  1. Yep same details. Ok, I sent every one in the old thread a PM regarding the new group buy being open. If I have missed any one I am sorry, but it is very late and GT5 is occupying my time F**k me dead this is filling quickly! I have extended the Black Holes to a batch of 20 since it has allready filled the 10 spots lol. I think I will message Richard tomorrow and speak to him regarding freight for 80 damn products. We might have to send them in two seperate boxes a week apart or something to avoid a customs hit. SUMP PLUG BUY LIST 1. R31NISMOID 2. BWRGTR 3. BASTI 4. STOLEN-GTR 5. N1GTR 6. SHIHAN 7. 2. I really don't get what the OP is on about You are worried about what your 18 month old son will be driving in 16 years time because you won't be able to buy a brand new R34, JZA80 Supra, FTO etc?
  3. Why would you buy an RB20DE equipped R33 GTS? You know technically they weren't legal to import into the country because their power/weight ratio is so terrible? To answer your question, no there isn't. Keep the $300 towards a service or something.
  4. The Neo RB25DE is 10.1 compression, which is pretty high for decent boost on BP98 (E85 wouldn't really be a problem). The only main differences is the Neo RB25DE block doesn't have oil squirters to cool the underside of the pistons (same as a RB30) and the block also doesn't have a turbo oil return connection. Obviously the pistons are different with a higher crown for the higher compression. What are you doing for the gearbox? R33 5 speed with a custom tailshaft?
  5. Played it for about an hour doing the first license and two proper races and I think it is really good. Obviously the hype for this game was huge and the fact it was delayed for so long made people think it was going to be something out of this world. Overall I can see a a few months of addiction in the game
  6. My fuel pump without the rear seats is a bit noisy (Nismo in tank). But with the carpet there it is nearly back to being silent. The carpet is fairly thick but soft/spongy at the same time so doesn't weigh much at all. If you wanted to take it the next step furthur, a little bit of Dynamat or spray sound deadener would work wonders. The other thing I noticed is once I put the carpet in the fuel smell was a lot less compared to just having the back seats removed.
  7. Yes JZA80 is the same sump plug M12x1.25 (My mate is getting one for his in this batch because he was pissed off I didn't get him one lol) Yeah I think i'm going to have to PM them. I didn't want to add every one onto the list initially just in case people have changed their mind or something. Yes the Black Holes are a set of 6 as pictured So if you order 2, that means you get 12 magnets.
  8. Group buy #2 now opened! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/di...et-t345709.html
  9. Hey guys As promised here is the second group buy for the Dimple Neodymium magnetic drain plugs. This time we will also do an order for not only the Dimple sump plugs, but also for the diff plugs, gearbox plugs and the Black Hole oil filter magnets. I'm still awaiting confirmation for the size of the diff and gearbox plugs, however I should have it this week. Either way I will start taking the numbers for them and if anything changes I will let every one know. For the new guys, please have a read of the first post I made in the old thread for a good understanding of what Dimple plugs are all about, how they work and how they differ from typical cheap magnetic drain plugs: Dimple Group Buy #1 Information I'm anticipating this group buy to fill quick so if you want one please put your name down ASAP! The last one filled incredibly quickly. BLACK HOLE FILTER MAGNETS These are new from Dimple and in essence are Neodymium magnets that are put on the outside of the oil filter for added protection. So in essence you buy them once, and for the rest of your life you can re-use them on every oil filter you buy. Ends up turning out cheaper compared to buying magnetic oil filters every time. Pricing wise there will be a slight change from the previous group buy. Last time I sent them with normal freight to every one but couldn't send them in the vials that they come in due to thickness restrictions. This time I want to send them in express post satchels so they arrive to every one as quickly as possible and so I can get tracking numbers for all of them. This will benefit people that are getting more than one plug as I can fit heaps into one of the express post satchels (up to 500g). So pricing is as follows: 1 Dimple item - $35 Delivered Australia wide 2 or more items - $35 Delivered Australia wide for the first item + $30 extra for each additional item Eg. 2 Dimple items - $65 Delivered Eg. 3 Dimple items - $95 Delivered I'm sure you can all understand that, it's pretty simple. I think I will limit them to 20 per plug and 10 for the Black Holes, but depending on how the group buy goes I may reduce the amount. However the minimum amount for the group buy to go ahead is 20 items. I will keep the group buy open until the 13/12/10 but the date may change dependent on how things go (they always end up closing a lot earlier). I will than require payment within one week from the group buy closing and will transfer the money to the US. They will obviously arrive after Christmas however I would like to get them sent out from the US before Richard shuts for Christmas holidays. The people that registered interest in the first group buy thread will get first choice on what they want to keep things fair. Please feel free to ask any questions. Cheers guys. 10. I nearly wasn't going to buy it after reading half these damn posts since it came out! But for $77 I ended up buying it today. Just installing it now. At least you guys have really lowered my expectations of it (which were incredibly high 1 week ago) so hopefully I will love it now
  11. That is about as perfect condition as you are going to get. Mine is in damn good condition and I still think yours is in better nik
