  1. yeh I see that too, so I am wondering if thats where its leaking from if so - anyone got a link etc on how to replace that seal ? thanks
  2. yeah I think it might be coming out of that shaft area where I was pointing in one of the pics. I have just degreased it and will inspect it again in a few days. it does not seem to be losing engine oil , and Yes I agree it seems to be flicked around by the shaft hence my thoughts that it could be the seal on the shaft I was pointing to.
  3. Ok .. finally got under the Stag to take pics of a Transmission leak that seems to be getting worse I took some pics and I think I know where its leaking from but need some confirmation from those smarter and more experienced than me. Have a look and tell me what you think ok ? Thanks in advance.
  4. a very delicious price at that! thank you kind sir
  5. Check your PM's I have a reaplacement if you need
  6. I just got the Just Jap kit cause it fitted my budget - was ALMOST " plug and play" dont get me wrong .. I just had to custom make some brakets etc
  7. anyone seen this unit lately? I wouldnt mind doing a drive by and seeing how much warning I get.
  8. I got the just jap kit and its fine not 100% direct fit , but then again what is? the oil filter relocation kit would be ACE! its a hard spot to get to and yeah leaks oil all over the place when you change the filter, then you need to go and clean it with Degreaser once the new filter is back on again. As far as the trans cooler goes , you MIGHT have to replace that. I went thru a bit of head scratching and ended up getting a PWR kit and replacing the original oil cooler. I was worried that replacing the factory oil cooler with a thinner PWR one would not be good enough , but the car has not missed a beat since - and - the aircon is MUCH cooler , must have something to do with the fact that it does not have the big chunky oil cooler in the way. The PWR one is much more thin.
  9. Was chatting to Nick from www.radars.com.au and he recently tested a high power IR LED and found it did nothing to " confuse " the laser locking onto your car. He didnt test it with a camera attached to the laser , just a laser gun , but yeh I dont think its going to do much against the new Poliscans. So in other words dont waste any $ on IR LED's
  10. Well I think a EMP might be getting a bit too agresive , also don't forget depending on strength you can screw up other things near by. And I think the police would ass rape you if they caught you messing with their brand new cash cow!! IR LEDs mmm not sure but I think that's how the laser hammers work now ? Someone correct me if I am wrong
  11. Yeah I know - never had a problem with mine!
  12. Yeah the jammer comment was not aimed at you but the other person that asked I am just too dumb/lazy to do multi quotes thats the same radar detector I have!! so many people bag em hey?
  13. Hey Bubba what detector are you using? Oh and in regards to the Jamers , basically the device will send out the Jamming signal then physically turn itself off for a certain period of time. So if the cop goes for a second reading they *should * get your propper speed.
  14. Hence the reason I put it in the Western Australia section
  15. Nope! Painted green. They are fairly large but I think they will be targeting more the multi lane roads , so you have to think of other cars in the inside lane blocking your vision.
  16. thanks man thats JUST the kind of info I am chasing. If you got 100m warning for laser then I guess if the camera is operating at its furthest range then you will only get 25 m warning, not that much at all hey? From what I can gather this is going to differ from the handheld Laser guns as the Poliscan will probably wait for you to get closer then take the photo? With a cop he can ping you a good distance away then just pull you over when he sees you get closer. Does anyone know if they are going to decomission the Multinovas and replace them with the Poliscan units or are they going to ship the Multinovas off to country towns? If they decomission the Multinovas then its going to change the focus of what people will be looking for on Radar detectors, before it was good KA band detection, now Laser might be more what you want a detector to be good at.
  17. ahaha.. sponsored by Coopers Pale ale! My kinda MAN!!! But I far prefer the sparkling ale I am more interested in the technical / real world side of things. Like how much notice will you get, will you get ANY notice if you have passed it Oh well just need to wait till a few more people go thru it when its " live "
  18. oh and apparently revenue is going up from something like $40 or $48 million to over $100 Million
  19. Looking at the specs the Operatiional Range is 15-75m , so it will be interesting to see what range people are detecting it at ( on Radar Detectors ) , if you are getting 200m warning then at least it gives you a bit of time to slow down,
  20. Laser Jammers supposedly do work , but apparently only certain models work. I dont claim to be an expert on these things, but definately want to learn more.
  21. why not install a driveway monitor? I have one across my driveway and it even picks up my cat going past. Its not going to stop your car getting stolen but at least you will have an idea that there are people about. PM me if you need any more info ok ? thanks
  22. Guys and gals Just thought I would start a new thread to discuss the new Poliscan multi lane speed cameras. I just had a read of the PDF document that states its features etc, and WOW , pretty amazing (amazing in a " you're totally screwed " kind of amazing ) As I am sure you are all aware its now run off Laser ( LIDAR?) so if your existing Radar Detector picks up Laser really well then you at least have SOME warning. I went thru one that was being tested over the weekend, the radar detector went nuts but didnt give me much warning at all. Discuss?? Poliscan___speed_camera_poliscan_speed_03.pdf
  23. I have one for sale if you are chasing one
  24. what width and offset are they? I wonder if they will fit an s15
  25. I have and S15 and definately prefered the physical size of one over the r34. r34 has traction control ( at least my mates did ) s15 does not The RB is definately a smoother motor, but I have a soft spot for the old SR I think the SR will be better on fuel etc. So that might be a consideration
