  1. my rb25 takes 4.5L of oil, that takes it to the full line, would at least start with that much, as for oil im using a valvoline 5w-30 dura blend, maybe gone through 6-7 oil changes using it and never had a prob
  2. hey all Wondering if anyone has any idea as to whats happened to the auto styling shop- europrojex, their site only just went offline and when i called them up, mind you it was a mobile number, i got someone who told me i must have called the wrong number Im chasing them as im looking for a brand new wonder body kit for my ceffy, and as far as im aware they're the only guys who do them in perth, any help would be grand Cheers Nath
  3. well i found when i ran my 25 at 11psi under full load, till about 4000rpm, the engine felt like it was getting a good old kick in the clutch, turns out it was rich and retard, you'll probably have to get tune, ecu and injectors if you wish to raise the boost higher, i just left my controller at 9psi, still goes alright in a full sedan haha
  4. Well lets see my car runs, slides and gets me from a-b everyday and after working on cars all day, the last thing i want to do is work on my own car, ive not sat down and gone through the design of every rb in detail, again because of the laziness, so im still learning as i go, i found out my mates rb20 was running gtr injectors so i had in mind that they would fit a 25 Yeah i figured you're not having a go at me and hey if arguing with a mod over injectors means ill get an increase in worn or even worse, gasp! my account gets deleted then that just shows how small they are, now im not having a go im just saying in general But hey he tried to help me? K i asked for no maybe or probably answers and whats he given me oh you should be able to raise reg pressure instead of changing injectors, i need evidence not opinions K well i think ive pretty much learnt a lesson here, talk face to face with someone who's obviously had experience Do the honors nismoid, close the thread unless there's something you want to add real quick?
  5. haha yeah i laughed at it after i realised how i wrote it. So now that we've established how a fpr works, nismoid, if i was to raise my fpr from say 38 to 45psi wouldnt that in turn be pushing more fuel through each injector on duration, if so wouldnt that be close to the same as going from a factory 370cc to a whopping 450cc injector, im only asking you as you seem to get all the facts round here, but hey ive also learnt from you that a fpr goes before the injectors....buh-bow all aboard the fail boat Eh enough out of me already, i cant stand fighting nerds
  6. k nismoid the reg is after the injectors otherwise fuel pressure would escape back to the tank instead of being held under pressure at the injectors and i didnt start this thread to argue, if you didnt hear me earlier i said i laughed not got angry when i mentioned that im a mechanic ill make it run, for the future "HAHA" means someone is laughing not getting angry, you're getting stuff back to front, ok thanks for the help but i didnt have a problem just a query haha I do have a clue about what im doing its just im the sort who needs to think thing through thoroughly before threading just to keep you happy, i only started the thread to get an idea of what i could and couldnt do, before doing it, hey we all have to learn somewhere, someday
  7. righto if your here to give me grief about what i say then go get a life, no really please do, btw a fuel pressure reg allows excessive fuel pressure to flow back to the tank, so pressure increases for the injectors then once it gets high enough the fpr releases the excess back to the tank, haha now really go back to mech school? Good one buddy no really good one haha, its people like you that are why i post up these sort of things just to hear your crap
  8. well if you didnt also read im asking if gtr injectors will fit and what i'd need to put them in but ive been told that s15ers are the way to go Now backyard mech? Where the hell you pulling that from, asif half you guys would do any hard work on your cars anyway, let alone being a qualified mechanic, as for running fpr with stock injectors, yeah well my boss's bro put an 040 in his stocker 33 and would you look at that its pushing fuel passed the injector o-rings coz the stock injectors cant flow the extra fuel coming at them. As for you sleepr85 im not shutting people down, if you cant tell im laughing in th post so yeah dont be making accusations in my thread. Cheers to those for positive input though
  9. hey well there's only one way to find out isnt there, ill try it, if failure occurs then ill sort it out when it happens
  10. pffft haha thats why adjustable fpr's were invented, im a mechanic, ill make it run
  11. mmm well can you confirm that s15 injectors are a direct fit and plug straight into the loom? If so ill just put them straight in and drive it, if i absolutely need to get tune/remap then i wont bother as i just want a little more till i have time and money for big work to get done, as im lazy this wont happen for a looong time yet haha Cant think of much that'll happen if i dont get a tune apart from it running rich as, least i might get a little more boost out of it, i dunno
  12. hey all Im looking for just a little extra out of my car and heard gtr injectors can be of some small assistance, my questions are, my 25 is a series 2 so will i need anything extra to run them, will i just be able to put those in while being fed by an 040, also will i need a tune or can i just drive my car as is? Not looking for answers that lead to oh yeah you could probably do it or maybe yeah, i need hard evidence that someone has put these in and driven the car as is Cheers
  13. hahaha oh the best cruise ive been on in a long time haha, and yeah of course that guy had it comin in his ss, he's bout a foot an a half shorter than anyone else an his seat was all the way back so he would have had about 1/3 of the required vision an too much arm length needed to grab the wheel so there was almost nothin he coulda done Ups to you mel for a delightful cruise, nice an lengthy with a variety of scenic stops, cant wait for the next!
  14. haha k now mel tell me do you like -Lumpy rb yes/no? -your hearing yes/no? -almost straight thru exh yes/no? Yes mods this is cruise related

  17. yeah the black is very nice, cant see the black around the tail lights, only gloss but its lovely, still tryin to figure out why i swapped the ceffy for it haha Yeah think it might actually squash ants, the exh has been flattened from 3" to 2.5" through the mid section and my god when i took it for a ride it was like doing a down drive over large boulders, nearly threw me out the window, the shocks in the coilovers have bottomed out so there's no more suspension travel left, felt awsome drivin it though, but couldnt leave the carpark coz it does get beached on speed bumps hahahaha
  18. mmm my old 4dr 32 turned up at work a little while ago...on frikn ring or what?
  19. no no my friend, i have a 33 rad in my ceffy, no mods needed that im aware of, its 34 ones that are too tall to fit

  21. i tell ya ive had it up to here with bp now, they did it again bout a week ago i went to the bp in padbury and saw they had put the out of order tags out again went inside and askt the guy behind the counter "oh so have you guys run out of 98?" he replies "oh yeah um i think so" me "so where is the closest station with 98?" him "oh um just get back on marmion and head north for about 5mins and you'll find one" me knowing thats untrue guidance by mr wanabe nav man/servo attendant i get back in my car and head down to scabs, what ya know, out of order tags out again go to innaloo same thing again, went back caltex on scabby rd near the beach, by this time my gf's tellin me to stop driving like a dick coz im %$#@ing pist off and wana punch the head manager of bp in the face till he starts chuckin up free fuel grrrrrr
  22. well depends what tap it comes out of and how aged the pipes carrying through the area are haha
  23. my old boss had to fork out roughly 10k on his rb30 block but that had block strengthening done to it as they prone on cracking plus depends what brand you're using, also you're getting it all prepped for the forgies to go in, so yeah i'd say maybe not quite that but very close to it
  24. ah i thought it tastes like the fiz wiz sherbet mixed with soda water, quite a delicasy indeed hahaha
