  1. its epic. it also makes me depressed thinking about the rich f**k wits who will be able to afford one, but definitely dont deserve to own a car this special.
  2. buy a toyota starlet GT - $5000, throw another $5000 into engine, susp, and decent wheels/tires, and go to the track and lap all the boys in their gtr's. the little gt starlets go hard mate, and anyone who doubts this has spent NO time at a track with a decent lil starlet gt getting around.
  3. i couldn't DISAGREE any more if i tried. quiet an odd opinion to have on a skyline enthusiasts forum, if i may say.
  4. for the money you will spend on a golf, especially in oz, there are far better options out there, in my opinion. golf's are like a disease over here in england, and i have driven quite a few, and honestly not a very special car at all. 2 positives i will point out are that the diesel models have really good fuel consumption (but sound like a tradies ute) ,and the German build quality is pretty sound (although some would argue that because of the gross mass production of golfs in recent years, build quality has slipped quite a bit..) hope this helps.
  5. i imagine it would be, but slightly unrealistic on a 100% stock street car. cheers mate.
  6. do they react well to simple engine and suspension mods?
  7. hey lads, wondering if any can help.. i have never owned an auto car, and i have always wondered how you do a burn out in an auto. whats the procedure? reason being i mite be getting my hands on a 2jz aristo, and im keen for a few 1/4 mile runs.
  8. its a 25 year old car, what does this jerk expect?? next time he calls tell him to pull his f**kin head in, and go to a mechanic. i know i would feel guilty in this situation, like you have done something wrong, but you haven't so sit tight mate. i bought a swift gti many moons ago and the gear box f**ked out on me after about 6 weeks, i emailed the guy that sold it to me, and although he was sorry for my situation, he didnt have to/wasnt going to do anything about it. i had to cop it sweet and get it fixed. its just life. everyone knows that cars are very expensive things to own.
  9. oh no! i was thinking about getting an aristo as our 2nd car, and i like to play around with the engine my self, so im slightly put off by this. other than the cramped, awkward engine bay, is it a good car?
  10. i cant believe this isnt in the wasteland yet...
  11. how about some engine bay pics please?
  12. save your self a lot of trouble and head aches and go to mercury. they are by far the best in town.
  13. soo glad you didnt go red or blue, cos that is f**ked up. white looks the goods.
  14. Buy a Honda Jazz kid. if you think an r32 is a "glorified Camry" than maybe skylines aren't really your cup of tea. as a P plater there are plenty of other cars out there that are cheaper, more fuel efficient, and easier and cheaper to insure, and will be better equipped for you to get to-and-from scout practice. are school holidays over yet?
  15. my R32 was imported with genuine rays LM-GT1 rims, from the 400R R33 Gt-R. rare as hens teeth.
  16. mate my advice is just use common sense. you have to remember that although we are all skyline enthusiasts, they are still a 15-20 year old jap sports car, not a nasa rocket. just dont be a wanker, warm it up before you drive, always service it when due, dont drive it like you stole it, and let it cool down a bit before you turn it off. ive owned skylines for the last 9 years and although they are a good car, youy dont need to baby them too much. just treat it with respect, like you would any car.
  17. im a professional chef by trade. i have worked all over the world and worked with some of the best chefs in the world. its a VERY tough job, and i look forward to my day off because my biggest passion in the world is cars. ever since i was a wee lad i have loved cars. i also loved to cook, and decided to make a career out of it. it never crossed my mind to work in the auto industry because playing with cars was always somthing i did in my spare time, and to relax. im now to the point in my chefing career where im thinking of starting again with a different trade, probably the building industry. and once again i find that starting in the auto industry isn't on my list again either. this isnt much in the way of 'advice', but it is my experience. i believe that keeping a hobby just a hobby is the best idea, because it works for me. everyone is different. also blink 182 are for eleventeen year old girls.
  18. f**k. that is just insane. absolute one of a kind. he states at the start of the build that he had no interest in cars at all, and they were just a mode of transport to get from A to B. makes you wonder why someone would go to such extreme lengths, when clearly stated that they aren't an enthusiast at all. more money than sense? i think yes. im very glad he has done it tho, just the fact that someone has put such an obscene amount of money into a 90's jap import, and that a workshop has been professional enough to make it happen, just shows how far the import scene has come.
  19. yeah the swift does come in awd, i had one, they call them suzuki 'cultus'. great little car. it would chop almost any car up to about 120km
  20. hahaha a picture says a thousand words..
  21. im not into this at all.
  22. la bomb, you just dont get it do ya mate? i understand that you being life impaired is a disease. just like your kebab shop.
  23. are you serious? "my friend hit the gutter, whats wrong with his car?" ive got a better question, "how long is a piece of string?" mate at least post some pics or somthing..
