U know that, we all know that. Explain why regency wont agree with it. Fact - people who have engineers certified mods on their cars in SA have been defected in the past. Even if u have a mod plate and all mods comply regency can still refuse it on the road, which HAS happened. Even if u STILL get it past them, there is nothing to stop police sending u back again. Its all good to state it will pass if its legal, but we all know regency doesnt care, the police dont. It a revenue raising bitch, and u cant do shit except chase your tail. Have a look at the law and theres a loop hole that states regency doesnt have to explain what they do. Dont make me dig it out. Its all good to offer a cert plate, but in the end u will still end up back at regency. So please offer an explanation as to why u think your certification would be different to anyone else, and if you would challenge regency as to why it was knocked back.

Nice way to say hi Can u then stand by your certificates saying that the police will not defect the car still, requiring a trip to regency to clear? Given the fact they only have to have a suspicion of a defect -without knowledge of the ADR laws that they are defecting for? Are u saying that even though regency engineers can knock back certified safe cars that u will stand by your certifications, and take them to court to follow the matter up, even though they are expemt from any decisions made by them? Please elaborate because i know a few hundered people here and on other foums would love to see you and your certs/plates get past the system that has raped many...

If u are driving the car u are deemed responsible, so it can be defected where it is regardless. U will have to ring regency to find out how to go about getting it off defect or where u stand As said, and u probably know u need to take it for an engine check...

I dont like GTR pumps personally because most of the time u are replacing the std pump because its old, and doesnt flow. I cant see the point of sticking a pump thats just as old on, only for a bit more flow. Id rather rely on a new 040. At 220 u may be seeing the limits of the afm, so u might need a z32. For those power goals (more so the future) u may need a pfc, and injectors.

You probably wont need to get a fpr as yet. I wouldnt trust a 2nd hand gtr pump either... What are the future plans for the car in terms of power? I pfc is a real good investment. Speak to your tuner or shaun at least and he can put u on a good path Dont bother with a bov, u will get defected. A pod filter if u must have a woosh sound.

lol..no high horse. Just replied to what u stated, that regency wont care about 5 or 10mm if u have the 100mm clearance. They will and do check.

after market fpr can be easily spotted. Sits on the end of the fuel rail usually..are u still running the std fuel pump? If so get that replaced before the FPR (which u wont need for a while yet.) Something like a Bosch 040 Hicas, just look under the rear of your car. It should have a steering rack bolted to the diff. If it does, look at the boot rubbers to see if they have been fiddled with. If they look new, it probably has brass shims under them, or look under the rear parcel shelf in the boot for a little black box wired to the hicas computer that says Tomei. Otherwise its std. Ecu chipping..decide on how far u want to push the car in later mods. If u cant see yourself going any further get it chipped, but it will cost to remap the chip again later if u add say a larger turbo. A PFC is a good investment for full tuning the car regardless. Shaun does wonders with tuning them. Cam gears are ok, check the forums, or www.perfectrun.com.au

cf illegal due to the way it reacts during a crash. If u paint it u lose the wank factor of having one to start with. Its been covered here before. Coilovers are illegal unless u weld them @ std height. No point having them as well, see SK's definition of why (unsuited to australian roads etc etc...)

can i ask what for? Anything that is engineered will probably be refused anyway. Regency and police are exempt from the law if they think anything goes against ADR laws -in their mind- then it is defectable and will not be allowed on the road. This is with a certificate and engineered product as well. I know a friend spent over 2k getting suspension engineered that would pass aus wide ADR laws, and it was knocked back. You're better off not even trying in SA. Its the law, and it sucks.

hate to burst your bubble, but i was defected (and still are) for 5mm too low on the rear and 10mm on the front. It states it on the defect form, so they will be checking when i go through. Ive had them pull out the tape in the past as well.

My old man had one years ago. It was slightly different though with 2 U shape hooks on either end. In the auto he used it as shown on the brake, and also it could be put from the brake pedal to the auto lever to stop it being shifted from Park. edit/ wheres the usual can of soda stream to freeze it then smash it off? and who breaks into a car with the drivers seat removed...?

lol...hmmm yer i think rims might be worth selling when hes getting new ones... Its a for sale thread with no price listed, asking what people think they are worth. Cubes went to the trouble of getting the for sale section people wanted, which then basically got unused. Now we have 2-3 threads every week or so in here that are just for sale threads. Is it too much to ask that people to follow the basic rules to use either the thread at the top of the page, or the main for sale section?
