  3. I am due for an oil change in about a month or so. My rb25 will have 174 000 kays on it when its next due. What oils have those of u with high kilometre engines out there used? My intention was to use Shell Helix Ultra again.

  7. My personal preference is no wing with flush fitting boot. Man that works for me.
  8. Hey all, does anybody know if the the tension pulley assembly for the a/c out of an r31 rb20et fit into an rb25? By, assembly i mean the bolts that sit vertically and horizontally thru tension/idle pulley. Have a feeling that it will, but i just wanna know if someone knows for sure before i buy something that i possibly wont be able to use. Cheers, Chris
  9. 0.8 is the way to go.
  10. I will have a look at it tomorrow arvo. Cheers for that.
  11. I have nothing but good things about them if you have light mods and auto (which is me). Its sitting here on my loungeroom floor waiting for me to get into gear and shove it.
  12. Damn. No good mate. Glad no one was hurt. I bet next time you make roadkill outta something that jumps in front of ya.
  13. Parked flat. I moved it back and forth a number of time this mornin before leaving for work and then leaving for home and couldnt fault it...
  14. As the topic title says, i heard a really loud thud when pulling the auto outta park into reverse. Did it twice in a row, then i couldnt make it do it again (which is prob a good thing). Did a bit of a search and couldnt really find anything on this at all. The noise itself sounds like it was actually come the rear half of the car. It pulled straight into reverse, there was no slippage, but i am not ruling out a slipping reverse clutch band. Has me hood winked as to what it is, and i know stuff like this doesnt just go away. Any help or any ideas as to what i should have a look at would be appreciated. Cheers, Chris
  15. BUMP. Back up for sale. Been stuffed around, please only serious buyers. Txt my mob 0410 594 978, i will respond. Cheers, Chris
  16. Interstate for me is about 2000km south to NSW or god knows how far west across to NT. Interstate driving just doesnt occur for me, i will fly if i have to go. Another thing i will add is that I am 6 foot 5, sitting in any car for a few hours is of great discomfort. Therefore it doesnt happen
  17. My 33 sedan is daily driven. 400 kays a week to work and back. Then are the weekend drives that I always go on. Last year i made at least a dozen 1400km round trips from Mackay to Cairns (Northern Queensland) to see the girlfriend. I would just as easily drive my car to work as I would take it into town onto sat night, or run to the 24hr servo at 3 in the morning and get a hotdog. I want a nice car that actually gets driven. I have specifically chosen to lightly modify mine so it still has an element of drivability to it. Others I know that have gone all out on their car, drive herds of rubbish to work each day, then drive their hi-po car on the weekend. I get to drive mine all the time. Makes complete sense to me. Bloody ripper topic, very good to see other 'liners take the same attitude to their car as I do.
  18. How much lower than standard are they? U have a pic of em in a car?
  19. o thank christ for that. Money and i arent know to each other at the moment so thats awesome
  20. For me, its not a waste. There will be no petrol in 50 years, so i figure i might as well do it now. Plus i dont have kids, i am not married (but i have a steady girl who is constantly reminding me that i should be wastin money on her instead), i dont have a house to pay off. Half the fun is doing the work on the car yourself. Then there is scrimping and saving like crazy to be the bits and pieces you want. The arguements with the girlfriend about not taking her to the movies. Is it worth it? I will let ya know when i eventually get into the 12's
  21. Left the hole in it. Hits full boost almost as soon as u sink the boot in. Set to 11psi atm, will have it dyno'd soon etc and i will see how go.
  22. I just wanted a set and forget sort of thing. Bit of jinin around to get it to where i want it. Plus as listed above, i dont want all sorts of lights and things buzzing around the joint. Probably gimme a headache lol
  23. If it falls thru i will offer 75 and my old man will pick it up tomorrow (i am in cairns - he is brisbane)
  24. Turbotech. 40 bucks delivered to door. Had a few dramas with it at first, but is tops. Holds boost well good. Takes 20 secs to install. For me it was a heaps smarter idea than getting some electronic device 10+ times more expensive
