Not to sure on the 32's i assume you have one however, your brake light circuit may be shorted to your illumination wire for your cd player possibly ? hence pressing brake shorts Voltage to illumination wire and the makes dash lights come on , glove box etc ?? thats where i would be starting to look double check your wires to the head deck first hope that helps also had a fault like this in a falcon a while ago Check all your tail lamp bulbs and make sure the internal filament (wire inside globe) hasnt melted and are touching (eg replace any dodgy looking globes from tail lamps) infact check this first good luck

Help :( R32 Hard Brake Pedal, Can't Find Out What It Causing It.
SeanO replied to Ten Four's topic in Western Australia
hmmmm i once came across a problem like this and it ended up being the brake booster........ it was on a JF viva of all things tho..... it wasnt getting any vacuum just a thought..... -
i had that happen to me once before (tailgating cop car) unmarked btw ...... when they eventually decided to throw the party lights on i pulled over i knew at the time my rear tyres were bald and my tail light was out so when he questioned about my speed i replied with if its anything to do with the tail light it just happened he asked about the tyres i opened my boot there were two new tyres in there to his amazement... he then went back onto the speed issue .... to that i replied some idiot in a silver commodore was behind me really really close and seeing it wasnt a police car i believed someone was following me and i was "scared" for my life ........ It was the undercover cop car and he waved the fine under that condition ..... if this ever happens to anyone from a undercover i'd be pulling that one out quick as WITHOUT naming them specifically say it was just a car following u for "some time" I hope this helps..... not much u can do in your situtation atm except for fighting it in court.. and no i wasnt speeding and i was driving the old commodore at the time .... goodluck

Need Some Help, My Car Barely Goes Forward!
SeanO replied to akiba's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
+1 for Clutch mine did this when it went and seeing as you can get it rolling in 5th see if the clutch was working correctly it would stall now wouldnt it so instead of stalling its slipping and moving the car slowly I'd say its time for a new clutch I've done 2 at home wasnt that hard to do at all just really quite a heavy gearbox especially at 1am in the morning in the cold lol just start saving for a clutch and im sure it'll be right -
I've read somewhere that that sort of thing would make a ticket invalid if there was more than three errors If you notify them they will confirm other details with the officer that issued the ticket and correct the ticket and issue another infringement. I'd suggest paying it , unless of course there is more than 1 error that is quite substantial the officer in this case doesnt know his cars and will simply tell the road authority that he thought it was a sedan of sorts and have his screw up fixed up same thing used to go with birth dates and names if u are asked for your name dob etc and u tell them incorrectly they'll get you for giving false information however if the police officer makes the mistake and misreads misinterprets or guesses something they can turn around and fix it up later on wierd how that works huh

Yeah I agree with ML crisis I span out on Bald tyres I'd hate too see someone else do that and possibly hurt themselves or someone else in the process if so replace the tyres FYI span out on the freeway about 6 months ago aquaplaned into the barrier after hitting some water even still the tyres where pretty worn may have been different if the tyres were new I know alot of people may look down on me for it but still just replace the tyres to avoid what i went through

I'd take the smelling clutch as signs of the clutch going mine went recently i got the 5 puck brass button from slide installed it myself at home (not suggested) lifting the box back into the car was a pain on the arms lol When mine went it was barely drivable and with my luck i was in balga somewhere dropping a friend off i live south of the river never has it taken me so long to get home haha I'd suggest changing the clutch asap

I'd say go the clutch first As Jarrod83 has said the clutch can be eaten quickly once the boost goes up. fortunately for me mine had putted around for some time before both me and him noticed it slipping. Then one night while i was up north of the river the clutch decided to pretty much die i got home the following morning moving at about 10kmph and the car didnt even get up the driveway car stayed there for 1-2 weeks while i waited on a clutch 2 days after i got the clutch luckily it was a weekend both me and jarrod83 threw it on in there with the car at home on jackstands it wasnt the best way for it to go but sometimes u learn the hard way. in other words i suggest the clutch be replaced before upping the boost or before trying to get any more power out of your car goodluck

Mine had the exact same setup with the same Bov when mine was imported ran both bovs the stock one not blocked off just set up as standard with the blitz bov connected up i found that if i ran the blitz one by itself it would stall i soon got a front mount. I then removed the blitz bov and ran the stock bov by itself i found the response from the car after i did this increased a heap the blitz bov is somewhere in the shed lol my 2 cents

