6&__N=1216%201247%201252%201282%204294963801%204294963800%20410&PriceTo=410&__Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&__Qpb=1&__Nne=15&__Dx=mode%20matchany my question is has anyone had any experience or owned a high km wrx? i know there is an inherent gearbox issue with high km models. any other problems, other than the usual problems associated with 12-15 year old cars?? also thoughts?? i was thinking of a 32 4 door as another option, as the mrs loved my old 32, but im keen for a bit of a change.. cheers lads adam

i have gone from 110kg to 88kg. a regular day for me is breaky- 2 tbsp oat bran and low fat yoghurt, and some tinned fish, usually mackerel snack - a few pieces of lean ham lunch- chicken breast or thigh, grilled, pan fried, streamed, braised, how ever u want to cook it, bearing in mind u can only use little to no oil. snack- more chicken, or some fish, either tinned or grilled, or some lean ham dinner- chicken, the sphincter of the universe or fish omelette, maybe some cottage cheese with a little bit of nandos sauce or sweet chilli sauce the best thing about this method, is that you can eat as much as you want. when ever you want. mother f**ker hungry at midnight...EAT! you just have to make sure you are eating ENOUGH food to get obtain the right amount of calories per day (i aim for around 1,500 cals) this pure protein stage only lasts 5 or so days, then you alternate day to day with veg and salad + pure protein.

dude im exactly the same body type. before i started on the dukan method i used to train hard as hell at the gym 4-6 days a week, eat a pretty balanced diet, and use kelp tabs, CLA, and a guarana supplement. it all worked ok, but my weight loss plateaued where i was not very happy with it. after trying a few different things, my mum-in-law got me on to the dukan method, (wich she had MASSIVE success with) and i started from there. i mite also add that i stopped goin to the gym as much, but i have still stayed quite active. i have achieved the exact results i was after. the "diet" revolves around protein intake in 4 steps.. 1) 5-7 days of eating only protien. no carbs at all. no fat. no veg. i lost 4 kg in the first 5 days, mostly getting rid of water that is retained in the body. 2) adding certian veg to your all protien diet until you reach your desired weight. this could take anywhere from 10-100 days, depending on you and your body. 3) adding more variety to your diet, and adding a "reward day" once a week. the length of time on this stage depends on how many days you were on stage 2 for 4) eating basically what ever you want for the rest of your life, as long as you have 1 day a week, every week of eating protein only, as per stage 1 all in all its taken me 3 months to reach the stage im at now (3). im happy with the results, and as a skeptic to most diets, this honnestly works, and is easy to adhere to cheers adam

eps i promise this is a good thing. i have used this diet and i went from around 110kg and i now sit at a very happy 88kg. it VERY easy to follow, and is broken up into 4 phases. i cant recommend it highly enough.. http://www.dukandiet.co.uk/en/336-dukan-coaching/the-dukan-method.html?gclid=CP6Qu4-D2agCFcJP4QodeW54_Q

What If I Just Dont Get Anything?
adamskill replied to Jonno34's topic in General Automotive Discussion
if you come across anything you dont know..... GOOGLE IT!! the internet is full of every piece of info you could ever hope for!! also as alot have said...READ. if you are unsure on how, say, an intercooler works, search the forced induction section and read!! trust me, if you make an effort to learn something in particular, you will remember it. good luck. safe driving!
