  1. how many times did you have to rewash it after drooling all over it?
  2. you said it seems to work.. if it can turn on then thats a start... a few years back my mates little cousin decided to take his 8210 and drop it in the toilet while we were out... recovered it, washed it... and similar thing happend.. screen was all washed out and faded... cant remember where he took it but they replaced the screen and it was fine... look around for phone repair shops or soldiering places... I once got a phone unlocked and screen replaced by this small store in an arcade on bourke st... can give you the addy, not sure if the place is still there though.
  3. lol.. sorry let me reexplain wot I meant... I still don't think the v clamps are great... but yeh.... wots worse is that I had a 3inch xforce dump with the flange for a standard turbo... the guys I asked to make it nice, neat and flat when cutting the dump's flange and putting on the circular lip for the v clamp and back of the turbo did an appalling job! very ugly welding but whats worse is that it was not flat.. so thats why I am wanting a new dump with the correct flat face for the back of the turbo with a flex in the middle so it should sit nice and flush PLEASE tell me if you can find a stronger clamp anywhere, obviously the more clamping power the better my injectors are not bad at all.... a tiny tiny bit worse...but its only had about hr-hr half max of tuning time... Sam's pretty good doing a quick safe tune... but we need to fix the leak before the final tune and possibly more boost... wot did help the idle being smoother was cleaning out the aac valve...lots of carbon mixed with a quick tune doesn't help at 800rpm the only reason I got them and not some sensibly sized s15 injectors or a slight aftermarket upgrade was because I got them for near the same price you probably paid for the s15's... right place right time I guess...always watching the for sale stuff on here! keep up the good work!
  4. ur mods seem really similar to mine, except for 2 main things.. I have a hypergear tr43 and higher compression cuz its a non turbo engine.... I even have an exhaust leak between the back of the turbo and dump! I agree with those blasted v clamps! im getting a new dump pipe with a flex in the middle... that should work a treat...maybe something you should consider doing to your dump? atm, with a quick tune by dr. drift and the exhaust leak I am on 230rwkw...at 14psi... just to give you some measurement I want to fix the leak and then get a few good hours of tuning and then hopefully if she isnt knocking put the boost up a few more psi and get 250ish interested to know how you go.... Adam
  5. Thanks for the advice felas, dw, turbo is low mounted... had that much trouble getting it in tho I almost went highmount... ok... so it may be a better option repairing the stock one by the sounds of it... just for strength and legality reasons... will post up more questions in the morn after they pop into my head overnight cheers guys.
  6. depends what your after mate, I can recommend a good place close to you called oakleigh mechanical repairs.. they have heaps of parts... but then again I dont know what your looking for...
  7. Hey guys, well I have done a decent amount of mods to the engine, brakes and soon suspension wise... now I am thinking about getting some nice new body panels... but I have a few questions, in particular about bonnets at the moment because I have a few stone chips on my current one. 1. are fiberglass panels illegal?in particular bonnets? 2. I know people say they are lighter and you can go faster etc... but I want an honest answer.. would the weight of replacing a metal panel with a CF/fibreglass panel be a large difference or is a couple kg negligible? 3. I would assume it gets sprayed the same as every other panel in 2pac paint etc... but would a fiberglass bonnet's paint chip/warp due to engine/turbo heat?or do you have to attach the blanket thing to the bottom of it or something else? finally guess I am asking.... do both an aftermarket and standard bonnet function identically? or is one a better option for stuff like strength, weight, warping paint...etc? if it makes a diff... my car is a street car... only been to the track once...probably not for a few years again... Thanks, Adam
  8. hey man, just thought I should tell u, if I was u, I wouldnt be spamming my own for sale thread with little comments like those, seeing as you cant delete posts and edit them like you used to be able to, now after two hours its locked... it will just build up junk... also, why are the front and rears reversed? couldnt fit them in the rear guards?? Adam
