  1. Thanks gais... yeah it was pretty unexpected. It's more and more fun the more I push it. Did definitely think of the GTR. And it pains me that I did not go with a Skyline, but really the idea of this car spurred from a day not so long ago when I was driving down to the Peninsula in the Ute and though "This is a bucket of shit. What I would like to be driving is something similar to a Lotus Elise" And shazam: SLK. There were many pros and cons to compare but I think the main factor that has stood out since driving the SLK is the comfort when you're treating the drive as a daily. If you ask it for some beans it delivers and feels soooo good but other than that it is the most comfortable snuggley car on the road. I find that Jap cars are incredible but in particular the Skyline drives heaps better when you're going fast, which is awesome but I like to have my cake and eat it too. Particularly over speed bumps. Don't despair though... At this rate I should be picking up my R35 GTR in, hmmm, 3 months? End of review.
  2. Naice bike! Swap that exhaust for an Akrapovic F/S though, trust me As for my latest: Um, whoops... '05 SLK350, Manual, 35,000km. Don't ask me why, because there is not one single reason that I can think of... That photo was from the previous owner... this one is from tonight, picking up AMG rims when I head to the US in July:
  3. Oo la la, am down for this June already!!!?!
  4. Urgh. So incredibly bored and still 2 hours left to go
  5. I knoooow... and I half agree, but then I think of cruising down to the Island in the GTR for a track day on the Blade and just how glorious life would be!! I would take the best care possible of the car and make sure the tow bar set up is quality.
  6. I intend to eventually get an R34 GTR.. but I would either need to keep the ute, orrrrrr put a tow bar on the 34 and trailer the bike. This may be considered either a) awesome or b) murder to the GTR. I wouldn't be worried about the fuel consumption as I would be loving every minute of it but would be a little paranoid about stressing the chassis. Although one road bike and trailer isn't that heavy so I would think it would have little impact on the car. What do you guys think? Obviously a properly contructes custom tow bar would be made. I would luuuurv to be able to rock around with my two pride and joys in my grips. Mmmmm
  7. Some may and some may not. You'd need to read the PDS for exact details. I know that CGU, who I work for, covers unlimited cancellations on some and up to $12k on your luggage documents, whether they are damaged or stolen. There's heaps of other stuff included as well.
  8. Yeah that's all availble in travel insurance. Medical is a biggy.
  9. If you're talking about covering your own car, that should be covered Australia wide by the motor vehicle policy. If you're talking about covering a hire car, then travel policies can have a hire car excess waiver to cover some or all of the excess if you have a crash. Yep! Takes a couple of minutes to download and it's soooo much better than the OST. I don't consider, I know And insurance isn't that bad!!! It only is if you don't use it, but that's the nature of it
  10. Listening to the Tron Legacy Reconfigured soundtrack at the moment. So. Effing. GOOD! Daft Punk
  11. pm fo sho, let me know what you're most concerned about (eg, medical, personal items etc)
  12. Ok, let me just pull the portable quoting system out of my arse. No really, hit me. I'll need: Departure & return date, location/s, dob/s (can have 2 peeps max + children), and any pre-existing medical conditions.
  13. Um... me again
  14. My name's not Alex but I sell Landlord Insurance daily. Firstly, what do you actually want to be covered for? Premiums obviously rise as the cover becomes greater and could also be because the company may pay out more claims. So the cheaper quote would either only cover you for basics or they don't pay many claims and can afford to lower the premium. Good for premium, bad if you ever need to claim.
  15. Yeah... trust me you aren't missing anything knowing facts like that... or the definition of fruit for that matter. I. Am. A. Loner.
  16. Were you learning English in this 15 years? Like how cucumber, tomatos, and pumpkins are all fruit.
  17. Y is a vowel and a consonant. FYI: Blah blah blah blah blah...
  18. They all have 'Y' so that doesn't count
  19. I don't sleep talk or walk anymore... but I do live near the Glen Waverley train line and every time a train goes past its horn goes off, often planting a cop car or an ambo in my dream and the rest of my sleep I'm running from sirens.
  20. My new ride I picked up yesterday. Sooo in love, soooo much carbon This one will not get stolen like the last one... it will be insured

Spotted [GDZLLA](I think) black r33 GTR yesterday in Eltham.
  22. Urgh the road noise I have is horrible!!! Stupid P plate bogans putting some crap called 'Triangle' tyres on a new car >.< Literally you need to raise your voice while you're driving. Need to do more burn outs and chuck some Michelins on them!
  23. Mmmm tuna. I like the Coles brand seeded mustard, japanese style and spanish style for 90c. Perfect serving size as well. Nom nom nom. Can't beat fresh sashimi though <3
  24. That's so shit. Too often those kinds of idiots end up killing someone or at least scar them for life. Glad you got him. Friday night 3 am I was driving home from the city on Alexandra Avenue when I see a cop do a u-turn and come after me. Pulled me over and walks up to my window. Requests a license and breath test. Do the test and hand over my license, he asks when I had my last drink and heads back to the car. While he's there I start getting paranoid.. I wasn't drunk but did have 2 drinks that night. I end up checking my phone and gather that it was 2 over 3 hours, but then I start worrying they might have over done the vodka in my vodka soda. Then I'm not even sure if a normal shot would be a single standard drink which is making me even more paranoid. This short couple of minutes ends up feeling like eons with my future flashing before my eyes(for some reason my imagination took it too far and I ended up being in jail for life >.>) The cops drive up and hand my license back through the window. I had completely forgotten that this would have been the license check they were busy doing, not writing me a ticket. I asked what my reading was and they said 0.011 lol. I'm never drinking at all ever again when I drive. My heart rate was through the roof the whole way home! Not worth the stress.
  25. I'll bring it for you next time... you can ride shot gun
