  1. Love it. Very interesting idea for a project. Good to see its working as hoped.
  2. Progress shot of the weekends work. Lol, Can't even count the number of hours left in this job. At least its made the Skyline fun again. Its funny how the fun stops when the build stops. Cheers. Luke
  3. Final progress shot after the first weekend of deciding to go all out with the bodywork. Happy with progress so far. Still a few design questions to ask myself but they will figure themselves out as I go. At least the basic shape is starting to show Cheers. Luke
  4. My main character is a lvl 20 Assassin. Nothing fancy with the equipment yet. Just a (superior)Dwarfen Dagger, and Shrouded armour. Sneak is up around 70 and with the sneak perks (dagger sneak damage), dont need anything flash at this stage.

  6. Well. I have decided to go a bit more out there and modify the lot to make it my "Personal" bodykit. A couple of hours into the foam moulding process and this is where I am so far. The photo from the front and rear views gives a fairly good idea of the width im after. Many many more hours of work left in just getting this side right before tryin to match the drivers side. The goal is to be ready for the Nurmurkah show and shine at the end of November/start December. Although the biggest challenge will be finances for paint and new rims. Even though I will be trying to sell 2 and a half sets of rims and tyres to help fund it.
  7. Lol. My father just came over and saw it out in the driveway. Besides the usual lecture on wasting money, he asked. "What are you going to do with the door to fill in the gap between the fender and the door?" The look of shock when I said that I want the gap as it helps show the extra width.
  8. Very tidy Kaino. Looks good.
  9. The front fenders are now secured and driveable. The drivers side needs to be adjusted out a tad as it JUST comes into contact with the door (still opens all the way though). Passenger side was a treat. Very happy with the quality of parts (VIVA garage) as I expected a lot more modification to make them fit. The rears are still just duct taped on. But I want to get the fronts perfect first as they can always be removed whereas the rears will be do or die. I can always drive around with wide fronts and narrow rears whilst I build up some courage and the money for a respray. (considering its 1 of 4 cars I have , would someone just buy my Statesman already. lol )
  10. No. When U pop the 33's fuel cap. It hinges on the inside and the flap never actually moves outside of the actual square shape.
  11. From Viva Garage. Ive heard mixed opinions so I bought expecting to modify fairly heavily but you know what. It is actually going together quite well. Cut about 1 cm of a hidden part of fibreglass off to clear the headlight, Thats about all and its gonna fit like a glove with minimal gaps. May need a very minor trim to clear the door. But its very close. Only question being with the rears. Do I leave it with just the lower portion widened. Or do I pack it right out and completely round off the rear quarters. My mind is halfway between both options.
  12. Lol. It is now a work in progress again. All in the name of getting more tyre.
  13. Few new photos taken today. Lot of work to do to make it all blend perfectly. Then off for a respray. Thinking a much darker silver. Still trying to work out whether to modify the front fenders to square them off a bit, then really bulk up the rears. That was the plan but I think just by mocking it up as it is now. I quite like it. The real goal of the fenders is to get rid of the 8.5 wide rims and put 9's on the front and 9.5 on the rear.
  14. Haha Who would have thought. Fiona (my wife) with NOOOO interest in cars, after coming today to watch (first race event ever) has just asked me to buy her a helmet so she can passenger next time. That could be the strangest thing i've ever heard considering the day she got her licence (about 15 years ago) was the last time she ever drove.
  15. yeah it would be. I didn't end up meeting anyone at all today. lol. i'm such a snob
  16. My bad, I was hoping to meet a few people. Last minute decision, my wife decided she wanted to come see what the fuss is about. (after telling me for the last month that she is not in the slightest interested). So I spent most of the day in the spectators seats keeping her ammused. In all the shock of having Fiona there I even competely forgot about changing my tyre pressures or any other setup changes for the entire day. I only ended up doing 3 runs. 1 on the stock 16's and 2 passes on the MT's. Was very disapointed when they wouldn't let us do a passenger run. (I guess it was to do with the cue times??). Luke
  17. That was soo busy out there today. felt like 30 minute cues. My best for the day was 13.24 at 112mph. Bit disapointed but couldn't get off the line. Once I got into 3rd the new turbo felt spot on. 60 foot time was 2.25. (on MT's) Was a good day though.
