  1. I agree with all of the above i had receipts for all my engine work with forged Mahle pistons etc etc i have 362 Rwkw and so far touch wood i have done 20thousand hard driven klms and the engine is fas good as new. The thing is if you can buy a GTR with a fresh motor with receipts and not pay to much extra for it than another then you are in front. I had the luxury of contacting the engine builder and they had all the extra relevant workshop notes attached on computer file for all the clearances etc etc they did for future referencing, now thats fantastic. Honestly if you want to buy a gtr like i have you should know that you are buying a car that does have some trouble and is expensive to repair, if you dont know these things then stick to a silvia period or a SS commordore, GTRs are one of the ultimate street track weapons but nothing this good can come at a beer budget. Even though mine had a rebuilt engine i spent money on checking and getting a retune with my preferred tuner, checking everything injectors, fuel pumps, regulator the lot this i thought most people would do this and not just assume the gtr they bought is all sorted and trustworthy. good luck to all its a hard road to get a good one cheers, Dave.
  2. Totally agree I was fortunate enough to buy mine stock with a 1500klms old just broken in engine with receipts for 15k on engine turbos etc etc but how often can this be going around I was very very lucky. In a perfect world yes a fresher engine would be everyones choice but the chances are slim, I bought my gtr because I'm a big fan from younger days and had long long term ownership in mind so spending extra on it as I have is justified if it's short term as probably for most this concern of engine reliability plays a major part in the term of ownership you want to have it for. Cheers, Dave
  3. I bit the bullet and purchased the Cusco castor arms as per usual they look the goods I asked around alot of performence shops all said great things about the product more expensive yes but I just wanted the peace of mind of the quality will post how I go with them.
  4. Im 37 yrs of age and bought my R32 gtr dead stock in excellent condition, i didnt like the performance it had stock yeah ok but with good japanese parts and tuning now is the ultimate street car.I have kept everything the full stock exhaust, air filters, radiator, intercooler, suspension etc the lot. I enjoy the performance of the modified RB26 its the way i have built the car to how i like it to drive, but the car still looks the same except for the beautiful rumble of the RB26. Im not old but a mature man and a modded car to me is fine as long as it powerwise dont like those stupid kits, but if i every wanted to sell then yes as said before it will sell more when put back to stock which i can do. Anyone buying a 32 you be kidding if you thought that it wasnt modded once the chances are someone my age or younger had the brains to enjoy a modded version keep all the godd original gear and put it back on when the day came to having to part with her. My 2 cents. cheers, Dave.
  5. Thanks Hamish yeah its cool having a car that performs better than half million dollar Lambo but my brakes never squeeled for a year! of hard driving, but i will take your advice into consideration as i have nothing to lose and all to gain that might work. And yeah i did bed them in good. cheers, Dave.
  6. Yeah checked owe steer fluid good and light comes on and goes of does the R32 have some sort of dual solenoid for slow speed and high speed sensing maybe.
  7. I have same problem I have Dba slotted rotors with Ferodo Ds2500 pads work excellent and have been for a year. Then all of a sudden now my fronts are starting to squeel there arse of so embarassing really I've spent a fortune on my gtr and this shits me to tears, pads still have lots of meat rotors have no lip as car never tracked just driven hard like a gtr should be. So to any in the know maybe my discs might need a very very light machine as it looks like they have smoothened out a little could this be the case the pads over time being a course compound do this. Any thoughts?. Cheers, Dave
  8. Thanks Brad yeah speedo is working, hopefully the hicas lockout will do the trick but when you say properly what exactly do you mean are the different ways of doing the lockout job?. Cheers, Dave
  9. Thanks bnr#@ finally some good info from someone that has used this product for a long period of time, great info on the bearings thanks for sharing your experience. Cheers, Dave
  10. Brad you have a point but the thing is alot of items look great sound great but don't deliver. Some people like myself don't have the money to be a test dummy by all means this product may be far superior to cusco etc but like anything real life performance feed back usage of a product will be the difference as to how good it really is and whether it will sell, I base my money expenditure on what is tried can't help I like to play it safe. Cheers, Dave
  11. Hi i need help my power steer is always hard to turn like as if i was driving at 200klm per hr real hard all the time, sometimes when i start the car and before i leave to go out it becomes really light like it should be when parking and not moving. Then after 40seconds goes back to being hard, is there any helpful hints to diagnose what it is, anyone have a wiring diagram for me to go by?, what exactly could i do to fix this i am looking at removing my hicas with lock bar soon can i address it then?. Any info would be great as im tired of feeling like im doing a bicep work out when i drive my girl. cheers, Dave.
  12. How would these be compared to a cusco or ikea formula product sounds ok but has it be tried and really tested like the popular jap brands to give a comparison.
  13. well pete how long before we can order and expect these ready please. cheers, Dave.
  14. if these ever come back ill be in for a set
  15. Wouldn't be surprised if the oz steel they use is recycled skyline and S15 Silvias that all these young guys are wrapping around poles hahah when they go drifting on rainy days.
  16. Advice Jarrod on this forum any form of aftermarket rims that are not light weight, forged, and mainly japanese you will get flogged for it, i got a set of 20inch wheels given to me for a present i have been hassled and abused for them on this forum until i took my avatar picture of because they were chinese. They looked great but on a GTR was sacrilege to have. lol So the choice is yours if you like them and they look great buy them if you are going to wait and see what peoples opinions on this forum are and base your choice on that i think you are wasting your time as you will get haters, and others that think they know alot but dont. Do what pleases yourself. Although you will loose performance as they usually are heavier hence why the purist only like light weight forged like myself i have a set of R34 GTR rims. cheers,,Dave.
  17. Yep unfortunately most parts are not really manufactured in Oz anymore all Chinese mainly it's a shame, anyone else used the just jap suspension gear!!
  18. Now when will the next GB be organised for purchasing. cheers, Dave
  19. haha wow i had no idea people are so passionate about the rims on skylines, thanks Rhys for the input but i really would like to know some info about the just jap gear.
  20. Thanks for that but i have already got my original gtr rims on them for the last 1.5yrs thats an old pic haha i know they are shit cheap rims will change the pic to avoid more comments. But any one else have any info on these parts, hoping to get some of the real gurus advice please
  21. Hi there i own a R32 GTR and i am looking at getting rid of my Hicas, once the car was on the hoist i began to think maybe i will do a few more upgrades to my suspension, i already have Tein monoflex coil overs. But still retain stock sway bars. Front castor arms adjustable, front camber arms which i will be buying the unique autosports new adjustable items soon, rear hicas lock out bar, rear traction arms, etc etc. Now i know that the great brands are Cusco, Ikea formula as an example, but i want to know has anyone used any of the Just jap gear and i dont want haters replying but guys who have tried there stuff and have good advice and info to give. Some of their gear i know is 2 times cheaper but is it good enough for a mainly street car which will see occasional track work. I heard some say that the gear has come along way and alright but others say its crap. Its attractive because i can gear out my entire car with less than half of the cost of the jap brands but i dont want a sour taste 6-7months down the track if its not worth it and should have just kept my original gear. Any thoughts or advice will be great. cheers, Dave.
  22. Hi Duncan what are your thoughts on just japs front castor, rear traction arms, and hicas lock bar for a r32 gtr have you had any experience using these products or heard of any info that you could give i am deciding whether to use there gear, which is affordable unless there is some good advice to be given not to. Any info is greatly appreciated. cheers, Dave.
  23. fatz can i take someones place if they dont come through with the cash? im ready to buy. cheers, Dave
  24. Ok so when will the next batch be up for grabs soon I hope. Cheers Dave
