  2. Unsprung Weight. 20 inch wheels are not your friend. If the only reason to put this size wheel is for looks, you need to decide if this one 'pro' is worth the many 'cons' of a big heavy wheel. Nice japanese light weight 17 or 18" Work, Volk etc wheels look 10 times better than ANY 20", full stop. Plus you get the extra respect and kudos. My two cents.
  3. Yeah, they're not light. I took some junk to the tip (or Waste Management Centre, as they call them now) and on the way out it weighed 1735kg. That was with myself (about 65kg) and 1/3 tank of juice. Which I guess would take it down to about 1650kg tare. But hey, XR6 Turbos are like 1800kg, so not so bad really.
  4. I have an RS Four S, Series 2 manual with the factory 17's. Can confirm the wheels are 17 x 7 with 30 offset. The tyres are 215/50 R 17. I was browsing the Work Wheels jap website and they have a recommended fitting guide for the Stagea, incidently every listing shows the same width and offset for both front and rear wheels. Here's what they say will fit: 16 x 7 35 225/50 16 17 x 7 35 225/45 17 17 x 7.5 28 225/45 17 17 x 7.5 30 225/45 17 17 x 8 30 225/45 17 17 x 8 32 225/45 17 17 x 8 35 225/45 17 18 x 7.5 29 225/40 18 18 x 7.5 30 225/40 18 18 x 7.5 31 225/40 18 18 x 7.5 32 225/40 18 18 x 7.5 35 225/40 18 18 x 8 30 225/40 18 18 x 8 33 225/40 18 18 x 8 35 225/40 18 18 x 8 38 225/40 18 19 x 7.5 28 225/35 19 19 x 7.5 32 225/35 19 19 x 8 26 225/35 19 19 x 8 29 225/35 19 19 x 8 30 225/35 19 19 x 8 32 225/35 19 19 x 8 35 225/35 19 19 x 8 38 225/35 19 I assume theses sizes have been tested (at least in theory) on standard vehicle. If you have suspension mods some of these sizes may not fit. Hope this info is helpful.
  5. I've taken the eyelids off now. I think the cars looks a lot better for it too, much smoother. And yes, they were a different white than the car, they didn't have a pearl on them either.
  6. Thanks guys, Yeah, I'm a little on the fence about the eyelids too, might photochop it to see what it looks like without them. The engine just looks like a regular NEO 6, but I took off the coil/plug cover to keep it a bit cooler. Are they CE-28N's, Grant. Hot! Exhaust is nice, very deep at low revs turning into a nice growl higher up. It's probably loudest around 1500-2500rpm. Made a big difference, smoother, bit more power, turbo spools quicker. Looks sweet too. I paid 25G, and now I've spent $1500, uh-oh starting to snowball. I'd like to get some R33 GT-R wheels, black powder-coat, I think would be the goods. And probably lower it and inch or so, too. Who's going to the show/shine day at Merrylands? Is that confirmed yet?
  7. I put up some photos finally. They're in my album. I recently added the Dolphin front bar (off ebay), and an HKS Silent Hi-Power (from Just Jap). Everything else is how I bought it (already had the Dolphin Grill and eyelids) Let me know what you think.
  8. I was reading the thread about Sliding's highflow turbos and they say you have to modiy the turbo's oil feed line to make sure they get enough oil. "Instructions are provided for the modification of 1 oil feed line and 2 oil feeding banjo bolts. These easy modifications can be had done for under $20 at any mechanic or engineer to provide the necessary oil flow and cooling for these turbo's. Having these simple modifications done are a requirement pre-install to insure that the turbo receives the required oil lubrication and cooling." This is the picture. Would this be advantageous for the stock turbo setup, or is it a waste of time? Can the standard turbo make use of a bigger feed or are the lines within the turbo too small anyway? BTW, I have a RB25DET NEO that is currently standard, but I am soon to do a turbo back exhaust.
  9. I think I read somewhere that the EMU can also remove speed limit cut, boost cut and whatever other fun cut Nissan built into the stock ecu, is this correct and easy to setup? This would be good, eliminating the need for 5 different tiny computers to overcome each issue.
  10. I see this thread is well old, but are these items still available?
  11. This car is the US version, and you know how ugly they like their cars. You can see full photos at www.subaru.com . Apparently ugly is in right now, with cars like Ssanyong Stavic, Honda CR-V, Peugeot 207. It seems like no car maker can get it right. But that Subaru looks like a Kia got raped by a Hyundai. It's probably a superior car to the current one in terms of quality and performance, but who wan't to park an ugmo like that is their driveway no matter how good it is.
  12. Yeah, the Z-Tune is the greatest factory Skyline ever! Even better than the Nur version. I remember reading that because when the made the Z they weren't building R34s any more, NISMO went and bought the cars from the public. It took a long time cause they would only accept the very best, low k's, no damage examples. After they got them they were fully stripped and rebuilt. I remeber they have SPAX suspension worth like $4000 per corner. Would love to see one in the metal.