  18. Awesome. We don't have anything crazy coming from Bendigo that i'm aware of. I'm still the only import in the group. LMAO at the fact I've talked one of my mates into racing my stock statesman V6 down the quarter. (Only so I can have my 2nd car there to carry all my stuff) Just hoping that the weather holds off. Should be clearing mid week to give a few days to dry out. Heres hoping. Think i've pretty much got everything prepared for the Skyline that I had planned. And hey. The Clio should be a good match for my Statesman. I dont expect it to do anything better then 16's. Luke
  19. Hey that sounds great guys. I always think the same. Lack of Imports at Heathcote. Only one way to fix that. We'll take it over that day. And as for Car requirements. Your car must be Safe. i,e seats bolted down properly etc, they will check for overflow bottles on Radiators. Have all the main safety features that ur required to have on the street and u'll be fine. No licences required, no cages, extinguisers etc unless your running something very quick (10.99 or better I believe without looking it up) And wear long sleeve clothing and have a ADR approved Helmet (I just use a basic motorbike Helmet) Cheers. Luke
  20. If your coming from Melb its a long way to spectate. That being said the line has never been crazy wheneva I've been there so there is the potential to fit a very high number of passes if you just want to do run after run without really thinking about what your doing.
  21. I bought my GTR style spoiler through JustJap. Everything was pretty straight forward. All the holes lined up. The only thing I had to use any brainpower for was gettings the wire for the brake light to tuck into the small hole supplied. Also went out and bought my own allen key style bolts and rubber washers instead of the supplied bits to make sure it was easy enough to take off and water proof the holes. Fairly easy DIY
  22. Circuit. Still a little while. Drag. End of May I'll be able to post up my 1/4 time. New Sparkplugs on order, Rear wiper now deleted. Must be time to start saving for an oil cooler and brakes and wear out the Toyo's so I can start running Semi's
  23. Cheers for the advice guys. Sunday 29th May at Heathcote is when i'll be out there. Be great to have a few others there. Esp people with a lot more experience then myself. Of all my friends my closest competition will be a standard BA XR8 Falcon on her first attempt. So im only really in it to see low I can get my times. Anything over 12.5 I will be leaving the Skyline parked outside and the Statesman will be moving into the shed. Cheers. Luke
  24. Hey guys. Just looking for some advice for a day at the drags coming up shortly in regards to getting the most out of my car without changing any major parts or spending huge wads of nonexistant cash. R33 Gts-t, with 245rwkw running slightly unsuitable Tein Superstreet coilovers. I am not changing the suspension so I want to make the most of what I have in terms of Aerodynamics and weight savings. I have already removed the backseat, spare tyre, tools, sound deadening, rear wiper. Running 15" steelies rear with Mickey Thompson ET's are set to 20psi and stock 16s at the front set to 45psi (max pressure rating on the Tyre wall). Also will be using tape to block any unneeded gaps on the front to assist airflow. I run a GTR wing day to day. Any opinions on this whether to remove it to reduce drag and weight??? Or leave it to try and keep some weight over the rear wheels??? I've done a couple of drag days before but am certainly still a rookie at it. Any other suggestions I could trial to try and sneak a few 10ths?? Looking for anything under 12.5 but I don't think I will be able to sneak 11's with the Tein suspension. That won't stop me trying. Prev best was a 13.8 a couple of years ago but with near standard car on the same MT tyres. Surely theres more I can do without spending cash to help make it quicker Cheers. Luke
  25. Sorry to bring back an old thread guys. But better this then starting a new one when the topic is exactly the same. Currently got the rear wiper arm off. and im presented with the (roughly 23mmish nut that seems to be holding the last piece on) Dont really have the dollars to invest in a new rear window. Currently soaking in wd 40 overnight and I plan on trying to remove tommorow. Anyone done this before to have any tips that will help prevent a smashed rear window. (But actually involve removing the rear wiper ) Cheers,. Luke