Noisy Airbag. Anyone Got The R33 Airbag Rachet ?
SeanO replied to PuppaDuck's topic in General Maintenance
First of all i had this problem as well firstly messing around with airbags is dangerous what i managed to do was remove the metal piece all together 1. Disconnect battery and drain it remove airbag fuse 2. under steering wheel is a cover and to both sides is little plastic covers remove them all and lay to one side (passenger seat did it for me) 3. have your T50 Security or female Torx bit as there known to be and undo the bolts under each of the removed cover locations 4. airbag piece should now be removable from steering wheel and you should be able to remove the metal piece easily and place back together if not you can remove the whole wheel 19 mm nut in middle of steering wheel to remove wheel and replace with a new or good second hand piece swapping over steering wheel internals if required if you decide to remove the wheel there is a metal dot on the end of the column from memory that should assist you in setting it straight again if i have missed anything just let me know and remember do it at your own risk but this is how i did it -
On another note On Australia Day at coogee beach my younger brother was belted by some native people 5 constantly hitting him the other 10 stood back with metal star pickets and a baseball bat he was lucky to walk away with a broken jaw in a few places. apparently they just hit him cause he had alcohol which would be believable in some ways. However cops arrived tasers came out and they ran off. Luckily the police have identified them all and justice will be served in some manner but it is a shame that perth is getting this way i remember back when i was like 6 and you could basically sleep with your house unlocked and could go out in public without getting into an arguement

Awww man my car was parked in brookdale not far from there at my gfs on friday night at about 2:30am i heard from my gfs room the sound of a door hinge being pulled and let go eg. lock your car pull the handle and let it snap back well i heard that ran outside and saw some shadows running away down an alleyway walked out and realised that someone must have tried to get in realised it was locked and then keyed it starting from just above the passenger wheel arch to the taillight man its really ticks me off I dunno but it seems to be really close areas maybe some mob is going round checking lines out in and around the Armadale/Brookdale/SevilleGrove areas i have a silver series 1 33 btw

I recently got a pioneer not the same model but it has ipod connection i found that i had that problem and then i turned it up It shares the audio settings between Am fm then has its own audio setting for CD but then has its own complete setting for Ipod if you havent tried yet try turning it up when it says its playing

Just a note on Handbrake adjusting I always find when i adjust a handbrake i slack off the handbrake end eg the end connected to the handbrake lever inside the car before adjusting it at the rears just something to think about really basically slack the lever end off then adjust the shoes out at the rear to the required amount then check for 6 clicks at the lever if not loosen or tighten until 6 clicks then it should all be setup correctly without rubbing on the drums etc

Rear Seems To Hop On Hard Cornering
SeanO replied to nuffsaid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I seemed to have that problem at one stage my cars left hand rear shock had gone simple bounce test later and a replacement found and its been all good so far it bounced around on tight corners but also on long sweeping corners at speed however it may have no relevance as i have a 33 but still thats my 2 cents hope it helps -
i wrote a whole heap and accidently press back and lost what i wrote lol but anyways my car is in somewhat better condition now with all the second hand parts i got that were broken/gone i still need Passenger air vent (the broke it getting it out with a screwdriver) a Din pocket with a flap (mine had a flap/door on it ) then other than that Im getting a new deck but im putting it in with special security screws eg ( torx bit screws , hex screws ) something someone will look at it and go shit i only bought a phillips lol

we have had the tv for some time now about a year it was delivered tho i drive my car now and it just feels different but i think its just me you know like I'm sitting there looking at it and thinking have they done anything else that i cannot see atm you know the Cops seemed to have plenty of different ideas on it but they believe the group are targeting high end performance vehicles by name only they might have been driving around at night and seen my car on the driveway and thought lets try take it etc etc btw they were looking for the keys to my car cause the other keys to the other cars were all moved and they could have taken the other 3 cars in the driveway but they didnt which struck me as odd

It was about 5am when i woke up with the family to the realisation that someone has been through our house what we found was 1. 106cm Plasma TV gone 2. Ipod and various little things and thirdly my car was broken into and the deck was taken the deck was a nifty little Alpine quite recent model how can people do this??? Went to bed pretty late which would have given them a small time frame to do it went to bed 12am woke up 5am Was in the Jandakot area within Glen Iris oh and they cut a piece of wiring on the tv that is needed so it probably wont work the 33's dash has been ripped to bits I'll see if i can post up some pics in abit once i find the digital camera (Crosses fingers)
