  1. 23, boot is primarily used for bags of ice hockey gear and bikes.
  2. I find in my s1 it will hang around the halfway mark quite a while and drop really fast down to the 1/4 tank marking then hang around there for a good while. It often pisses me off cause when I leave it sit in the garage overnight which was reading 1/4 when I pulled in, the next day when I hop in its back up to 3/8ths or sometimes even higher.
  3. I recently had to get one replaced, my mech just ordered it in new for $70something overnight and all was good again
  4. If I had a spare pile of cash then sure I'd have bigger wheels... more likely a 260rs but alas I do not
  5. Well I wanted to know what the biggest that fit without mods was, when I knew that, I know anything smaller will fit
  6. I'm not looking to fill it out to the guards absolute limit, I just want some decent rims that aren't going to cost my nuts to replace the stocko ones. Hrm I have 225/50R16 tyres on the car, if I go to 245/40R18 thats surely going to put the speedo out somewhat?... is my real speed going to be faster or slower than the speedo is indicating? Also after looking under the arches, the rear will be fine, but the front has some suspension part that sits within a few inches of top of the tyre, is that going to be a problem at all? Last question, +38 offset as opposed to the +35, that will bring the face of the rim slightly closer to guards? or is it going the other way?
  7. Too hot with leather seats? Cmon thats what A/C is for
  8. 18"x8" ,positive 38 offset, PCD is 5/114.3 Thats what I am looking at atm, will they fit comfortably under there?
  9. Can someone be so kind as to inform me of the largest 18" rims that will fit under a stock series 1 stag. It is still in lift kit mode, so some form of lowering is also going to happen as well. I am looking at some ford au/ba rims and I'd rather find out what would be pushing it before I go see any. AFAIK standard offset is for s1 stags is 35, yes? I have looked searched through some other threads but most of the stuff appeared vary a fair bit and a lot was for series 2 stags.
  10. Willing to split? Is the $100 for everything? I am interested in the boost gauge.
  11. Ooher I'd be interested in an Apillar pod for sure
  12. I am with JCI, 23 yo and it costs me $1060pa for 14.5k value. Excesses suck balls though especially seing my old bommodore was flogged from outside my house :S
  13. Whats up with the oval "Being Active" sticker on the rear bumper? My stag that was recently imported to Oz also has one too, a "Prince Tokyo" one to be specific. Is it some ultra cool thing to have in Japan or do they come with it on?
  14. If thats the case I'd say the cost involved would be way more than I am willing to pay I'll just keep the ol racks where they are. They add to the sleeper look anyway
  15. Thanks for all the replies everyone, most of my q's have been answered I tried the 50:50 4wd coming up my street into the driveway and it sure didn't like turning in on a sharp angle, got all shuddery and felt all weird. Smooth again once the button was off.
  16. I have only just bought my stag too and I know it has only been in Oz for less than 12 months, I actually have all the compliance papers. So it has been complied recently however my yellow foggies are fully functional I did ask this in another thread but I never really got an answer, is operating foglights in Australia illegal? I would take a stab at yes if yours were disabled in the comp process. I spose the other question is do the cops actually pull you up for them? Has anyone been pulled up for using them on here? I have seen tons of silvias with their yellow lights on crusing around over the last few years.
  17. Oooher that is cool, on the note of "getting things" roof rack rail covers? How difficult are they to obtain here in Oz?
  18. Heh I got no problem with loudness, its all stocko. Also how do I change the RB20E up near the av, I can't see any option in the CP... I am blind though Or is that some kind of noob ranking you move through as you post more etc.
  19. Hey all, first post time I just bought myself my first Stagea after running around in a 1970 Valiant Regal for the last 2 years. Sure it was cool but too old too many problems that needed attention and even though it was only the small Hemi 245 it liked petrol way too much. I am so not used to all the crazy gadgets and buttons... the Val had 5 tops heh. Absolutely loving it though, I just keep finding more cool stuff I had no idea was in the car! Anyway I have a few simple questions that can hopefully be answered fairly easily. I have looked through the (from the looks of things home made) manual - perhaps part of compliance? Plus a quick search here but the terms are a bit generic and I couldn't find anything. 1) The snow/off/power button near the auto gear stick... what exactly does that do? To have a guess - power mode = more aggressive gear ratios for more speed/power? Snow = limted power to stop you sliding all over the shop into solid objects when on crazy icy roads in japan? 2) The OD button on the gear stick itself. I know that enables OD for nice highway cruising, also according to the manual provides better fuel ecconomy. For everyday non-spirited driving should this be left on? Or should I only be using this on the highway? 3) The S button with the 4 wheels to the left of the steering wheel, my guess may be 4 wheel steering perhaps? Turn it on for U turns etc? Or am I completely wrong on that? 4) The yellow fog lights on the front, similar to silvias. Are these legal to run in QLD? I seem to remember hearing something long ago that fogs in general are illegal to run. I know there will be arguments for and against them looking "cool" but I reckon they look pretty neat contrasting against the red paint on my car. 5) If I feel the desire to chew my fuel up faster and go out for a cruise with mates with more powerful cars. The best combo for the most aggressive power/accel would be with the power button ON and the OD button OFF? Thanks in advance for any advice
