  1. Cheers bloke. Shouldnt be too long now
  2. Roughly what kind of time is required on the dyno to get one of these doovas working properly. I have read about 1.5 to 2 hours yeah?
  3. Top thread. I have all the usual bag of fruit, pod, exhaust, fmic, gtr pump, boost controller etc. An SAFC is next. Cheers for all the info thus far.
  4. Yeah, i had ordered one for a mate as per his request a few days ago, and my bit came with it.
  5. The little ball rectified it. Works like everyone on her has said it would. All is well. Onlyset to 9 at the moment. Will have a play with plugging the hole up versus having the hole and get her to about 11,12 ish and see how she goes.
  6. would be correct in assuming that in these bloody things there is supposed to a high tencile spring anda little ball??? Cause i just pulled it apart for the first time after trying everything to get it to work and there is no flaming ball in the end of it!!!! WTF!!!!
  7. Certainly am. Whom may u be kind sir? Reckon that hole is part of my drama. Will post the result when i get to it
  8. Well i got an auto, so i aint worried about lag between gear changes Will plug it up and see what happens
  9. So does anyone know what the point of the hole on in it is for? What would happen if i make it bigger or get rid o it all together?
  10. Am i correct in assuming that the hole in it helps it spool up quicker between gear changes. Cause mine being an auto, there is no throttle lift off as such that would require it to need such a function. Would plugging the hole reduce the 5/6 pound drop that i am experiencing? I read thru the first few pages of this thread (waaay to many to read for a lazy bastard like me) and noticed that the early ones didnt have a hole. Also, would a faulty spring in the guts of it have this kind of impact?
  11. I just put mine in and it isnt too bad. Only drama is that it bounces to 12/13psi (as it set at the moment), then as it climbs thru the rev range, it does taper away down to 9/10psi. Anyone else encountered a drop of that much? I had read that at the most around 1 psi drop is usual. And whats the point of the hole in the actual device? ANYWAY, it works awesome as it is. Has totally transformed the car (its auto), it has so much more oomph cause it comes on soo much quicker. Awesome little device
  12. Hey guys and girls, Gonna throw that Turbotech (i got a 22 dollar boost controller!) device into my heap tomorrow and i just thought i would pose a bit of a general question. What tools and bits and pieces should i have when doing it? I assume a bunch of cable ties (always need them), pliers, hose clamps. Possibly a knife if things get difficult. And obviously an allen key and a small spanner to adjust on the fly. Have i missed anything? One of the hoses is held on by a hose clamp, the other is simply shoved in. Any tips for removing offending rubber hoses that dont wanna co-operate? Cheers, Chris
  13. Yeah the whole assembly minus the actual pulley and the bolt the sits in it horizontally. Nissan quoted me 92 bucks for 2 plastic spacers, anothert bolt, a retainer and a hex nut... I am hoping to do it for a bit cheaper than that though.
  14. Mine had the same humming just before we replaced with a gates one and new tensioner and idle pulley. With the new bits on, no noise what so ever.
  15. I had an idle pulley bearing sh!t itself, changed the bearing and lost all the bolts that hold the assembly in place... Thru my travels i have located a new bolt that sits thru the pulley itself horizontally, but cant find the vertical one. (Have I lost anyone yet?) Can i just whack any old bolt into the base of the horizontal bolt? With few washers to push the pulley out will that be suffice? Would these bits be available thru my local nissan dealer? I dont spose anyone has bought one (any) recently and knows what the cost is/could be. Cheers, Chris
  16. Whats wrog with the coils mate? Are they spiltfires?
  17. As was told to me when i asked the questions ages ago, stage 1 is for towing caravans and the like stage 2 is a performance valve body and recommended for the skyrine As to putting one on yourself, very messy from what i have read but reasonably straight forward. mPull the pan off, drain fluid, pull old valve body off and replace with new shiny one, pan back on. I am gonna give this a go
  18. Group buy still on??? Anyone inquired about a stage 3? Of course tomorrow is good friday so i wont be able to call til prob tuesday ish
  19. Didnt see the group buy Will have a look. Thanks for that mate. Appreciate the help
  20. Does anybody know wether it would fit a series1 94 sedan?
  21. Awesome shifter. I want the same thing. If u dont mind me asking u, how much was the elec device and stage 2 kit worth together versus a stage 3? How did you wire up the o/d on a ratchet shifter? How difficult was it to get into place? I imagine that your set up is the same as a full manual one, but did it affect anything like an increase in revs at certain speeds. Eg, atm 100klms is 2650ish revs. If i go full manual set up jobby, i dont think that this would change PS - Cheers for your input dude
