  1. I suspect the fuel pumps start straight up off the key. Will have to do some investigating on fixing it
  2. What fuses should I look for? Since its an engine converted car the stuff is in different places and probably unmarked. I get fuel pressure at the guage near the fuel rail so fuel pumps are going I believe. Dunno bout injectors. Setting he timing is going to be shit I rekn. Apparently aftermarket ecus don't set the timing off the Induction loop thing? And I don't know what they have set it too. Or will it just be tdc in regards to setting cas timing?
  3. I'm not sure bout fuel. The set of spark plugs I took out that I had cranked for bout 5-10 minutes were dry but I didn't pull them for about a hour after I stopped trying to start the car.
  4. Yea so I have no spark I believe. It started straight up like normal then stalled from not being warmed up now won't restart. Does that sound like how an igniter box would fail?
  5. hi mates have a problem with my rb20 hilux that started this afternoon. I started it up and reversed out my driveway. car died when I put the clutch in to go from reverse to neutral (does this a lot when cold. usually restarts straight away. CAR HAS HALTECH E11v2 so prob cold start tune). today it didn't restart. cranked for ages trying to get it going but wouldn't go and battery got too flat. I changed the spark plugs now so I know there good. mainly what I want to know is how do I make a thing ive heard of before where you connect a spark plug lead to the coil pack then put spark plug into that like a common spark plug setup so I can look for spark to rule out spark issue. im not sure how to connect it onto the coil thanks for now mates
  6. The guy who tuned this one did another one that's posted in dyno thread and made 380rwhp on 19 psi. The sheet is gone tho coz its old so can't compare
  7. It's got 3 inch exhaust with some small cannon muffler on the end of it. There's at least a cat frame in it. Surge tank. 044. Ecu. Injectors. Think 100mm intercooler with 3 inch pipe both sides and a plenum that we all love for bit if extra lag apparently. What did the plasma man plenum cost you in lag Roy mate? Think wastegate is some blue china thing. Thought it was turbo smart originally but put camera down there and took photo and had no brand on it from what I could see
  8. id be real happy with 400rwhp 5500 full boost.
  9. its sorta like the last 6 psi is boost creep but if it holds 12 it should hold higher shouldn't it? less gas to waste or something?
  10. its in a 2wd hilux ute so its pretty beefy. had a mate watching the gauges this afternoon. said it hit 15 psi about 120kmh in 3rd. dunno but. he said he hasn't seen it go over 15 psi which is possible going off dyno sheet as the last psi's come real slowly and run out of road before can get there. see max revs in 2nd but prob not enuff load to get full boost with the way it is. whatever is possibly wrong or not wrong. or maybe the boost has been turned down since dyno on one setting of the boost switch will check it myself at drags Wednesday if its on

  12. Tru. Well if that's the best I'm gunna get without major changes il just leave it. Reasonably happy with it.
  13. Yea I did consider it could be boost creep but I thought that if it could hold the 12 psi setting fairly well it should be able to control 21 psi. If I put a spring closer to 21 psi in the wastegate could that make it better? Could probably assume the current spring is below 12 psi

  15. So are you saying that the boost curve is correct? Full boost at 7500 rpm. Mainly just looking for the answers to what I asked
  16. Yea I've seen a lot of dyno sheets on there. I believe it should be as I suggested and reach full boost at a certain point in the 5000rpm range and hold it but want to confirm something may be up with mine and if something isn't right suggest what is causing it.
  17. Hey mates I'm just looking at the dyno sheet I got with this beast. I'm wondering about the boost curve. Does it show that it doesn't make full boost until 7500 rpm? I would expect it to make that at worst case 5700rpm then the line to stay flat till max rpm. It's a gt35 .82 rear on a rb20. Garrett turbo. China stainless manifold. 38mm wastegate screamer pipe. Boost controller is a turbo smart dual stage manual one. No idea what spring is in wastegate Looking for some ideas on if that's how it shud be or if something's goin on with setup. I understand its not the ideal size turbo but that's what's on it. Il live with it Thanks mates
  18. hi mates. my car is running real crap after I just got it out after a few months. it starts up and idles but wont rev properly and wont get up my driveway. I put some new fuel in it and new fuel filter. it has done it before after sitting for abit but it came good about 100m up the road. this time it not going to. wondering what might be going on. thanks mates

  20. Hi mates I've got 2 beasts witj same setup on same motors. Can I somehow copy the tune from the e11 and put it in the platinum? Or is it a different type of program or something? If I can't do that can I maybe copy it box for box off the one that's tuned? Again maybe the tune is displayed differently?
