  8. Paid for my accomodation this evening as well. Hows everyone going with their entries and accomodation? Ruby, have you found a place to crash yet? People who have already paid/lodged entry form : Aberax, Dohmar, Nightcrawler, SLED, Krishy Unconfirmed : Dark.Sky, Hostile, Inline6, LukeENR34, RubyRS4 Provided all listed are still coming, we should have a 9 car display, a big ass tent, a banner and a couple of nissan flags and thanks to the miracles of nextG we can even keep sau posted as the day goes on ;P -D
  9. Cool. just got back from the post office - my form and money order is on its way how is everyone else getting on with their entries? remember, there is a late fee after the 17th... -D
  10. fusible link corrosion possibly -D
  11. Ahh that clears that up No worries. Theres only a couple people interested in the lunch thing for either day, so I might just do the breakfast. No doubt there will be hotdog stands at the show like there was last year. If enough people from the party say that they'd want me to do lunch for them, i can do that - as it stands tho it looks like we'd all be best off doing our own thing for lunch, cause I'll probably wander back to the hotel in the arvo and have a power nap, and there will be many food vendors there which will no doubt be well made (and saves me the logistics) -D
  12. Fliggy, are you entering your car or just coming along to see the display? -D
  13. props to the 2.4lt turbocharged sigma too sigma was the car i learnt to drive on and got into the most crashes with (haha) top little car, I wish I had a turbo version back in the day, but once I went from the sigma to an r31, I was hooked on the skylines -D
  14. nah no bogan, im not into incest i do like aussie muscle tho.. xu1/slr5000 toranas, chargers, xb/xc fords...never got into monaros tho... i also like american muscle (57' thunderbirds, 67 camaros, corvettes, pontiacs firebird & fieros etc) they're the exception to the rule sadly, most australian (and american) cars are utter garbage. much to my chagrin. -D Edit - and while I detest 4wd's, f150s/250's are quite ruggedly over-engineered
  15. That looks tough as hell. I want one. -D
  16. U know Joel? Was at a wedding tonite with the dude, friend of a friend. My company just happen to be internode partners too > (8 years with node and counting, love the service) -D
  17. Who gives a shit? As far as I'm concerned, the business of any man and woman is their own, especially in the privacy of their own bedroom - what business is it of mine, or anyone else, as to what goes on in another persons life - f**kING ZERO!.... only religious dickheads and politicians seem to give 2 shits about what others get up to, usually because they are taught to be sexually and emotionally repressed - and such folk usually get exposed eventually as being morally corrupt in either case. I love lesbians and I'm pro abortion, because as far as I'm concerned, a womans body is her own private, personal property and she can do whatever the hell she wants, AND theres enough frigging people on this planet as it is, let alone to bring another unwanted kid into this world. If we have some dude who has the balls to step up to the plate and put a motoring enthusiasts opinion on the table, then good. But dont for one second expect to have a niche, fundamentalist religious bullshit agenda put on his plate, or any others for that matter. This is the 21st century, we live in a free society, and we are free to believe what we want. f**k you if you don't agree. Back on topic - I think this man has an admirable agenda, however he needs a decent PR person and a decent web designer -D
  18. unless u take a punt, you wont ever know come along or die. -D
  19. Saw petes old gtr heading west on grand junction road at the hampstead road intersection, and then about 5 seconds later a white 33 heading north i was in a fooly sik corolla seca -D
  20. Rofl, +1 for node ;D -D
  21. spotted '34 gtr' at an undisclosed carpark in marleston. very nice rims -D
  22. At 6k a second he'd be using ANSI modulation - which is unsupported by most ISP's. G.DMT is the standard modulation type for most, ADSL2 and 2+ have their own modulation extensions, such as Annex M and the like. For what its worth, I'd turn the router off for 30 minutes and then turn it back on - sometimes that will cause the exchange to do a full retrain on the adsl synch when it comes back online... And the router can generally be found by opening up a command prompt and typing ipconfig /all - whichever is your default gateway is usually the modem router (unless you have a windows or linux gateway) -D
  23. lol footwear clause = 'we dont like this f**ker' was probably sod all to do with ur footwear, they probably just didnt want u in for some reason or another bouncers are dickheads. -D
  24. Yep. $20k i've spent on the GTR so far over the last 2 years. This does not count petrol or carloan, but it counts, raa, insurance, servicing, mechanical mods/replacements/upgrades, speeding fines etc. I won't be selling it. I plan to be riding this car for the next 20 years... probably will get written off by some tossarse whos not paying attention, but fingers crossed it lives as long as I do.... one of the customers at my mechanics is in his 50's, has had the same XB ford falcon with an intercooled supercharger since he bought it brand new as a young man.... I drool over it, even if the paint is shit and there are some ugly bits - its ghetto porn; naturally Im not gonna let mine get that bad, and there are more improvements planned yet, but its all a matter of money - no matter how much I earn, its never enough ;P Dunno about that, speak to koji at japanese import spares in windsor gardens, he has damn near everything (and hes gotten me some great prices on door seals which I may go for depending on lukes contacts -D
  25. I've never heard that before, however there is a certain logic in that - the bubble only occurs when the glue deforms and the external layer separates from the framework - if you have a dash that is 20 years old already and hasnt separated, then chances are it'll be fine (touch wood - environmental factors notwithstanding) Theres a guide on here on how to fix the dash but tbh I couldnt be stuffed doing it. I may end up getting an auto trimmer to redo my entire interior and they could probably reuse my old bubbly dash, remove the exterior (or cut and re-glue it) and then recoat the surface with lacquer, repaint etc.. My main issue atm is lacquering the hard upper weather strip - replacements cost $600 per side, so I'm hoping some resin will fill in the cracks and I can paint it gloss black to match the external surround -D
