I'll be driving those alpine roads in less than 12 months time! Hopefully in a Ferrari 575M manual if the Aussie dollar continues to perform well
Keep the good times rolling!!!
Man, this thing is awesome!
I see you have moved on from the fear of further police 'inspections'... Touch wood it doesnt happen again!
Did you lose any power going to the smaller diameter exhaust? Or need to retune it?
Anyway looking forward to seeing the results of the new install!!!
Dman, that's 1 hell of a cage! The thing will be super stiff - might be able to run softer spring rates... Like a Lotus... ok, maybe not a Lotus heeeee
That's some mad aero... love it! Canards, lips, diffusers, wings, sills = the burger with the lot! And that's your daily?!?! Madness... I have a Ford Fiesta XR4 as a daily, now that's a daily! Jealous? I guess not
These will be coming off the car in about 2 weeks and then they'll live at Racepace in Baywaters for viewing.
Excellent condition rims and tyres with minimal kms!!!
Your chance to buy light weight hollow spoke Japanese made rims fitted with sports tyres that'll travel as easy 20,000kms before requiing replacement and all for around $2k
For Sale: AVS Model 6 18x10 +24 with 265/35 Hankook S1 evo!

The tyres have about 5500kms on them - 2 years ago and where fitted new when the rims were purchased. I'd say they are about 75% good so plenty of life left in them.

Hey guys,
I bought an R33 GTR recently and it came with several standard fitment parts. The turbos are in good condition (visual inspection) but given there age and unknown history I'd say best suited to a highflow or rebuild project. Came off at 80,000kms 2 years ago. Car is a 1995 GTR. Actuators included.
VIC buyers first - may send if none here (they are boxed up and ready to go afterall!)
Price: $550 ono
Please contact me via PM or email [email protected] or call 0412 015 906.
Cheers

Guys the BR series is actually quite good - sufficient travel, huge range of damping adjustability and good build quality. I have used them for 12 months and plenty of track days without any issues (on an Evo...)
The spring rates may be 8 and 6 but with decent damping it actually rides quite well on all bar the sharpest bumps (where my std Evo suspension was also crap). If anything i find that once on teh track they are way too soft!
Good luck
LOL... i havent heard or seen that before.
I have run BC Type BR coilovers for over 12 months and done a probably 8 or 9 track days. They are fairly soft once you go the track - spring rates could be a lot stiffer! - however on teh road they are great. The travel is enough that it never lifts wheels - very important some you you 2 wheel drive guys!
On damper settings 5-10 its comfortable on all but the sharp bumps and on 20-25 its good at speed with sufficient damping to controll the car under brakes on the throttle and at any speed.
Best of all they are cheap and have 12 month thingy - bonus!
I'd say with the kind of Power you have and the frequency you plan to drive it on the street = semi slick territory.
S-comp tyres are still along way from R-comps. Toyo R888 are R-comp and a lot cheaper than RE's. You can get a set of 235/45R17s for $1300-ish + delivery from St George Tyres in Sydney (found them on ebay too).
I run RE55s on my Evo and have completed about 9 track days with about 1 or 2 to go before they are dead. So you will get 10 track days from them - the Evo may not spin the tyres like the Lines but it does scrubs them bad from sliding or bloody understeering so they still get a good work out!
If you wanna go fast, get R-comps fullstop. If you wanna be quick and lap times arent that important then go with the S-comps.
Good luck
