  1. Natsoft says it did a 1min1.4secs. That is fair moving for anything, let alone a 31.
  2. Not the most exciting race ever, but some fabulous driving from the McLaren boys, on the limit through the swimming pool section!!! Hilarious weekend from the Ferraris, the image of TWO ferraris parked at Rascasse this year will stay with me forever, maybe they should get Badoer out in the spare car next year and make it a trio!!!! Every F1 race is good, some are more exciting than others thats all. Now we are off to the engine and brake killer Canada.
  3. Fisichella bins it, Schumacher bins it, Sutil bins it, Davidson bins it, Coulthard bins it and Hamilton bins it...... Monaco bites!!! Good to see Webber has pace, that hydraulic issue it a bit of a worry though....will be interesting to see how Hamilton recovers. Especially as he was saying he wants pole.
  4. I would say no mate, street tyres aren't designed to work well with a large amount of heat in them. I would say keep going with your "soft" burnouts Tried launching in first though??? Obviously more wheelspin but if you nail it I reckon it would improve the time.....
  5. Renault at least look like they are making progress, Heikki was pretty damn quick. Yes I know he was light on fuel but he was about 1.5secs a lap faster. Rosberg is rather good, I can see him becoming a force soon. Agreed on Ralf, he was never anything amazing and is certainly nothing amazing now, at the start of the year he said he thought he was in the top three drivers in F1.........AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHA I lament this "young driver" madness as well. There was a good article in F1 Racing about the difference a driver makes. Let alone the next Sennas or Schumachers. What about the next Prost, the next Piquet, the next Mansell???? Hamilton and Rosberg are pretty damn good, but I reckon there are a lot of awesome young drivers out there that should get a shot.....or even older drivers!!!! To be honest I don't think F1 drivers lose speed until their early 40's. Hopefully Prodrive sees the light and gets two experienced fast drivers that aren't necessarily still in diapers.
  6. I hope he does, him and Crompo will make a top team
  7. On the subject of the 20 race calender. I had an idea the other day after reading that Marcos Ambrose now has 16 consecutive race weekends in NASCAR. My thought was why not apply this to F1?? Make it a 24 race calender or something but almost all races back to back. Australia-Malaysia-Singapore break Bahrain-the sphincter of the universe break Montreal-Indy break Japan-Shanghai break then basically back to back all the European rounds. Season wont be any longer as it cuts out the stupid 3/4 week breaks, we get to include all the good tracks Spa, Hockenheim, Imola while still expanding to Singapore, India, Abu Dhabi etc. Testing will be lessened therefore saving money as the teams just won't have time. Still be able to have test sessions every friday at the GP circuits though. What do you reckon?? A better system or am I taking too many drugs again?
  8. no intercooler on that baby. 2 litre N/A straight six....what a noise!
  9. Thats a shame. However it increases my huge respect for the man, takes a very big man to step aside and say enough is enough. Look forward to seeing him back at the enduros though!
  10. I agree with you, I don't rate Massa that much as a driver. Although he sure is quick. The test will be next year when everything changes, will he adapt like Alonso did this year?? Or become an also-ran. You have to say that although his current style is sloppy it works in the current cars. I can't wait for next year, look out for the true performers. Raikonnen, Alonso, Button.....Hamilton slides the rear a bit, it might hurt him.
  11. Well what an amazing race, certainly turned a few things on their heads! First off, that BMW pitstop was the most amateur effort I have ever seen. If I can see the wheel didn't go on from the comfort of my living room, the pit controller should be able to see it as well. Finally Renault and Honda found a little bit of pace, Heikki would have been up there without refuelling problems! Massa is simply on fire, he is obviously learning a lot from Schuey. Going to be interesting to see how Alonso takes this pressure of falling off the pace! C'mon Kimi!!!!
  12. Yeh car wasn't in full race spec but have a look at the onboard footage on YouTube. He may be taking it easy but that car is absolutely flying!!! He must have taken it really really easy in some sections.
  13. I thought that might be the case, it is rare that someone of his calibre comes along. Every rider in MotoGP is no doubt an amazing rider and can ride a bike on the limit, yet he has that ability to get that extra 2 or 3 tenths a lap out of a bike. He is up there with Senna in that respect.
  14. From what I understand it is only the genius of Rossi that is keeping that bike anywhere near the front......but I don't know where his teammates are coming or anything about bikes really..... Good to see another Aussie doing well on the world stage!
  15. Another good reason to cut aero as much as possible, they make the cars look damn ugly. Was looking at pictures of the 88 Mclaren (MP4??) and it is simple and elegant and beautiful.
  16. I agree totally. Never had instruction before, but this tuesday I have the John Bowe performance driving school It's expensive, but I will learn more on this one day than I would on $385 worth of private practice days, of that I am certain. can't wait!
  17. Thanks for the replys guys.....still a bit confused though. Nothing I have read about the 997 Turbos on road or race track have ever mentioned anything about non-overrideable ESP systems though?!?!?! Hopefully will read this months Wheels and that may shed some light on it...... Very un-Porsche like as well to have a "safety net" on their cars. Poor form I say.
  18. Can someone please explain this "too smart for their own good" thing to me??? I heard rumours that the 997 Turbos weren't popular, but couldn't find out the reason why.....
  19. Nice work mate! I saw the Zed in a ZOOM mag the other day, can't argue with the best part of 750hp Are they going to run at different tracks or only Wakefield??
  20. Bad luck mate!! Sounds like you were really going well until the little off. Tassie's roads sure can bite!! Like you said, disappointing you did all the hard stuff only to have a little accident have major consequences. Glad your wife didn't kill you! Hopefully see you back next year.
  21. I agree totally with you Tim....
  22. Hahahahaha Source Automotive do all my mechanical work. Scotty is an awesome fella and great mechanic!!
  23. Well done to everyone tonight in the night stage, a few people had some navigation issues haha but was a great show. Looking forward to seeing the cars again tomorrow!!
  24. I didn't say what had inspired him!!! I don't think BMW should get rid of Hiedfeld.......and going to Toyota would be the worlds worst move.
  25. Those R32's look absolutely awesome!!! .....and no words can describe a works 240RS
