  1. Well today I checked out a friend's r33 gtr that has 19 inch gtc's on it. He has it in storage, but drived it for a little bit. I'll attach photos. His had about 2mm. Clearance when I checked it out today. He had no clearance problems. I looked at my setup again today after work and measured it. 2.2mm is my clearance. So I'm sure I have found a perfectly good solution to my fitment problems. As a bonus. I have downloaded the stoptech template at 355x35 BBK kit and this will allow me to run a way way small spacer and even increase my clearance problem fender/guard to wheel situation. People talk about cheap wheels this and that. Just food for thought here as it reminds me of a history lesson I learned way way back in school, keeping in mind there is no price to place on your life, and in saying that, what's quality really when your life is on the line. I'm sure there will be a douch bag that will miss understand my point. Simple While the Germans were building the best tanks for war. The yanks were building literally crap for tanks. Where the Germans took 6 months to get there engines just right the Janks put out 2 completed tanks by then. In short it was 8 yank tanks to one German tanks. Quantity won the war even tho the Germans built a better tank. Just to blow the crap out of them. If we could insure a war I wonder how it would have turned out.
  2. Hey your alive. I think it's more than 1mm. I'll do a measurement to make sure. That was me just eye balling the space. I'm also thinking of upgrading the brakes as well. That will give way more room as the caliper would more on the concave side of the rim. But that's later down at some point.
  3. Sorry I may have mist your post and will re-read it. Well I got it to work. From what I see this will clear no problems, i lower it. My 32 stuck out more than this once it was lower it worked it self out. See the photos. This now works with spacers with 1mm breathing room.
  4. Well I checked using the template. I need 8.18 inch from the center hub outwards. I don't have that it comes close as I'm off by 1/4 inch. Well that was good to find out. I'll have to get the 355 set. The template was a great idea. Does anyone know of a brake the system that can be used for the standard oem brembo calipers using just bigger rotors, like 355.?????
  5. Don't you have a link of this template
  6. My r32 in the back stuck out more than this and I make that work.
  7. Today I took the caliper off and moved it outwards. Then the wheels cleared with no spacer. It's very tight. And hard to say. I would give it 2mm spacer just to be sure. But it cleared. It was hard to hold the caliper just right as the brake lines was still on. I was looking at the alcon big brake it. I think that's the name. For 2100 pounds. Comes to about 2600 usd. At 365mm. But it would be nice to have one that has a flatter caliper just to be safe. From what I see this can work even without a spacer. In this photo it's running a 10mm spacer. In the rear it need none. Clears with no problem. I'm just after a perfect wheel base foot print. As I don't want the front sticking out. If I run let's say 5mm spacer up front I'll use that in the rear regardless. I feel just by lower the car naturally it will clear. Just have to roll the gaurds out like my r32. And shape the inner plastic gaurds.
  8. The custom brake rotors and slim calipers is an option. I don't mind it. At the end I'll have both the wheels I like and big brakes which I never had.
  9. To have them clear the last time I pulled out the measuring tape was about 13mm but the closest avaliable is 15mm. That means if I was to move the caliper outward as the spokes are very concave unit it reaches the point were I get 13mm. That would be the rotor size I'll need. This is providing the big brake kit caliper has the same dimensions as the stock ones. All of this I'll do on the weekend. I rather have big brakes and cheap wheels. I don't mind. Blah blah about nice gtr and cheap wheels I don't care. Shatter like glass and all that bs. I have gtc' and emotions, and meister s1s. I'm not paying for that no more. If these glass shattering cheap wheels don't work I'll get another glass shattering wheel. If I work it out tho. Boy will it look the part. That's just my 2 cents on the whole matter.
  10. Your all right. Some more than others. What brake manufactur offer big brake kits that are 365?? Biggest I can recall seeing is 355. Here is a photo of the rims and tires. Just one. Worst case I can take the tires and use them on another set of wheels. I'm going to give it my best before I admit defeat. But I know these wheels are cheap and will shatter like glass if I hit something. I've had cheap wheels before.
  11. This is the car I want them go on.
  12. I'm getting these to work period. Some guys over here put Cadillac cts calipers on 240sx. I rather that kind of problems. I have a set I bought some time back. And I can try them on this gtr. If it fits s14s then I should be able to fit them on this r33 gtr. There option I just have to work through them inner clears is plenty.
  13. Side photo of the rear you guys don't think even with 5mm spacer and rolled gaurds it won't clear?
  14. I might be in for trouble. I'm not scard. Just nervous. Lol. May not work tho. I only have one wheel so far for testing. I see the bigger caliper and smaller spacer working. Inner gaurds I usually use a heat gun and reshape them to fit. Here is a photo of my r32 and at stock high the wheels stuck out 1 inch
  15. I used 15mm spacers and worked great. Just got the last 3 rims and tires. Thanks for all the input guys. Spacing the caliper helped a bit, but wasn't enough. I used 15mm spacers and it works. The rear isn't a problem it was the front. These wheels only come in +8 in 18x11 the way i see it is I have 2 option both have spacers involved one a thinner spacer than the other. I have a r32 gtr with 10.5 meister and they did stick out alot but after lowering it and rolling the gaurds it was absolutely perfect. These seems like it's going in the same direction. When I space the caliper out I'll need like a 5mm spacer and that workable. When. The calipers in the original location. I need a 15mm spacer. I made a test spacer and took my coilovers out to jack the wheel up. It looks like my r32 very close but can clear if I roll the gaurds. I will do that soon. I fitted 285/30/18 on this rim today and will test fit this weekend. I'll post photos. As the car in the photo is a customers. I have to roll his gaurds to. Perfect timing.
