Ok So if I can find a decent price RB26, than it will be easier to connect everything. With the RB 20 wiring with the 25 engine, besides having to have a switch for the VCT, is there anything else that will have to be rewired differently? Can I use the RB20 computer and use a EManage　instead of the Nistune?

Is this hard to do? Is this the only thing that needs to be done to fit a RB 26 into a R32 GTS-T?

So that easy to put in a 26? What about the slump? I was told that you have to cut it. What is the slump exactly?

Would the RB26 be too much power for the GTS-T to handle? What would I have to do to make sure the car performs well with it? The wiring matches up?

So it sounds like the rb 20 loom is the better way to go. Only the engine, and transmission will change? So Hicas wont work after the engine change? How much does Nistune cost? If I go the 25 computer and loom, I will need what other sensors and parts?

I am living in Japan so some parts are easy to find. Not sure how much a Nistune will be. So basically if I use everything 20 except for engine and transmission, I will only need to have the computer tuned, and make a 2nd switch for the VCT to work. What if I want to get more power than stock. My goal is 300 rwhp. How will that affect me using aftermarket computers? If I choose the RB25 loom, will it be easier to use a Power FC instead of the stock computer? So you are saying if I use the 25 computer I cannot use any aftermarket computers with it? What is a TPS?

Where can I get the wiring diagrams from? I want to hear more about using the RB 25 loom before I decide. I do not want to have trouble down the line if not using RB 25 computer.

I read through Predators post, long. I think the easiest option is to use the 25 loom but than there are problems with the wipers and ac. Is this easy to fix? I do not know about the wiring on the car. I would be lost unless I had a step by step instructions and also shown what wires are what. What about the Hicas problem? Will it still work since The R33 is electronic Hicas and the R32 is hydraulic? Will it be easier to use the RB20 loom and wiring? What is a TPS? My car is a manual. So it said that I would only have to cut the yoke off of the RB 25 tail shaft and weld it onto the RB 20 tail shaft and that is is it for modding the tailshaft? The gear box mounts do line up? Sorry, learning here.

Which is better, running a RB25 with the VCT and one exhaust aftermarket cam or running a intake and exhaust aftermarket cam? Goal would be 350 rwhp and good responsiveness.

What if I run the RB25 without VCT? So best to get the wiring harness for the 25?

I read that some people use the RB20's loom, sensors and computers, coil packs. Is this possible?

What about the shaft? Do I have to use one off of a 25? I have to cut it?

Hello Before I asked everyone if I should put a RB25 in my R32 GTS-T. Most people said keep the original engine. I live in Japan(American). Well I have to change engines anyway. The previous owner of this car put a wide body rear fender kit on the car to make it look like a GTR, he did not register the change. So when next year's inspection and road taxes come, it will change the price of my car's road tax and class and plate series. So I might as well put a 25 in the car. It will cost the same, meaning that for the extra money I have to pay for taxes it will be the same wether I put the 25 in or not. How do I put the 25 in ?, I mean is there a site that gives tips about what to do when changing engines? There will be people there to help me who know what they are doing but I want to learn as much as possible before I do this. It will not happen until next year early but I want to know what I am doing before I start. What parts besides the 25 engine, computer, engine wiring harness will I need? Fuel pump needs to be changed? Any and all info and suggestions about this please give me. Help please.

So basically, the old HKS 2530 is a good turbo for the RB 20 but better and more expensive is the GTRS?

I will try that but it is not as expensive as you think. The most expensive part will be having someone tune the engine. JCI would be same price as if I had a vehicle which engine is over 2000cc, so even if I had a mini van or large size sedan such as a Mark 2 or R33 or anything, the JCI is the same price. Insurance yes but not by a lot, so yes I will try to mod the 20 but if I come across a 25 or 26 which is in good working order for cheap or someone gives me one, I will change engines. My previous 32 had a RB25 turbo on it, no tuned computer, but it would boost before 3000 RPM. I want to have good driving in the 3000-4000 RPM range. Which turbo would　good for this? 2530? 2830? I do not know the names of all of the different turbos I can put on the 20.

Thats not true, I have already contacted the proper government people and the only thing I have to do is fill out paper work with the changes and pay a higher road tax fee. People due engine swaps a lot in Japan.

Hello I live in Japan and a paint job here is around 3000 dollars. I cant afford that now, other things to spend that much on. I have some experience painting from putting together models and painting wood. I have used a hobby airbrush not a car paint airbrush. There is a place to paint where I am. I want to take the pieces off of the car and paint them, hood, trunk, etc and than paint the main body whats left. Please give me sanding tips and painting tips. Has anyone every done a spray can paint job and have it come out nice? I want to paint it black or if easier, blue, bay blue. The car is white now. Help please

Hello My old cat is rusted to the cat back exhaust and the exhaust is time to put to rest. I have the cat back exhaust from my old 32(Apexi) I am going to just replace the cat instead of trying to cut the bolt off. Can I use a S 13/ S 14 cat on the R32? The guy at the parts store said yes. I want to make sure. I found a cat which looks after market but hard to tell. The cat might be stock. Help please, I have today to change the cat or I have to wait one month before I can go back to the garage and change it.
