The reason to take cars to a bike cruise is because: We are Skyline owners and only a minority of us are bike riders! It will be more fun with more people and if anyone who doesn't ride want's to drive along they can get a look at what bikes are all about. The reason why we are discussing bikes vs cars: BECAUSE IT'S FUN. Jeez it's not as if we're really going to have a challange, talking specs and physics is why I like both sports so much You don't have to be so grumpy about it

I'd like to test your theory on bikes vs cars... The way I see it the bikes can brake far later and accelerate much quicker since they are lighter and have the power to weight ratio advantage. So even if you go through the corner slower on a bike they still are slow for a shorter amount of time. And we all know that in a tight corner the speed through it doesn't make a big difference compared to a wide corner that can make you seconds of time compared to milliseconds. Maybe you should come in a car Birds and we can test it out (in a friendly way) I am geniunely interested

lol... my Hyosung 250 kicked arse off the line over a worked R33 GTS-T... bikes usually win, for an explainable reason. Although there are a few slow riders out there *dangerous*. We can show you on the cruise I'm up for it, will get the boy along too if he's keen.

hrmmmm, tough call indeed... I might have to have a brainstorm about some mates who would fit the bill... might come at a small fee is all since you don't know them, but would make a difference.

I'm 21 man... $700. Seriously there will be someone out there who is at least older than you and can make your premium go down even just a little. Way better to spend the time looking for them and get a cheaper comp than a standard 3rd party. To the best of my knowledge it makes no difference to the older 'rider' on you policy if you claim under your name or not which means you might just be able to get someone at a ride to be on it. Most insurance companies don't do 3rd party only because of the rep bikes have.

James, I had insurance with Swann, it ended up being around $700 for full comp, cheap because I put a 35 yo as 90% rider and me as 10% (it works). I recommend going with them as they have always been good, I used to work for CGU as well who are parent company to them and all that I saw was good results GET COMPREHENSIVE. Seriously man, it's not like a car. I only got 3rd party fire and theft on my car because it has four wheels (and many other calculations that I can explain in detail later)... but the bike /needs/ comprehensive. The moment it hits the ground you're up for at least $500 to get it perfect again. And the likeliness that this will happen is far higher than a car. DO IT. Please please please. Go to www.swanninsurance.com and get a quote, put in someone you know with a license who is older as 90% rider and see how it goes. Will set up a meet on the bikes so me thinks... will have to get a sunny day and go for a cruise
