  1. lol howd u figure that? 1x pfc, 1x rims
  2. didn't the aus delivered only come in single turbo? that'd be a pretty big giveaway
  3. what's the material? wood or fibreglass?
  4. im interested in the r33 s2 front bar... do u have the indicators too? any pics? also pics of the nismo lip? thanks
  5. i need one too (coupe)... did the right thing by posting in "wtb" but might as well piggy back this thread
  6. which hoses and clamps are missing? gtr coolers come black standard right? have u sanded it back?
  7. just curious, how much more would it cost for the alternating number size? might be worth it's own group buy? just a thought...
  8. Any chance you could make the numbers alternate in size, similar to stock r34 and s15 speedos? that along with a tasteful gtst/skyline logo would look pretty sweet i think, and would guarantee me as a buyer.
  9. That's what I was saying! you're the one saying the r33 is already illegal for a p plater so can't be made legal. if the r33 gtst was made to have less power it would be NO LONGER OVER THE POWER TO WEIGHT LAWS. you REALLY need to work on your comprehension skills. as for the costs involved, they are irrelevant at the moment. we're discussing all the ways a p plater can legally drive a r33
  10. Here we agree. But have a look at that statement again. "any vehicle with a power to weight ratio over 125 kw per tonne", and it ends there. It does not go on to mention which cars are over this limit. This point, combined with the point regarding modifications, is the basis of my argument that it may be possible to bring a car below the power to weight limit. If a r33 gtst is modified in any legal way to have, for arguments sake, 160kw, then it is no longer over the power to weight ratio. Can you see where I'm coming from? There's no need for snide remarks. Nice save. No argument there. If you'll recall that's why I mentioned engineer's certificates in my first post. Fair enough. So the weight is set in concrete, but as lexi bro! suggested the variable "power" is still in the game. R31Nismoid (and others), don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing just for the sake of it. But I certainly don't appreciate being shut down every time I bring up a not so implausible suggestion to this very real problem. Just because it doesn't concern you does not mean it's not a heartache for other drivers.
  11. You conveniently overlooked the following line from both that website and this thread.
  12. Straight from a TMU officer when specifically asked about the new $1100(max) fine: Also, Yeah, the R33 is currently banned, but only because it makes too much power for its weight. The actual car is not blacklisted, or anything of the sorts (for pre july 1 p platers). Because they specify the power from modified cars has to be calculated (and that's in plain print), it is not so unreasonable to assume the same for "mods" that decrease the power. If I am wrong in this assumption, please prove me so. For a mod, you seem to be throwing around a lot of false information as fact. You are not setting a good example. In future, please back up your statements with links/quotes so that we may have a constructive discussion on this issue.
  13. And that also only for post july 1 p platers.
  14. Ruffels, on what grounds did they contest the fine? I'm so desperate for a solution I REALLY don't wanna sell my car
  15. Hey guys, Well I just called VicRoads, and they confirmed the laws are still coming in. I also enquired about adding weights, and he said you'd need to get the car weighed at a weigh bridge and then do your own calculations. I believe there's one on Hume Hwy?
  16. I was implying that it's not all that uncommon to find 45 year old men driving modified skylines, so proving it to VicRoads would be easier than you suggested (although probably still difficult)
  17. remind me next time to never ask a question on this forum Are you certain of this? Anyone confirmed otherwise?
  18. A good portion of the people on this forum are around that age.
  19. Mate there's no need to be such a prick about it. No one said anything about using sandbags. I was thinking along the lines of adding corner weights. And for your information: Straight from http://www.arrivealive.vic.gov.au/c_youngGLS_9b.html Now who's wrong?
  20. the old law goes off factory figures unless its modified, were they suggest you get all the mods engineered and make your own calculations.
  21. well there was some discussion in the other thread regarding adding weights and engineering it.
  22. pwahh thats a beast man hey allblitz, that video in ur sig, seen it before but i just remembered how good the last ~40 seconds are.
  23. Hey people, with the new laws and tougher penalties coming in, just wondering what all you p platers will be doing? keep driving? sell? engineer?
  24. arrghhhhh this is all gay gay gay gay I know the power to weight rule has always been in place, but it's not always enforced now. I wonder if that will change after the new laws come in? probably yes
  25. nobody has any experience with aftermarket sunroofs?
