Hi Everyone Just thought I'd let you know that we'll be running a skidpan day at Oran Park on Sunday 26th July 2009. We'll be running a morning session from 9.00 am until 12.00pm and an afternoon session from 12.30pm until 4.30pm. The morning session will be limited to 6 drivers, and the afternoon session will be limited to 8 drivers, so you'll get plenty of driving time. Cost per driver is $150 This course will be conducted by well known Sydney Advanced Driving Instructor, John Boston The format we run to is pretty simple... Brief classroom session The rest of the time is spent driving practising skid control skills on the skidpan, we will also be running 'motorkhana' type exercises, most of you will be familiar with John, he runs a great program for us in Sydney. One car on the skidpan at a time. Note that we will be using water on the skidpan to minimise tyre wear. If you'd like to come along please shoot us an email [email protected] or give Tessa a call during office hours on 1300 652 693 Kind regards Kev

Guys Due to a number of reasons (one of which was the behaviour of a couple of attendees) we wont be running any more drift days this year. We've decided to replace the Beginners Drift Day on 6th September with a regular track day. We may look at running another Beginners Drift Day in January 2010. Kind regards Kev

-
Lol @ Wayne Yeah yeah, my jobs so boring, Ferrari's whatever
-
..this is what I've been told, the regulars get good food. Shouldn't they look after every customer ???
-
i have to agree with them, I dont recon the food is very good there.. (even though all my asian friends tell me how fantastic it is) much better places to eat in GW than Rock Kung
-
I was talking to John Boston the other day and he told me that there is a small possibility that this event might not even go ahead. !!!! Please tell me that this isn't true, I'm pretty convinced that we have a good chance of winning one of those wrx's.

If you’ve always wanted to have a go at drifting on the circuit, but didn’t want to attend a fully blown drift day, then we have a course that will suit you perfectly. To be conducted at Sandown Raceway on Saturday 7th March 2009, this day is aimed at drivers who want to have a lot of fun and learn plenty about drifting from Australia's best professional drifters including Adam Newton, Luke Fink, and Chris Dejager. The exercises will be conducted on wet roads to keep the speeds down and minimize wear and tear on your car. The cost for this course is $195.00 including lunch and refreshments. We’re taking bookings now, so if you’d like to attend please give Tessa a call on 1300 652 693 Hope to see you on the day Kind regards Kev

we got one of these coming along, GT500 Super Snake 725 horsepower

I'm goin', someone has to hand out drinks and pick up cones..

I cant tell you it is NOT the Bates brothers, Neil Bates has a rock solid contract with Toyota, runs the largest rally team in Australia and certainly doesn't have the time to hang around a film set for days at a time. Now Rick Bates on the other hand....

The racing experience of the presenters is very limited... Cox did some racing in the UK and V8 Bathurst here with average results Pizzati has done a couple of vic state formula ford races in 1999 with back of the field results. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....8/1999.VSRS.E25 http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....8/1999.VSRS.E13 http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....4/1999.SAND.E32

Your sources might not be very true, Luff drives in the Movie world stunt driving show on the Gold Coast, spent many months last year practicing their routine...

Yes ! We have one date already locked in for beginners drift day, Sunday 6th September (but we aren't accepting entries yet) If we have a spare weekend date throughout the year we might also do another drift day. -

Man you guys are just plain stupid I can hook you up with a guy I met in Bali, he sells F1 series TAG watches for $20.00, he's also got Rolex's as well for less than $40.00. He told me that he lost the factory warranty cards though, but he seems legit. Told me if I buy 5 watches I'll go into the draw to win a Ferrari Formula 1 car, and a house in Monaco ! I paid him in full on the spot ! My plan now is to win the Ferrari formula 1 car and enter it into the million dollar driver challenge. Gonna get John Boston to drive it for me, save me the trip up to NSW ! I recon he'll at least finish in the top 6 !!!
