  1. R34 GTT no doubt is a nice car. But it would be hard to justify the extra $10k you'll be paying for marginal improvements. If you had to choose between the two, you would get the R34 based on it's looks. I personally like how it looks more aggresive, especially with a Nismo front bar. R33's looks are more subtle & sleek. I currently have a R33 ser.2 Gts-t. It is a 'fun' car, except for in the wet I think I will be going AWD next time so I don't have to worry about traction so much in the wet.
  2. Isn't the metal wheel slower at spooling?
  3. I've heard that the late series 2 R33 has some of the attributes or something similar to the R34 NEO (VVL?). Can anyone confirm this?
  4. Three words, first word starts with an A. I don't recommend anyone goes there, ever! I'd like to name them but don't know if this is against the forum rules?
  5. In Melbourne. I'll just say it was a place in Ringwood, close to Car City. I reckon they took my car for a spin too and dented the exhaust as it has a slight rattle now. F&*^ing pissed!
  6. I just got my alarm installed and have to say it is a shit job! I have to take it back because the installer couldn't program the turbo timer into the alarm, so he just unplugged it. He then said I don't have to worry about the turbo timer unless I was doing racing in it. Second to that, the car took 7 hours of dedicated work and it's still not right! Also, I have to take it back in two weeks time, because they decided to tell me they were closing this weekend, after initially telling me to come in on this Saturday so they can fix it up. From what I've noticed so far, they have to integrate the turbo timer, hook up the boot release (which they were supposed to) and install the glass break sensor because they didn't have one (which they did not inform me about over the phone, until I drove all the way down there). I haven't had the time to go over the car fully yet as I have been busy. No doubt I will find other things. Lastly, I have a sneaking suspicion they took my car out for a fang, and went over a bump as there is a faint exhaust rattle now. This is really poor customer service! I paid $550 fitted and it's a second rate job that isn't even finished! I wish I had waited longer to go to someone recommended off this site. But I was in a rush to get it installed and have been burnt. Just a warning to you all.
  7. That would be awesome mate!
  8. Where did you get this from? Also, how effective are your front bar indicators now that you've done this? Is it just a small orange flash because you only have an orange bulb, or does the whole circle light up like it's supposed to?
  9. Thanks Sam! I had no idea the clear and orange lens weren't the same. A couple of questions though. Is removing an indicator legal? How are people from front on to know which way you are wanting to turn? Secondly, do you think you could just use a really dark spray shadow tint on the orange to achieve somewhat desirable results? Or what about some clear plastic cut and filed to size, shadow spray tinted, and then inserting an amber bulb? I'm sure you can get many variations in plastic texture, like that found on the original clear lens. Looking at that picture of the orange lens, you could cut a clear plastic circle, and then make the base and put them together. I just don't know where to get some! Any ideas?
  10. Hi Chris. This Mongoose alarm on ebay says it is Aust standard certified. So this should be fine to get installed right? The difference in price is huge! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MONGOOSE-M80G-CAR-A...1QQcmdZViewItem
  11. It's better to advertise you have an alarm with generic stickers, then not to advertise at all. But never to advertise the specific manufacturer. I'd rather have a theif being deterred in the first place, than a theif trying to break in and busting your locks, glass etc.
  12. I have an N15 SSS, and I put an aerpro drink holder in the din slot. So hypothetically, these will also fit in the R33?
  13. I couldn't find them there. I'm sure there are a couple of members on here who have tinted ones. Looks like sam5709 has them, or has them blocked off.
  14. Does anyone know where to get R33 series 2 front bar circular clear lens, so I can replace the circular orange lens with clear ones? For the same reason people replace their winkers with Nismo clear ones, I think the circular orange lens on the front bar make it look outdated and ugly. Has anyone done this?
  15. ^^^^ Where do you get those? Or are they just the LED type that don't swirl? Like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-SKYL...87604QQtcZphoto
