i went to my local shoe shop and thay said to use the water protectant stuff on the suede. I also bought a suede brush. I would recommend it

what product is everyone using for their leather? Im using meguiars leather protectant is that any good?? I heard that saddle care products are the best but not to sure if it is to strong for auto leather. any recommendations?

I decided to chop those stinking 2 pieces of steel that hold the jap plates in place. I got the saw out and chopped them off, it looks so much better now. Anyone done theirs yet?

probably not because if you have a look at the gauges they are sort of molded into the dash.

I was just thinking about what nissan could of done better to the car to make it look more beasty?? One thing caught my eye, and that was the SPEED GAUGE, REV GAUGE, TEMP GAUGE AND FUEL GAUGE. They should of made them look like the nissan fuga, they look like porsche gauges. Each Gauge has individual partitions. Why can't the japs make it universal for once. They know that eventually these vehicles will be exported to Australia. They should have an option on the screen to convert to english.

Where do i go to get my Nav converted in Sydney? Another thing i have the DVD Rom which is in the glove box, this displays DVD ROM ONLY, can i play japanese DVD's using this Rom as i borrowed one from someone???

Thats pretty inconvenient to do all that to just change parker lights, all other cars are simply to put your hand in there, remove and install

I bought some white LED lights for the front parkers as the stock one come out yellow. Cant get access to the damn thing to remove the bulb. Any suggestions?

Coming to think of it and describing the exact noise i wound't say its a grinding noise. Think of a spring recoiling thats what it sounds like.

LOL, it seems to be normal because one guy had an 07 model coupe and with only 10Kilometres on the clock had the same thing. Also everyone is experiencing it.

Everyone that has a 2003 coupe might experience this. I started my car this morning usually let it idle for 5 mins to warm up. When i took off doing under 10km/h the car changed from 1st to second. I got this grinding/ recoil noise from the front. After that it didnt happened. I stopped and tried it again nothing even when changing gears on the highway. Second time started it up after 5 hours put it into DRIVE, drove under 10km/h changed 1st to 2nd same thing grind for a split second then nothing. Im a member of the G35 club in the USA, asked them questions and there were even threads regarding this matter. Apparently its the ABS initialising and doing a check. Some of the guys own 05, 06 & 07 models. They said it happened to theirs after only having 1000km/h on the clock. So it must be the ABS checking. There are probably a dozen threads on this problem and all the guys said its normal. Anyone experiencing this?

We need to start a thread about common problems so we are aware of them when they arise. Does any one know of any common problems with these vehicles?? E.G. TRANSMISSION, ENGINE, A/C, ELECTRONICS ......

My cars specs says that it has down shift matching. What does this mean??? I didn't know this but when you accelerate and take your foot off the accelerator to stop at a traffic light the engine down shifts and sort of assists to brake so you don't have to apply the brake as much. Any one found that to?

even to double check i called nissan japan and spoke to someone who could speak english. And they confirmed that it was nissan j matic

I am going to make up some products such as stainless steel keyrings and coffee flasks that say Skyline 350GT on them. I haven't come up with the pattern im going to use, but skyline will be in chrome, 350 will be in red and GT will be in chrome. Also have to work prices out first once the supplier informs me. It looks like a beast and definately is one because its going to boast 325Kw of power. It looks really sleek and modern. Those air pockets near the bonnet are sick and the dual quad exhaust looks fat. When do you think they will start importing these to australia once they are launched in japan?

If i call nissan up with that oil filter part number will they know what it is? Or would it be under a different part number for nissan but exactly the same?

I am with Waz all the way on that one. I am the type of person who likes to maintain things just for peace of mind, and also to prevent less wear and tear. This all results in a very smooth ride.

Yes i understand all that, but the 2003 coupe automatic gearbox is not a CVT. The CVT is only in the sedan version also known as the CVT-8. The info you have provided, infiniti manuals and also talking to a rep confirms that this is the correct fluid for the coupe as they do not run CVT's.
