Mate all you have to do is email him, tell him what car you have (Remember you must refer to your car as an infiniti G35 coupe or sedan depending on what you have including the year model) and also the part that you need. You don't really need the part number.

what do you guys think of this product by meguiars? The one thing i am concerned about with these plastic products is that they contain a fine abbrasive texture like sand. We know that it will get rid of the yellow cloudy stuff on the outside however will they leave swirl marks in the plastic??? In saying this i have always trusted meguiars products. I have that clay brick kit which works excellent. Hey Andy thanks. Im just concerned because i have seen a few threads on american forums about a faulty bose radio draining energy even when the car is turned off. It drains enough energy to make the battery go dead within 4 days. Apparently there is a fault in the head unit that causes this.

I agree with you Chris, however i dont know anyone in the industry but you get my gist yea. I mean come on we are talking about a difference of $1015, thats alot of dough. Hey Chris just a quick question i had a dead battery a couple of weeks ago which you might be aware of as i created a thread about the stalling thing. I asked my auto electrician whether something was draining my battery. He detected that a component on the car was draining 0.02 either volts or amps not to sure how you measure it. He said not to worry about it as it is not ebough to drain the battery. Would that be right? How long would it take to make the battery go dead. cheers mate

It was making a noise when cranking the car in the morning like a crunching sound. Anyway i got a quote for a new one from nissan, $1490.00, stuff that. Ohh talking about draining batteries has anyone seen those articles on the infiniti forums about our bose radio systems drawing enough energy to drain the battery over a period of 4 days? Apparently what happens is even when the system is manually turned off with the car turned off the radio draws energy from the battery. I can't remember exactly what the thread said but it was either related to a fault in the headunit itself or the amplifier located in the boot. I wouldn't mind looking into this as it can be tested to see whether the radio is drawing a certain amount of energy by hooking a meter up to the fuse box where indicated "radio" is that right Chris?

Thanks mate ill give it a go, worst case scenario i will have to take it to Nissan. Spoke to a nissan representative and they can fix it by hooking it up to the computer and tuning it. Can you believe they charge $122 per hour.

hi bilistic, Did you have your battery disconnected more than 24 hours? I can understand the ecu learning your driving habbits however how does it learn not to stall on hot start ups by reving it are you sure this worked? and did it stall at the beginning when you had your battery changed? I can't understand why it doesnt stall on cold start ups???

Nope plugs were replaced 2 months ago. It only happens on hot starts, its all normal when the engine is cold. This is because when the engine is hot it does not need to rev high, revs drop instantly to about 600rpm as normal. Stuff it im going to take it to nissan, i bet you its the ecu that needs to be programmed. Remember the ecu regulates the idle, and a thousand other things. Hi Chris not to sure. I have been doing some research on a few infiniti websites and sourced another person that had the same problem. He referred to the procedure on how to reset the ecu, throttle pedal release and idle air volume learning and it seemed to have resolve his issue so i might give that a go. Its definitely not an immobiliser problem as for starters the car would not even turn on. Apparently the battery of the car was disconnected overnight so it reset the ecu however the auto electrician didn't teach the ecu which regulates the idle etc.

Hi guys, Battery went flat a few days ago, battery is about 6 years old as it is an 03 model. Battery cells were gone. Had the battery replaced. Went to the petrol station to fill up about 3 km's down the road. Locked the car then unlocked. Went to start the car and the rpm's went up as normal then dropped which lead the car to turn off. Oil, battery and engine light came on. Second attempt same symptoms. Third attempt turned on however this time the rpm completely dropped just above 0 then all of the sudden went back to 700rpm drove off as car was running. On the third attempt it almost sounded like the car wanted to turn off. Got home locked the car and left it locked for about an hour, i again attempted to turn the car on same thing engine turned on, rpm dropped all the way and turned off. Please help my auto electrician does not know what is wrong with the car, it is the first time he has worked on a car like this. Kind Regards Yianni

I have one other question to ask which has nothing to do with the topic however i think it is important that everyone knows. There is a common problem with our cars in relation to the rocker cover (other name for this is valve seat). My mechanic performed a replacement of the spark plugs and at the bottom of the tube there was evidence of oil. It was on the second bank (when you face the bonnet on the right hand side. The spark plug closest to the firewall had the leak. Has anyone noticed this yet? Apparently the rocker cover has to be replaced, but the good thing is it is something that doesn't have to be done asap as you do not lose tonnes of oil only a very little bit. Personally im going to wait till it gets worse and have my mechanic monitor it on every service. Cheers

Relax people i investigated this noise a long time ago however i haven't performed the procedure on my car yet, next service. Replacement of parts is not necessary other that the bolts and washers. Give this to your mechanic to prevent him from stuffing around. All that needs to be done is have the axle retorqued and greased where shown on the diagram. axle_clicking_noise.pdf
