Full comp insurance 3 point immobiliser/alarm Steering wheel club lock GPS tracker I'm pretty sure your insurance premium should be down aswell with a decent alarm/ immobiliser setup. Not sure about the other deterrents. Budget method: Killswitches Remove ecu upon exiting Remove steering wheel ditto I reckon everyone should have a gps tracker though, if they decide to use a truck to 'pick up'

I just started a warning topic on stolen cars sorry for my misleading prior post....

INSURANCE + A CAR ALARM + KILL SWITCH(S) + STEERING WHEEL LOCKER+ AS MUCH SHIT TO SLOW THIEVES DOWN! This year there has been close to 40 imports (mainly skylines) go missing in the brisbane to gold coast area (that have been reported on the forums!!) and most of them havent had any anti theft installed or insurance!. Of that about 2% have been returned unscathed, the rest have either turned up as smoldering wreck or in some scumbags shed stripped. Want yours to be next? Dont do any thing to make sure your import is safe and you too can feel the frustration as some drug addict is stripping your 'girl' to pieces while you have no car for work and the police are too busy reloading their speed cameras to care. At the rate theyre disappearing I thought someone should make a post, as its clear people dont know whats going on or have the "it wont happen to me" attitude. Also if you have mates that dont frequent the forums and have an import tell them the above! Lets not give these losers any more money!!!! Anyone else want to chime in and say something useful go for it.

VQ35 with boost = new internals. VH45 with boost OK! RB30DET is proven combo and theres plenty of info on here about it. The only thing about the VH45 is there timing chains are apparently weak, so if you get one regardless of age replace it anyway. Some day I'll have a boosted VH45 in something...

Theres a lot of v6 commies getting around with these things on them, theres a fella who deals them here in aus that has made a mint out selling these to the ignorant. Lol has anyone seen the other ones that dont even do anything? Theyre just a fan you put behind your air filter which is supposed to spin and create a 'vortex' which makes for better combustion and fuel economy... A mate of mine had one in his GTT when he bought it, my god it took some convincing to tell him to remove it...
