And just watched your vid Simon, awesome! I like the pretty colours of the weights, reminds me of that candy that came in bracelets and necklaces that you could eat. Nom!

Did a test today, didn't want to push it as I'm still adjusting my form so would rather someone there to make sure I don't f**k anything. Got 20 out @ 65kg with gloves. May have taked a little long in between reps, was max 2 seconds I think. Could have definitely done more but as the above states, would rather not push it. Will try proper without gloves next week, and maybe not at the end of a workout. As I was leaving the gym one of the girls working there started chatting saying how impressed she was with my lifting, did I compete blah blah blah. Then she says 'you were lifting, like, 40kg!'. Me: -_-Uu obviously looking at the plates only. And I didn't understand the awe 65 seems baby to me especially since I'm only a month in

lol, don't patronise

Can tell if being a smart arse or just letting the rest know >.>

Also, finally became a member of a gym today... Was a big step for me, only did 3 months because I hate contracts but can't afford outright currently. Am now signed up to Genesis with a multi gym membership. One close to work, one close to home (city), one close to uni and one close to friends. Works pretty well for now! Where do the melb guys go and what do you like/dislike about your gym?
-
Nice one Troy that's rad. Everyone's form goes a little cactus when you're pushing it, naturally. But pain might be a worry! Will do a test run tomorrow @ body weight 65kg then proper on tuesday when I have a camera man
-
That's probably where we got it in the first place. Chances are everyone in the gym has been exposed.

Barbs? Is that you?? Every new user is now Barbs.

Sounds like fun! I don't really care about the winning part. Any challenge can be applied against yourself. Hard choice on the percentage vs standard weight because.... Well I have put on weight since I started gym and most of it is fat weight. Anyway! I'm cool without gloves but is chalky chalk ok?

Lol, I have this guy who works in a warehouse for the recruitment agency I work for. He is a PT and constantly is taking time off for broken toes and spraining his wrist from lifting boxes wrong. Lifting wrong! Do you even lift PT-brah?
-
Yeah, I had multiple times over the first month of gym where I was almost having a cold and constantly woke up with swollen glands that carried on for half the day. Just pressed through it and it eventually went away, was considering taking a break. If I can get to the gym I'll go, then monitor from the exercise how I feel.

Was gooood. Noobie gains are fun now at 110lbs on lat pull down

...>.> I just posted that URL... And was asking time not website. No matter! Compare notes next week! -
No espresso machine at work and I prefer making my coffee myself if not I go free instant. Plus I don't need the kick of a real coffee yet, would rather an instant then another halfway through the day if necessary. Could maybe go for a walk but I like my free time and it's only a 30 min break.

Me too! What time? Mines at 4.30 -
I got a growth thing on my arm! Well not really growth. Birds and I figured from google it's either a ganglion cyst or some type of thing that means benign tumor. It appeared in the last exercise last night. A lump on my forearm. It went down about 30 minutes after exercise but feels like the area is bruised now. Typical that after only 6 weeks of exercise I get some hideous growth! And I already have a ganglion cyst in my wrist -_- Anyway last night was awesome, dead lifts and squats were amazing their form was sooo much better and sure than before. Got 10 reps out of DL and squats 9 reps in the max sets which at that standard of form was a huge boost for me. 10x2 unless otherwise stated 15/1 Genesis Wantirna Military Press 10Kg 15 20 25 3.5x1 Seated Row 50lbs 70 100 LPD behind neck 40lbs 60 10x1 70 10x1 90 10x1 100 10x1 Cable row decline press 33lbs 55 10x4 Squats 20kg 10x1 30 10x1 47.5 9x1 DL 30kg 10x1 50 10x1 70 10x1 Bicep bar curl 10kg 10x3 12.5 10x3

Wow massive thread revival. 'Captain Natro' has probably completely changed his workout... friggen October? I would much rather take advice from someone who has been training for years and has a good body rather that a 'qualified' trainer (aka some quick certificate from an Institute of Fitness that I could complete myself and still not understand how best to work out) Most trainers I see have pathetic images of fitness and look like they've just left highschool. Most of the guys I know who are fit and experienced are either doing professional sports or a job that pays far more than a PT job ever would. Btw this is general, just what I've seen and it's all seen at commercial chain gyms not powerlifting places or cross fits etc.

It has made a massive difference but I still think its a huge adjustment to doing heavy work outs 4 times a week when I have come from pretty much nothing. Have always needed more sleep than most so when interruptions come along like a few late nights/early starts plus long commutes it can take it's toll. Plus my levels can fluctuate, especially testosterone. Don't get me wrong, I'm five billion times better than I used to be but not as good as I need to be while making a living. This is what I was thinking. Just need to cut out the 'need' so that I can control my intake to more healthy foods. Today I pret much consumed 1/3 of a big bag of trail mix by lunch time. Too much and not really the foods I need. I agree on the bored thing, never want to come home with a nothing to do evening. Lucky most days there's gym! I only really need one cup atm and only instant which is pretty weak but I still hate depending on things. Suppose it's the price of being in control with tiredness. I can always go on and off but feel as though if I'm on an off day and I'm feeling cranky I'll just assume its from no coffee so I'll drink one when it may not have been the problem. Would love to go for little walks around the block, even just 5 minutes to shake my muscles up... Although I'm in stilettos at work -_- boss would probably be cool with it though if I brought sneakers. Might test it out for a week on the days I feel I need it and see if it makes a big enough difference to my quality of eating. Like you say a couple of cups a day is ok, there's no real evidence that a small amount of caffeine is detrimental to your health so I think it's worth it. Thanks gais!

If we don't wear bras to begin with you will definitely be dissapointed
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA you'refunny. CFS
-
Really? Lifting the boobs up? Wow... because you know I thought bras were there just to cover skin... not to support or anything. Amazing!
-
Agreed, that's an awesome transformation. I would be interesting in how she did it... just food? food+exercise? She looks like a completely different person... and seems to have kept most of her boobs. Jelly.
