so close to having to tow my car Anyone else pull up at a bp tonight only to find the 98 pumps had sorry out of order tags over them. Yeah i was on boarder line empty and being south of the river theres hardly any close to each other, Drove to 5 different bp's before finding a caltex for their 98 fuel, just coz their prices are going up tomorrow doesnt mean they can shut off supply to much needed fuel

haha ah i got ya now, yeah ill just drop it back to 10 for now, i got a gt35r going on later so ill need to upgrade comp and tune so ill wait till then to do that, cheers for the help fellas
-
yeah im still runnin standard ecu but like i said, my 32 handled 14psi easy and that was all standard in terms of ecu, injectors etc, as for the surge itself, it feels like im stabbin the clutch every couple of secs till i hit anything over 4k, mysterys, gota love'm aye
-
ah k after hearin his side i remove my last comment
-
mmmm ive heard that standard coil packs fail under higher than 10psi boost, now its not a constant prob, its only every 2-3secs under full load under 4k rpm i forgot ive only got 5 splitfires and one standard coil
-
yeah it is, i mean the car takes 9psi lovely, takes 10 even better but if i squeeze the throttle and make 11 too early, and the ghost has pushed my clutch pedal theres no tune on the car, and my only mods are 3" tbe, front mount, manual boost cont, splitfires and a pod mmmm indeed aye

mmm ive had a 180 come into my workshop before, for the same prob, oil feed lines blocked now because it was a gradual wear on the cam, the oil didnt show signs of metal shavings sounds to me like they've given your sr a "bloody hard time" and done what my mate did who kept his engine above 7000rpm alot of the time, that resulted in the start of a knock which ended up a loud very disturbing knock and the car wouldnt even hold idle all up i'd say their f#@k up for sure

Rb25 (s2) Boost Spike *yes I Did A Search!*
TAKUSHI replied to toffy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
is the dillemma im having the same as yours? i just started a post bout a similar prob but dunno if its the same thing as yours mmm almost wonder if its a knock sensor going on the fritz if it reads out of line and measures a phantom knock then it might give the ecu a faulty reading -
any one experienced what im getting? k now ive just recently wound my boost up to 11psi and when im pushing my car from down low, it hits 11psi and if my rpm is below 4k its like it cuts out and comes back to life very quickly, almost like you're giving the clutch a good ol poke, as soon as the rpm is above 4k it holds 11psi fine and doesnt miss a beat, now its already got split fires, but im almost wondering if the fuel pump or injectors arent delivering enough fuel. im still running factory injectors and sadly the ceffys na auto rb20e fuel pump, boss tells me fuel pump will still deliver required fuel pressure so im unsure, im picking up an 040 soon so i guess ill find out. the one thing that is making me reconsider that its a fuel prob is that my old factory rb20 skyline held 14psi no probs and never let me down, i mean that felt like it had more poke than my 25 any one shed any light on my problem cheers nath

ohhhh shame to hear buddy, come this far and now it stops, damn
-
duuude lovin the twin pipes, so you're still running the muffler that comes directly after the cat yeah? ive recently fallen for 100's but im not currently finacially cut out for that and my ceffy sweet ride though
-
well you need to find out which wires coming from your body control module are for tacho signal, temp sender signal, oil light signal, ecu power supply and i cant quite rememeber if you need one for injector power too, i fit my engine myself but my old boss did my wiring and i didnt pay too much attention to it, all i know is i have the basics hooked up to make the engine run and not give me any hassles hope that helps in a way
-
ah yeah ive just lined up the mani over the current one and see what you mean, cheers for the help fellas

as above, im looking at fitting a greddy plenum to my 25 and figured, hey 26's use a forward plenum, can i use aftermarket gtr piping from throttle body to intercooler instead of having to get something custom made, ill be using standard 25 throttle body still Much help will be good as i plan to fit it across christmas break, and being the jolly season, everyone else will be busy or not open, for pipe work
-
yeah no worries dude, will have pics up as soon as its done, probly wont be for a bit yet as im going to get the whole car resprayed in oooh cherry black, cant wait, haha sweet ride btw must have taken a fair while to polish up all those parts
-
mmm and the theoretical power figures keep looking better, ive just run a check on the supposed gt30's part number and instead of finding gt30 i get gt3582r so now im even more anxious to get this baby on and give her a wurl aaalso, this week some time, body kit will be going in for repairs then car will go in for kit to be painted and fitted, i will have pics up once this is done
-
well yeah im a mechanic myself so if i was to get the parts i can fit them no probs
-
mmm yeah starting to sound like the better option i dunno
-
hi all Im after a place that might sell already made coolant and oil lines to suit high mount garrett turbos, ive been told to ring enzed but i'd rather the hassle free option of just buying a complete kit so i can get installation underway, my mate bought a universal kit but it still has to be modded to suit his engine, im not too keen on the ebay kits either as ive heard they leak. Any help on the matter would be great

haha dam looks like that one takes the cake, i mean shit, a 1.5kg patty thats probably the entire weight of the burger my mate was trying to eat
-
hahahahahahahaha oh it was pretty much like that, i was hoping he was gonna chuck but no he held it down haha
-
yeah my thoughts exactly itztru, and yeah diet coke haha thats what my boss said when he saw it
-
cost him 21.25 all up with a small coke and fries haha yeah ive done the pounder myself once, 12.45 for a large meal, never again though
-
well it was just another regular arvo with my mates and by about 7ish we started feeling quite hungry, one of my mates how ever was a little too hungry and decided to make this. shown below is a burger that because of its sheer size had to be served without wrapping it, it was originally a triple cheese burger then was going to have another 7 slices of meat and cheese added, instead it was made with a total of 15 slices of meat and cheese. Now of course he'd already eaten prior to this so it was not finished but the reaction on the poor burger boys face, when he was told it wasnt a miss printed order, was priceless. And so the tower of grease was born. Ill never forget the counter chick asking him will want a knife and fork with that........bon appetit

picked up wonder copy off a previous owner, has a few cracks here and there so it'll need fibre glassing and painting but once its fitted ill post up some pics still no movement on turbo installation, still trying to save money up for additional parts, sucks earning apprentice wages haha, ill be qualified by the end of the year so hopefully i can get the ball moving and finish this off Once turbo's on im going to fit greddy style intake plenum and possibly cams too, seeing as my timing belts due might aswell get cams, belt and water pump all out the way, plus my cam cover seals are starting to leak so why the hell not aye