  12. It's because the exhaust is mounted in the middle so it makes it look a bit strange...
  13. Depending on how much boost you are running I would try a 1.1 gap and see how you go. For reference I run Splitfire coilpacks with 0.8 gap NGK plugs (7 heat range) and don't get a missfire with 20psi of boost and nitrous. Once the plugs get a bit fouled up, then it will miss. Hence I changed them every 5000km.
  14. I saw one of the Supercharged sedans the other day. What the hell is with Ford putting so many damn vinyls all over their cars nowadays! Every damn Ford has some sort of stripes/swirls and shit down the sides. Not a fan. (the only one that looks good is on the side of the bonnet buldge).
  15. Considering they are genuine parts that are no longer available brand new, your only chance is the for sale section for second hand ones or ebay. The side skirts should be easy enough to find, the weather shields a lot harder (not sure why you would want such ugly things, they were the first thing I ripped off my car when I bought it).
  16. You want the largest gap that your ignition system will allow for the best burn. If you develop a missfire you can gap them down (or buy pre gapped plugs) until the missfire stops. Or you can look at your ignition system and see whether it needs time for a replacement. Standard maximum gap that spark plugs usually come in is a 1.1 gap represented by -11 on the end of the part number. Most people run a 0.8 gap due to running high amounts of boost or having poor ignition systems.
  17. Here are two of probably the best threads regarding drivetrain loss that I know of on these forums. Once you read should cover everything (Also saves this thread from turning into one of them again.) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Bh...drivetrain+loss http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Dy...drivetrain+loss
  18. This has been covered A LOT of times, please search through the forums and you will learn the answers. The simple fact is there is no such thing as "how much boost can they handle". Boost doesn't kill engines. Running 20psi from a T28 at 7000RPM making 250rwkw is a lot different from running 15psi from a T04Z at 7000RPM making 350rwkw. *figures are just made up* Please research into what "Boost" actually means as turbos don't technically make boost, they produce high amounts of airflow that increases as the RPM increases which in turn is too much for the engine to swallow and therefore the pressure builds up in the intake system. This pressure is what we call boost. If you get a good understanding of how turbochargers work and what actually can destroy/make an engine fail you will learn a lot. Also let's please not go into the whole drivetrain loss argument, that has been covered to death aswell.
  19. They fit really well. I used to work for a company my mate opened up called North Coast Kustoms and as a bit of a demo display we installed two of those enclosures on either side and made a false floor with a perspex panel to view the amp underneath it. Still had 90% of my boot space and looked extremely neat. Kind of miss having that setup...
  20. On the drivers side to the upper left of the footrest pedal you will notice a little mechanical box with a plug going into it (has a little cog/gear on it and you can manually turn it with your fingers). This opens and closes the vents when you switch it. It's that thing.
  21. I ended up sorting it out Turned out to be a bad connection from the ECU to the Aircon output wire. Even though the ECU said it was switching, in reality it wasn't. I traced the wire back and found where the connection had broken. Once I changed the settings on the Vipec to make sure it was swtiching the correct way it kicked in and started working.
  22. So just quickly editing the old picture I did in paint, you mean something like this: (Obviously the LED's wouldn't be white like that)
  23. Yeah that was the main thing. To get it retrimmed was going to cost me around $400+ and it just seemed like a waste when I hardly ever have any one in the back (also I wouldn't be able to afford to spend that for a while). It looks good in real life and from outside the car it doesn't look like the back seat is gone, it just looks like a black rear seat The best option would have been an Electra carbon fibre rear seat delete but they are rare as hell and cost an arm and a leg.
  24. Ah ok, yeah you guys are probably right about the Mackay thing. Still waiting to here from EJD001 regarding the diff and sump plugs. I might PM him.
