I live in brighton and my car was broken into while parked out the front of my house. unfortunately all you can do is reduce the chances of it happening. incidentally, my house / cars has only ever been broken into while there have been groups of teenager's/20 year olds living next door... 3 break-in's in the car and 2 in the house while they were here, and nothing ever before or after. Then when the house across the street was rented to a bunch of "generation why bother" scumbags the car got broken into again IMHO people hit the house next door as they are the last people to be looked at
