  1. Hey nice colour! I like the kit. I have yet to see another one like mine in Bayside blue in NZ.
  2. ...and that is with a boot loaded to the top of the seats. Like everyone, I still open it up now and then! BTW. This is a non-turboed RWD 25RS.
  3. I have been through that problem - thats a whole new thread here - but to cut a long story short, we had all the coils replaced which cured our problem. Tons of information on these pages. BTW. My car averages 9.6L/100km at open road cruising. For a 68L tank that calculates at an optimistic 700km/tank , but I often get over 650km per tank.
  4. After replacing my O2 sensor, I have managed to get 600k out of 62L. Mostly highway driving, but a couple of days of town and around also. (Previously got 13L/100k with a busted O2 Sensor). Works out at pretty much 9.7L/100k for the trip, with a fully loaded boot and a car full of family. At today's petrol prices for BP Ultimate in NZL, it now costs me $110 to fill from empty at $1.84/L. You guys in Oz are lucky!
  5. I have also found that the auto lights turn on too late. I found that by adding a layer or two of dark window tint film over the auto lights sensor, the lights will come on earlier, and lessen the flicking on/off effect going under bridges.
  6. Your english is great! Its right to the point. I am starting to think the same way! Very frustrating. I am holding off getting Splitfires.
  7. The car is only 7 years old and only at 75000 k's. Plugs are new, exhaust is standard, car is non-turbo so boost wont be an issue. Running on 98 (BP Ultimate). Warranty wont replace parts unlesss found faulty! I'm sure my mechanic will love me telling them what to do, but you guys have experienced this before, so I'm open to ideas. Cheers
  8. Thanks. My mechanic had checked them and was confident enough to need two replaced, but the warranty co. wanted them checked by their company, so they were shipped off without the car. I kind of expected that they wouldnt find any fault with the rest of them, and they didnt. Not sure if its because they are working for the warranty company or if they are too hard to test out of the car. I'm kind of losing faith with the whole process. Where to from now?
  9. Confusing! All this tells me, is that no-one actually knows how to "fix" the problem. Some have been successful, but others have found how to just mask the problem. My mechanic is absolutely stumped. I am pissing him off taking my car in every few days when the 'Check Engine' light comes on, and I'm getting impatient. The car is under a mechanical warranty, which covers faulty parts, but the mechanic cant find what is faulty. So far, two coils have been replaced, and all the others have been extensively tested (but not in the car - how does that work?) and the plugs have been replaced. I get the Check Engine light come on intermittently, and sometimes the car will idle roughly, like its dropped a cylinder. WTF is going on with these cars? I thought Nissans were reliable! Where do I go next? A 'For Sale' sign!?
  10. Thanks, but what about for a non-turboed version?
  11. I thought that too when I calculated 14-15L/100 for around town, but my highway figures turned out at 7.5L/100k, which could mean an optimistic 800km from a single tank. Must be all that stopping and starting stuck in traffic, pushing up the figures. Or maybe the missus is trying to take everyone on at the lights! Whats the best way to better the fuel consumption without driving like an old lady? Extractors and a big bore or a computer tweak?
  12. Now you are lucky. Over here in NZ where we pay about $1.65/L, it cost me just under $100 to fill up from empty, for about 300kms from the tank. That is for cruising aroung town. (~14-15L/100km). My highway figures are good though, at 7.5L/100km. All this from a non-turbo stock standard RWD.
  13. I agree with Leetom. This is completely relevant to this subject. This is where I came to get info before I bought my car, which I found very useful, since I knew nothing about the car before. Now I'm sharing my experiences, because I seem to have bought a Stagea which is different to you guys in Aussie. Let everyone else know about the consumption, power output, performance and different models of cars as well. By the way, it is rear whel drive only.
  14. Seems to have as much pull as a 2006 Maxima (3L V6), and about the same (nah, more than) my old 91 Primera. Enough for my budget! Cheers
  15. According to my car manual, it says it is 158kw for my non-turbo version. I think the older turbos put out 175kw and the later ones a little over 200kw. Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Stagea Yes, 14.8 does seem high, but I think it was because it was new and the missus was enjoying the power! Will test it again in the future.
