Removing Front Bar Vents On Gtr33 Series 1
Spunky Munky replied to elrodeo666's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yeah, I know exactly what you wanted to achieve...but in my opinion, unless you also get a CF lip for your GTR bar, it will look awkward just having CF air vents in the middle of your bar. Up to you though. Ok, so if you are definitely sure they're removable - doesn't look like it from the picture, nevertheless, get a flathead screw driver and slide it just underneath the bottom of each air vent...then gently flick it up - with your other hand, push the airvent downwards as it has a metal clip that keeps these vents (if they are in fact removable) in place. Be sure to do it very slowly or you can ruin the clip and the capsule that it goes into. A mate of mine has a genuine GTR bar and we did this together. Have a go, if you're still stuck, I suggest you take the whole bar off and do it from the inside. Let me know how you go and if you still need help. Cheers, SM -
Removing Front Bar Vents On Gtr33 Series 1
Spunky Munky replied to elrodeo666's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hi mate, do you mean the air vent holes just under the grill in the front of the bumper? If so, your bar looks like a Fiber glass aftermarket one with the vents solid to the actual bar so you can't remove them unless you saw them out physically. I know that only the Series 3 GTR's had external vents that were removable. -
Type M - R33
Spunky Munky replied to lastlineofdefence's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
OK, type M GTS-T's came with a different front bar identified with foglights and lower lips, had better seat trims plus the front brake calipers are 5 pot brakes and came with stock type M side skirts...non type M's did not. Anyone else? -
OK mate, the first thing to understand is...if a thief really really wants to steal your car - they'll do so...nothing is going to stop them. Secondly, Vipers alarms are indeed amongst the best...however, because they are so pricey and that most other cheaper brands can offer similar features, you'll find it pretty hard to get your hands on a full set. Do some research for extra info, but in general - the Viper Alarm system has 3 vital parts to it...there's the interface module (radio controlled device that acts as a receiver that interacts with the hand-held device), the sensors and the siren. The Viper alarm has many senors, there's the motion, sound, vibration and even force sensors - this is why it is amongst one of the better alarms out there...the siren operates independently with the battery so in theory even if they kill your battery switches, you are still protected. Gary's Radios, Strathfields, Autobarn and Supercheap Auto's used to stock these alarms but you'll find it a bit harder to find a complete package now. You just have to look around. To be honest with you, any alarm would do mate - just make sure you look after your car and always keep it parked underground in a secure area. Good luck.

Origin Original/copy Gtt/gtr Bonnet?
Spunky Munky replied to DECIM8's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I see. I must agree with your CF on a black car doesn't look too good unless it's painted to match. I did the same with my bonnet too - got my CF bonnet painted jet black to match the car - looks much better now. dn noʎ ǝʌıƃ ɐuuoƃ ɹǝʌǝu -
Transformers Steering Wheel...
Spunky Munky replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Thanks mate, but I think it's way too big.... I want something more small...don't know, although I am a hardcore Transformers fan, just don't know if Transformers stickers will make the car look nicer in anyway. Cheers. I may get this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-EMBLEM-350Z-...93%3A2|294%3A30 -
front GTR bodykit cracked
Spunky Munky replied to skylinerocks's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Ohh....this is such a hard question...one that I have been asking myself for years. I am planning on getting a R34 GTR later this year and find this question very hard... the Bayside blue is a "trademark" look of the R34 GTR - very nice and slick, but the jetblack R34 GTR is simply "tough" like nails... very hard to say... I'd have to lean towards the jet black... it's like 45% B-Blue, 55% Jet Black. However, it's up to you...in real life, the jetblack just looks as if it's going to jump up and bite your balls off. -
I think it's called hyper jet black or smoked chrome...it's not actually a "paint" per say, but an application to the paint... You should speak to a paint shop or panel beater for more information.

R33 Series 2 Aftermarket Front Bar.
Spunky Munky replied to NYTSKY's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I have to agree with you on this one...the GTR front bar (although it's simple) looks the toughest on the R33...with the right wheels and offset, the car will look really tough and PHAT...love it! -
Hi there, nice ride...but here's my 2 cents: remove all stickers as they're ugly...lower it a bit more and get a wing on it for God's sake...and wallah, you got a lean, mean, driving machine!

Origin Original/copy Gtt/gtr Bonnet?
Spunky Munky replied to DECIM8's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hi mate, since you're after an original bonnet - why not go Carbon Fibre, they would cost you around the $1,500 mark. Many places sell them. Try www.xxxbodykits.com.au, www.carmate.com.au, www.jetspeed.com.au or check the forum sellers. -

Hey mate, finally someone with a comment...many thanks... Mate, I have asked a few people and they seem to be of the same belief. Hence, I may not get the OEM ones in case they don't fit. Yeah, Spitfire ones are good, but so expensive...so I may have to save up a bit more and get replacements. Many thanks mate. Cheers, Kevin