  9. just thought I should mention mate, you have a white car.... so do I.... I gutted my stock cat and put it back in...flowed that much better.... got a decent amount of extra power.... BUT... because our cars are white and the petrol company's put "cleaning agents" in petrol... the carbon monoxide that is normally filtered from the cat now comes straight out the back.... its a yellow residue that after about a build up of a week or two will make the back of your car completely poo yellow.... which you then have to cut and polish off or use waterd down degs... any more then two weeks if a cop picked u up and knew anything about exhausts would give you a good slap even though you appear to have a stock cat in there...(big fines so I hear) in conclusion I am now sick of being paranoid, sick of cleaning it constantly and sick of the horrible yellow... so I am going to spend the cash and get a nice highflowing metal cat and done is done! btw.... I also have had a cheapi xforce highflow... going from a gutted cat to that was a big loss of power...if I was you... either gut your cat for the cheap option or spend the cash on a metal core. Adam
  10. lol....use that 20 bucks on more internet or save it... look here Adam
  11. gday mate, i was like you, wondering what to do with my gts4... decided to make it a baby gtr... might give you some ideas in my sig... btw...134kws? have you had it dynoed? mine was 104rwkw cuz we had to take the front drive shaft out cuz was only a 2wd dyno... you sure 134? and is that at the engine, rear wheels or all wheels? if thats stock at the rears then thats not far off standard turbo power... which couldnt be right? Adam
  12. lol glad to hear your ok mate btw.. i just sent you a pm after like 5 months... so you can see the car with the rims on take care
  13. i dunno man... rs's are probably worth a son... those are nice but not THAT great
  14. mmm... its ok... is a bit weak... I do agree s2 looks a tad bit better... but your fog lights look like they came out of a lego set..
  15. want to see some pics... am in SE as well what car to suit??? are they the group buy leather stuff? if not are they actual nissan seats with covers or something else? wheres the tear? see... pics say 1000 words Adam
  16. Thank god your ok mate, I know its bad... but could have been alot worse....imagine you are cruising and just see your back left wheel start bouncing away... still hope you find the prick
  17. gota say that looks hot as... can it work with other ecu's? i.e pfc ? (I know I have a hand controller) shhh.... also...checked import monster for ya.... no remotes on there atm...
  18. you must be very new to the whole skyline thing cuz you need to put up prices! its forum rules
  19. hey bud, just sent you a pm. please let me know. Thanks, Adam
  20. hey mate, I dont know if you are aware of any similar products on the market.... at the moment I have a extreme Torque split controller which I bought about 18 months ago... seems to do the job... but it doesnt have a display and since my car is a gts4 it doesnt have any torque readings in the cluster like I believe the gtr ones have... so the only way I can sort of tell the torque is split is that my steering goes harder.. just wanted to know how this compares if you have heard of other brands... would this be any better then others besides having a display??? regards, Adam
  21. Due to a keen party managing to get a RWC without my rotors (good on ya andi - thanks for letting me know) the full r33 non turbo: calipers, rotors, lines, etc.. are still up for grabs... and lots of other bits... still holding afm for the moment.. but interested party is not sure if its his afm stuffing up or head gasket!
  22. I know you said you sold the drivers side switches... have you got the panel they connected to? if so what condition? price? if i were to come down there may be a few other items i would be interested in. cheers, Adam
  23. I would say depending on your level of mods and how far you want to go... go a metal one... I bought a ceramic highflow... put it on... previously I had a gutted cat (straight through- all the inside bits taken out for max flow) going from that to xforce's ceramic was a massive step down...car lost a lot of power... but once again.. depends on how powerful your car is. regards, Adam
  24. hey man, I got no clue why ... I could have a guess but dont want to point you in the wrong direction... the only thing im looking at... isnt it weird how the pipe that comes off the standard bov and arm has a perfect spot with screw holes for the other bov? almost like it was made for it.... maybe its so you can have performance and sounds??? just a thought...
  25. I had a good lol in the rmit lab.... people looked at me weird Man I cannot believe how many variations of cop cars there are now!
