  1. This isnt about 33's being better and 32's being crap. I just want to know what will be the best bang for the buck. Instead of putting money into the RB 20 if buying and putting in a 25 will be better than I will. But if I can get the same power and some better torque than stock with my RB20 than I will be happy. I want 300 hp and good acelaration and better torque than I have now from stock. If that means I need to put in cam gears or put in upgraded fuel pump and fuel injectors and have it tuned than that is fine. If putting in a 25 is good than fine. Easier would be upgrading the 20. Can I get better torque with upgrades with my RB 20?

  6. Some one did. Waiting to see what is going to be done with the engine. With the RB25, will it having the VCT affect how I an mod it? Will a RB 25 tranny hold up with a RB26 ? I will try to get a 26 if I can.

I am not looking to become fasty man, but I dont want to be passed by VW or Non STI Subarus or The ugly Nissan Fugas and their so called Skylines that came out a few years ago, and mazadas and S-14's and S-15's. I want to be able to hang with the Toyota Mark IIs and R-34 GTTs and others..

  10. Just if I do the 20 besides exhaust, intake, inter cooler, bigger fuel pump, injectors, head gaskets, ecu tune, what else would anyone recommend I do to put the 20 at 300hp or over?
  11. Well I would put the engine and transmission in with help from people who have done engine installs . I estimate that I can find a 26 engine for free(someone has one in storage but has abandoned it possibly) or get one for about 1-2000 dollars. So my price range is about 3-4000 dollars to do this. Also Rb 25s are about 500 dollars used here. So thats even cheaper. I am wondering if it makes since to put a bigger engine in instead of modding the RB20. All work for the install can be done by myself and help from people who know what they are doing. What is this slump thing that I read about here with the RB 26 that needs to be modified to fit the R32? Is this only if I do not use the GTR transmission? I am looking to use the R32 GTR engine and transmission if I go the RB26 route. What are some bad points about the 25?Help please
  12. Hello I am wondering which is best and makes more since money wise, to upgrade my RB 20 or put a RB25 or 26 in. My goal is 300 plus horse power, 350 if possible. I want to have a car that is quick and good mid range which can hit it if I have too. I do not want a laggy car. Is it better to put a RB25 or 26 inside? I live in Japan, so I will buy parts here, cheaper. My R32 is manual, so besides engine, wiring harness, computer, and transmission from a R 33 or GTR what else would I need? Or should I build my RB 20? Help please

  14. Hello I have a Rb 25 turbo I am going to put onto my RB 20 DET. I have seen many aftermarket turbos. In the old posts, the 2530 is talked about a lot. Which turbo will be good for me if I want 300 plus horse power, and is good for a daily driver with good mid range but can get up and go if I want it to? Help please

  16. Thanks The ECU is stock. I am not sure what it is set to. The adjusting screw is at the opposite end 80% from the starting point. So should I switch to the RB 20 aculator? How do you clean out a inter cooler?
  17. Hello I have a manual R32 GTS-T. I am going to upgrade it to make 250 hp and than 300 hp. When do I need to upgrade the clutch and transmission internals? I see many people adding the upgraded clutch to their cars without changing the turbo. The cars always ring when they start up the car and I have driven one with a upgrade clutch and it is hard to drive. Why upgrade? When is the right time to? Help please
  18. Hello It has been a while since I posted on here, over a year. I have read the posts but still need some help. Please help. I live in Japan, American, so not Australia, but dont mind buying parts from Australian stores. I have a new 1992 R32 GTS-T. This time its a manual. My first car died. I am taking parts off of it. I am going to take the RB25 turbo with the HKS aculator and put it onto the new car. SO far the car has a 3 inch cat back exhaust, split front pipe, stock cat, Apexi air intake and that is all. I am going to add the RB25 turbo as I mentioned. Should I keep the HKS aculator on it or put the RB20 one on? I am getting a inter cooler also. Will used ones be fine such as ones from Blitz or Arc or used GTR ones? I can find cheap used inter-coolers here for about 100 dollars. My goal is 300 hp but now I am aiming for 250 hp to start. Should I replace the fuel pump too since I am adding the turbo and inter cooler? If so than I will buy a after market one rated higher so when I start the big mods I will have it. What else should I add now? Are the Emanges' still a good option for tuning later? Help please
  19. You mentioned earlier that I would not see any boost with the TD06 until 60 kmh, how would the car drive until then? Would it be slow? Would a GT-RS be a good compromise? Want to make sure I get it right. The 25 turbo is pretty good but want to make sure when I upgrade that I don't lose response.
  20. Why are autos better for highway driving? What color should I get? Joking Will try a manual. How do they drive with a manual compared to an auto? Will upgrading the clutch and flywheel with Nismo or other aftermarket parts be good or should I put a RB25 manual inside?
  21. Ok GTRS are good for response while the TD06 is good for flat out speed. I live in Japan. I live in a area where its close to Yokohama so there are a lot of places to hit the gas here, especially on the highway. There are famous places here highway wise where the Japanese and foreign people living here take their rides to display and race. It is expensive to use the track here so I will only do that maybe once or twice a year. I want to have good response as well has having good speed. Which would be the better option: highflow the RB25 turbo on my RB20, by a GTRS(2530), or go TD06 or something? I am planning to start buying parts to upgrade my car more.
  22. A friend gave me the cams. They are RB cams. So with the duration being 272 that is too much and it will make me lose power and give me too much lag? What turbo would be a good match with 264 or 256 cams? Which Tomei cams, Pon or Pro cams?
  23. So how is the daily driving with these RB 20's? I was thinking about the TD06. Is it laggy? How can I improve the low? Cams?