  16. I just don't have access to a dyno. So I can't tune these high end ecus. Every motor I build is ment to blow up. Now that's worst than buying a powerfc and even dumber than buying an out dated ecu. ( microwave) I have many of times offered cash to anyone with a solution better than the one I use now for tuning. I use high knock as my indication of my torque drop off and clean up the air fuel ratios. I have always done a good job of it over the last 10 years on a powerfc. I have tried my ps2000 and just to much crap to work out, guess the timing for that ecu is wrong.. Powerfc let's me do it best for my situation. Well this motor and 2 more are going to hell and when that happens I'll build 6 more. And do it all over again. By then my business hopefully would be big enough to by a dyno and help guys like me out on this rock I live on. One thing I know is I love this bs more than most. In some cases it may have saved my, life if not for this sport, and hope it don't kill me because of it. People talk about tuning over the phone well that's like what I'm doing here. I don't even call it tuning it's like getting a good calibration of all sensors inputs and outputs to work together but not refind. Guys I contacted see the build and the list I give them after answering all there questions, and they tell me they don't like to tune quite this big, and hp level as it's not to safe over the phone.. There more comfortable doing simpler tunes which I appreciate. I like some who knows there limits. I'm trying hard to send this motor in a gts4 to the states side on Orlando Florida for a good tune. Along with a r32 gtr I have. Both about 600hp build. Not that much at all, but capable of much more. These 2 cars are 25+ years old and can be shipped there legally now. The tuner I'm looking at is Martin at RS- Enthalpy. Don't know if any of you guys heard of him. He seems like he does alot of shops stuff tuning wise. I know he does it for enjukuracing. Well as for now I'm stuck with power fc. And thanks for all the links in the right directions guys. I'll microwave it for now. Here is a motor on the way to HELL.
  17. Thanks mate. I'll get these to fit. Some how. I'll post up when I do. These wheels look great and are only 189 dollars
  18. Farked up is how you make your money. That's the most important thing in life not how much you have. I hate even bring this part of me out. Imagine your rich and all your money is gone, your poor again. Now imagine your wealthy. Then you have lots of cash but look at the way you make your cash and the security attached to it. You ever heard of very wealthy people that are very insecure. Or rich people that are very insecure. I'm sure we all do. That's because of how you make your money. Money is just a false sense of security. Again I hate leading this thread away from the topic. In short make money the right way. And you will never care about how you spend it. Associated with this comes low stress if that, none. Real happiness. And a perfect blood pressure.
  19. Hello everyone. I came across a set of rims that I really like. So I got just one rim to test fit. First it's a r33 gtr. They are 18x11 and fits the rear perfectly, but I'll have to roll all the arches. The front looks to need a 1 inch spacer or pretty close to an inch. This is with the car lifter off the wheels. I'm not planning on the stretch Tire look. I want a 285/30/18 on these wheels. Now that you know the situation. Does anyone know of a brake upgrade that will free up caliper space. The rim has a concave pattern and the more I go out the faster I get more clearance space. But a flatter caliper and bigger rotor will work. Other wise I may do a brake down grade. I hate the thought. Any ideas would be great. Wheels are cheap wheels and only have one offset.
  20. Kml. Hell.no. he can't be serious mate. Then tell me how a power fc is an upgrade from a Haltech. Tell you the truth I'm so comfortable tuning a power fc. I guess change is hard to do. I need to stop being so lazy and start messing around with my Haltech ecu. None the less. I've wanted a pro for the last 10 years.
  21. I didn't upgrade from a Haltech mate. I sense the sarcasm. Lol. I know power fc is old. Just wanted one for a long time.
  22. I didn't start it as yet. I have ordered the El commander and once it arrives I will try starting the vehicle. I guess that may be the catch. I notice all the screws are marked so if they are broken it will show. I'm trying to ask a mate I know to borrow his commander so i can try starting it tomorrow.
  23. I paid to much I know. I didn't really care for the price but at 2k usd. That was my limit. I've always wanted a pro version. I have 6 power fc from D jetro to L jetro for gtrs and gtst. So when I got this one I know I paid to much, and this is why I want to make sure I got what I paid for. I bet if I was to say I'm looking for another power fc pro, and will pay 2k for another one. No one here would say they have one.? Other than the price I just wanted to know of all the things to look for, to find out if it's a real pro. After all I look at it this way. I helped a mate out by providing him the cash to get another Skyline closer to his goals.
