i was told to go 256 or 264 with maximum lift so with 264 around 11mm lift. i dont know thats why i was asking. so far the closest i found were 264 10.25mm.

pod with no pipe pod will fall out hole. pipe needs pod on one end inside standard airbox and the other end attached to the compressor inlet. the pod will be concealed inside the airbox.

keep the airbox in place and the piping that feeds it. get rid of the piping from the airbox to the compressor. cut a hole in the bottom of the airbox. put the pod in the airbox. a black pipe from the pod down through the hole in the bottom of the airbox to the compressor. if you have no pipe then there will be no air going through the pod and your compressor will be ingesting unfiltered air...

sounds like my RB20, yours is more severe...

put the pod in the airbox. cut a hole in the bottom of airbox and have a pipe (preferably black) from pod, through hole to compressor.

ok so im in the market for some cams for my RB20 can anyone recomend any? im chasing around 250rwkws. car will have 040, 600cc, E8, 3071, 3" turbo back and 3" highflowcat and fmic. what lift and durations and lifts should i be looking at? i was looking at 264 with 11mm??

8 months???? i would have thought 5 at most. have you changed much since then??

i thought i recognised your car... its the one i was looking at in the latest HPI...

its my daily so will be driven most days but not at maximum psi would like to go to the strip and crack 11s. just dont want to be getting blocks every couple of weeks. would it be wise to throw in a head gasket?

i just got a bigger turbo and im aiming for around 250rwkw on 18-22psi. i was going to get a metal head gasket but if i dont have to i wont. just dont want to be blowing it up just yet. aparrently RB20s are stronger than RB25s but smaller capasity so takes more to get more out of them.

What are the limits of the internals? how much kw can they handle and whats the most psi you can squeeze into a standard engine? theres a R32 in hpi thats 302rwkw on standard internals. i searched and the best thread was from 5 years ago.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/st...=RB20DET+Limits

he is semi right there is no load in neutral so they wont spool as much. watch your boost gauge when you do it.

Had it dynoed last year, AFR was spoton and it missed then. made 151.1rwkw with 3" catback (possibly 3.5") pod and FMIC at 10.6 psi. Since then ive added 3" metalcat, oil cooler and the splitfires. i know fp is good but i have a 040 waiting to go in and ill be upgrading to 600cc as ill need it. i have another here in mystery condition, came with the dump that came with RB20 turbo i got. ill try it and see what happens. im changing to a nismo lower temp thermostat aswell.

im getting 600cc and a haltech E8 soon so i guess ill just have to wait till then. im just worried thats its the wiring thats all....

Ok so changed sparkplugs (gapped to.8mm) and installed some splitfire coils and the misfire is still there.... it only happens at idle, it fine as soon as the throttle starts to open. its a RB20DET. any ideas???

what engine? i changed mine to splitfires today. is that pic looking at the bottom of the coil?? mine dont look anything like that..... (RB20DET)

yeah ed is great, the only one i trust to do a good job, apart from myself but still not 100% lol. im collecting parts atm for a decent build that ed will put together for me

RB20 Onevia dynoed last year with: JJR fmic + custom piping Drift pod 3 or 3.5" cat back everything else stock made 151.1rwkw at 10.6psi now has a 3" metal cat and JJR 19 row oil cooler and 12psi so should have a little more.

ok im getting said turbo and i want to know if anyone can tell me the following: a) are you using the .63 or .84 exhaust housing? im thinking .84 too big. Im interested in putting a RB25 turbo on my RB20, is it just bolt on or is there any modds required to make it fit? main concerns are with the oil lines. Cheers for the info Adam
