    Advice Needed

+1 for Magnas. Many of my friends have had one (or two) and my uncle loves them. He says he will never buy anything else. I guess he'll have to one day though if he wants brand new again. The only other thing as far as reliability goes would be a Camry, even though my mum had a lemon. Not sure what the prices/models (year) would be though. You can't take one or two examples of cars and say that they're all lemons. You'd have to look at previous owners, maintenance, etc.
  2. And make sure that your pockets ain't empty, cuz?
  3. Tuesday 7th April (for Melbourne) - it's in the first post.
  4. I'm fairly sure that's the desired effect - especially since it has DINOCO on the side. lol
  5. I don't think they'd like it if you were hooning around with actors - they'll probably only get you to drive a few kms (if that much). Just guessing. I'd love to see what Vin rocks up in.
  6. Not sure on where to get that stuff - but have you tried degreaser? I'm pretty sure that did the job for my 30+ year old car, sure as hell should work for you.
  7. Felt it when I was up in Phillip Island. I was on the phone to my sister at the time and she was in Rowville and we both felt it at pretty much exactly the same time. Was fun.
  8. I just hope that it's not for the same reasons as this event.
  9. Yeah, unfortunately I think I had the camera sitting in my car while I was helping pack things up. Was pretty awesome though. ^_^ Also, since I've already got one request - if anyone wants the full sized pictures of any pictures, PM me with which numbers they are and where you want me to send them to. E.g. DSC_0419
  10. Thanks for waiting guys. http://flickr.com/photos/rh1n0/sets/72157614597899225/ I was originally going to wait a little more before buying a Pro account, but you wouldn't have been able to see the first ~78 pictures without it - so I upgraded now. Enjoy all! And thanks to Ashneel and other organisers. I was just the man with the camera(s). I'll gladly be photoman for any future events. Something to keep in mind..
  11. I really can't be arsed blanking out people's number plates guys. The way I want to do it that doesn't distract from the beauty of the cars is way too time consuming for over 250 pictures. I'll just resize them and start uploading overnight (it will probably take that long) and post the link out in the morning if I am not still awake. Sorry for the delays.
  12. No cruise afterwards. We spent about an hour faffing about and packing everything up and then headed home. I was the one with the camera taking pictures - I'll transfer the pictures onto the computer tonight and I'll get started on blurring them when I have time. You can expect them on Tuesday at the latest.
  13. Oh yeah, pictures. Smashneel, get the camera back to me before Sunday so I can charge it up.

    Fcking Ants

As my car is quite old (see under my avatar, etc.) it used to get a lot of spiders and spider webs. Nothing much to worry about as they were always outside the car, and they were only garden spiders anyway. I guess the mould attracted them a bit too.. Anyway, what seemed to solve the issue (mostly) for me is driving it daily, or even once every two days. I've only had two spider webs since I got my P's. All my webs prior to this were on the outside panels, wheels, mirrors, bumper bars, door handles, etc. Your situation is difficult due to it being near mechanical and electronic things though. I guess you could build a moat around your car..
  15. Not blanking out anyone's number plates or faces (if any) because nobody was hooning around so there is no need to hide anything, in my opinion. If you or your car is in a picture and want it removed/blurred then let me know in a PM and I'll do what needs to be done. http://www.flickr.com/photos/rh1n0/sets/72157613468218885/ I was the passenger with the DSLR in the white R34 GT-T, just in case you're wondering.

    Mystery Switch

Maybe it's like the switch for the "Go-Baby-Go" button, like from Gone in 60 Seconds.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMP60U_Spd0...feature=related (Skip to about 3:30 for the switch and button)

    Hey All

If you want to drive your Skyline, stay in SA. If you want to be with your family/work down here, sell your Skyline or buy a car to use while you cannot use the Skyline. Personally, I would not bother with all the crap that I hear people go through on these forums alone.

    Hey All

    1. If you are living here (Victoria) permanently then you need to get it registered within 6 months of moving here. Being a P-Plater you may not drive a Skyline that has turbo, or pretty much any modification that improves performance. Legally anyway.. 2. The Skyline scene is pretty strong. Some drivers are real hoons, but there are others who actually appreciate their rides and others on the road. There is a monthly meet for the Vic club members and cruises and other events scattered around the year. I think there's a calendar of events somewhere, have a look around. 3. The Dandenongs area is pretty cool. Nice winding roads with lots of tree cover, good for picnicing, driving and taking some nice pictures. There's also Great Ocean Road and the Black Spur. Just off the top of my head.. All of these are just to the best of my knowledge. Best of luck which ever way you go.
  19. I assume it's running Windows XP - if so I would just download CCleaner and ComboFix and let them do their thing and see if that helps. Also clean out your crap if you have any. Un-install useless applications and delete useless files.
  20. He said he has the chance on Wednesday, which implies that the talk has not happened yet..

    Gta R34 Gtr

People seem to be forgetting that he won't be able to drive this car for the next 4 years of his life. Not legally anyway.

tbh, this car has an engine.
  23. The tests are a minimum of like 40 minutes now, a few years ago people passed after driving about for 15 or so minutes, from what they told me at least. I've got my test on the second of February. My instructor says I shouldn't have any trouble. But I might do something silly.. Heh.

    Speeding Fine

You could probably write them a letter yourself. No need for a lawyer. All you really need is to know English and how to structure a formal letter with some persuasive points in your favour. All the best in whatever you decide though.

    Speeding Fine

You can generally get away with it if it was your first speeding offence. Make sure you make reference to your clean driving history throughout the years you have been driving (if it is a significant time). Also, if there were any specific reasons that you may have been distracted or have had your mind on something else, be sure to put that in too. Just don't try to deny speeding.
